Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 919, Flame Python Sect

In fact, Lu Fan no longer even needed a Profession Change Array to have his Fifth Profession Change. In fact, he did not even need to do a Mission like ordinary people.

After all, he was now an Ancient God. As an Ancient God, he possessed power that transcended all the World Mechanics.

And the Profession Change process itself was also one of this world’s Mechanics.

Therefore, Lu Fan could completely rely on his own Ancient God Power to undergo his Fifth Profession Change and break through the shackle of Level 120.

As for the method of breakthrough, it was also simple. Just like other Ancient Gods, he could do so by absorbing energy to awaken higher degrees of his Ancient God Power.

This energy could naturally be obtained from Players and Monsters alike.

If Lu Fan wished, he could now find a country, slaughter everyone there, and absorb their Life Essence. Breaking through Level 120 would be child’s play.

In fact, Lu Fan really had considered going on a killing spree in some other country.

However, this thought startled even Lu Fan himself.

Indeed, Lu Fan did not really care much for these other countries.

Since he had the strength, going there to directly annihilate these other countries would not be a problem.

However, these were people he was referring to. Most were good people, living ordinary lives. Not everyone deserved death.

If he annihilated a country, wouldn’t he be indiscriminately killing everyone, disregarding morality?

Lu Fan was kind at heart but was not some saint. He had already murdered plenty of people. The key issue was, what difference would there be between his indiscriminate slaughter and the Ancient Gods?

Lu Fan hunted Ancient Gods and seized their Divine Seats precisely because during the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, Ancient Gods completely disregarded all life and slaughtered at will.

If Lu Fan did the same, what meaning would seizing their Divine Seats have?

He might as well kill himself now before he starts slaughtering all Monsters and Humans before all the Ancient Gods fully awaken, before the start of the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy.

Lu Fan could not act with such inhumanity. His goal was not to enhance his own strength and defeat Ancient Gods by any means necessary.

What he wanted was to protect this era.

Therefore, he could not put the cart before the horse and destroy what he wanted to protect in order to deal with the Ancient Gods.

Conflicts between Humans should be resolved by Humans themselves.

For Lu Fan to now enter the field as an Ancient God would be crossing the line.

His mission should still be to deal with Ancient Gods, not the Humans.

Therefore, after thinking it over, Lu Fan decided to go hunt Monsters.

Not randomly slaughtering Humans to enhance his own Ancient God Power was an irreconcilable bottom line. If he crossed this bottom line, Lu Fan worried that one day he too would become like the other Ancient Gods, treating Human lives as worthless as grass.

At that point, Humanity would have one more Ancient God to fight against.

After understanding all this, Lu Fan asked Jin Zhan if he could provide some information about Forbidden Areas.

The Forbidden Area he was looking for was not anything strange or unique. He just wanted to seek a place where extremely powerful, invincible Bosses existed.

The more powerful the Boss, the more Life Essence it could provide. Therefore, Lu Fan’s primary targets were still those Bosses lurking in Maps that were incredibly powerful.

Some Bosses even had Levels exceeding 120 and could be called Divine Beings.

Such Bosses were absolutely Lu Fan’s best targets right now.

Upon learning of Lu Fan’s intentions, Jin Zhan had his subordinates search through records to find Forbidden Areas that might contain Divine Being Bosses.

After a day, they really did find quite a few Maps that met the criteria.

After the information was compiled for Lu Fan, Lu Fan selected several Maps from among them as his targets. He soon bid farewell to Jin Zhan and left.

Of course, Lu Fan always carried a Communication Stone that allowed him to contact Jin Zhan at any time, ensuring he could maintain contact with Jin Zhan.

Because now, with Feather Country’s full support, quite a few countries internationally were willing to cooperate with Dragon Country to eliminate the Ancient Gods within their territories.

Once certain countries had suspected an Ancient God existed in their land, Jin Zhan could immediately notify Lu Fan to go and kill them, thereby creating another Ancient God for Dragon Country.

With Ye Sha and Shadow Isle’s Transport Array, Lu Fan could basically guarantee he could return to Dragon Capital in a short time and respond to Jin Zhan’s summons.

After completing all preparatory work, Lu Fan followed his planned route towards the first Forbidden Area to search for possibly existing Divine Beings.

…

One month later…

Within an unexplored Forbidden Area in Dragon Country.

*Rumble…*

The ground suddenly exploded. A massive python with an iron-cast body gleaming with metallic lustre burst from underground. After leaping violently, it began rapidly slithering in one direction at an astonishing speed.

This massive python was fully a thousand metres long. Even though this was a dense forest where each tree stood dozens of metres tall, they were knocked over by the python’s massive body, leaving only devastation in its wake.

What was also eye-catching was that behind this python’s head was a ring of flames, like a divine halo, following it the entire time.

This also made this massive python, though looking terrifying, carry a somewhat sacred air.

Of course, this would be more convincing if it weren’t so panicked and dishevelled right now.

The reason it was so flustered was entirely because behind it followed several Giant Dragons!

Among them, on a Black Dragon sat a young man, who was none other than Lu Fan.

Lu Fan followed behind the python with his Pet Dragons, completely unhurried, even joking, “Stop running little one. You can’t escape. Surrender obediently and I’ll give you a quick death. Isn’t that better than resisting stubbornly?”

This massive python looked very intimidating, and indeed it was.

It was Level 140, a genuine Divine Being!

Moreover, this thing was a huge threat.

The Forbidden Area where it resided was very close to a small city in Dragon Country.

In this small city, there was an extremely sinister Cult called the Flame Python Sect.

The Flame Python Sect worshipped a massive python called the Flame God. As long as they could offer one hundred children to the Flame God every year, it would grant Divine Power to a thousand believers, allowing them to have a Hidden Profession called the Flame God Guardians.

The Flame God Guardians were masters of fire and were all very powerful.

This led to the appearance of tens of thousands of believers in this small city who would steal and abduct children every year, sending them to this Forbidden Area in exchange for Divine Power.
