Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 948, No Escape

Translator: Silavin

Over eighty Golden Asura Guards! This was not something the people present could handle!

Currently, there were fewer than eighty Players in total, which meant each person would have to face one Golden Asura Guard.

How could they possibly fight against this!?

Such a situation had already exceeded what these people could handle!

Nichirin Takeshi also realized this point and simultaneously understood that since he was inside the palace, he was definitely the one in the most danger!

Despite his severe injuries, he immediately poured two Health Potions down his throat, then struggled to Mount his Armoured Ankylosaurus.

“Quick! Quickly, Run!”

He slapped the Armoured Ankylosaurus hard, urging it to quickly take him out of here and escape for their lives.

However, his Armoured Ankylosaurus was also in poor condition. It shakily got up, but after taking just one step, it crashed to the ground with a thunderous sound, coughing up mouthfuls of blood and internal organs.

Seeing this, Nichirin Takeshi knew his Armoured Ankylosaurus would not live much longer.

If it could receive treatment, it might still be saved. Unfortunately, how could he possibly have time to treat his Armoured Ankylosaurus now!?

Though reluctant to part with his Peak Grade Battle Pet, he understood even more clearly that if he died, no matter how powerful his Pet was, it would be meaningless.

Therefore, without the slightest hesitation, he immediately got up from the Armoured Ankylosaurus and withdrew it into his Pet Sub-Space, then summoned another of his Pets, a Flying Dragon this time.

Nichirin Takeshi mounted the Flying Dragon. Sensing danger approaching from all directions, the Flying Dragon dared not slack off in the slightest and immediately prepared to take flight and leave this place.

The Flying Dragon was very fast. In the blink of an eye, it flew out from the palace.

Seeing even Nichirin Takeshi flee, the others became like scattered soldiers with no will to fight, fleeing backward one after another.

As for the golden city wall, they could not care about that anymore.

Right now, the palace was already so dangerous. They definitely had to escape first and get far away from this palace!

For a moment, everyone scattered in chaos, about to flee along the path they came.

But at this moment, another unexpected change occurred.

The ground beneath everyone’s feet began shaking violently. Then everyone saw the walls of the golden palace actually melting, transforming into flowing mud that surged outward.

They were like slimes, viscous and elastic, spreading outward.

However, they didn’t seem to have any intention of engulfing everyone like the golden city wall did. They merely spread outward, then reconsolidated into new walls.

In just an instant, the palace’s area expanded by a full fold.

Before everyone could escape, they were enveloped within the palace walls.

Even the palace gate that had originally appeared now vanished without a trace.

In one fell swoop, everyone was trapped inside the palace with no escape routes around them.

This scene left all those trying to escape dumbfounded.

They did not even want to enter the palace. But the palace was like a Monster that had directly swallowed them whole!

Moreover, there were no exits around at all.

If like this, how could they continue on!? Even if everyone wanted to run now, they could not.

The most furious was undoubtedly Nichirin Takeshi.

Originally, he thought that with his Flying Dragon, escaping should not be a major problem. As long as he ran fast enough, the Monsters would go kill the others, which would also buy him more time.

At that point, he might not be able to escape from here.

But what he never expected was that the palace would suddenly expand outward, enveloping him as well.

Now, running fast held no meaning whatsoever.

Like everyone else, he too had to face the over eighty Golden Asura Guards present. The outcome was easily imaginable!

Nichirin Takeshi was so angry he coughed up more blood. He could only circle in the air on his Flying Dragon, not daring to descend.

Compared to below, the air was at least somewhat safer.

Now that everyone was trapped here, what the final outcome would be could only be left to fate…

Nichirin Takeshi was panicking, but the others were in an even more panicked state than him.

Many people frantically attacked the walls with their Skills, trying to pierce through them and blast open an escape route.

Unfortunately, these walls were robust, far exceeding their imagination. Even surpassing that of the golden city wall outside.

No matter what Skills they used, they could not leave any marks on the walls.

Most despair-inducing was that those shattered clay sculpture fragments were now beginning to have Golden Asura Guards condense from them.

In the blink of an eye, over eighty Golden Asura Guards had appeared on the scene, hungrily eyeing everyone present.

The Players panicked even more. However, everyone was an expert with deep experience. At this moment, they all relied on their combat experience and instinct to gather together.

Since they could not escape, running around like headless chickens would only get them killed.

By gathering together, they might still be able to leverage their advantages in Professions and resist somewhat.

Facing over eighty Golden Asura Guards, the Players present appeared exceptionally fragile.

The Golden Asura Guards gathered together, no longer attacking other clay sculptures. Because they also knew that facing these lambs awaiting slaughter before them, they could easily handle them.

The Golden Asura Guards drifted toward the Players as Souls at considerable speed.

The Nichirin Takeshi in the air was not their first focused target.

He had the Flying Dragon fly even higher, with absolutely no intention of holding the frontline.

This infuriated Mikami Saburo and Seifu Murasaki, who looked up and shouted at Nichirin Takeshi. “Hurry down and hold off these Monsters! Among everyone here, only you can withstand them. If you don’t act, everyone won’t survive for even three minutes!”

On his Flying Dragon, Nichirin Takeshi replied in terror. “No way I’m not going down! With so many of them, I would not be able to hold them off either! I’m afraid I won’t last even one minute!”

“You coward!” Mikami Saburo was so angry he practically exploded. Seeing the Monsters charging en masse, he immediately released his Skill, condensing thick Earth Walls to try blocking the Golden Asura Guards.

Unfortunately, facing so many Golden Asura Guards, his Earth Wall only lasted one second before being shattered, completely unable to buy everyone more time.

Seifu Murasaki also did not hold back, frantically attacking.

However, these Skills only caused some Damage. It was still far from enough to kill any Golden Asura Guard.

With no other choice, Seifu Murasaki actually turned back to look at the other Players. She raised her hand. Strong winds arose. Several Players’ bodies were blown forward uncontrollably, blocking the way ahead.

These Players were completely dumbfounded. Before they could even scream, they were surrounded by the Golden Asura Guards and repeatedly stabbed to death with their spears.
