Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 908, Its Name Is Nine-Headed Insect

Translator: Silavin

Earlier when fighting the Darkness Ancient God, Lu Fan had fought too intensely, even forgetting Jin Zhan’s existence.

Now it seemed Jin Zhan truly was an extremely reassuring teammate, not only able to provide Lu Fan with some assistance, but also not requiring any worry.

After Jin Zhan saw Lu Fan display the World Destroying Dragon Language Forbidden Spell, had already withdrawn to a safe position. Only now, seeing Lu Fan had come over, did he dare approach.

Jin Zhan, riding the Golden Crow, halted beside Lu Fan, looking at the Devouring Dragon King fighting the Darkness Ancient God, utterly astonished. “This Giant Dragon… is also your Pet Dragon!?”

Lu Fan saw that the Devouring Dragon King was currently raging like mad, fighting the Darkness Ancient God. She should not notice the situation here for a while, so he boldly admitted. “En… you could say it’s my Pet Dragon.”

These words absolutely could not be allowed to enter the Devouring Dragon King’s ear Otherwise, with her current nearly Frenzied state, it was not impossible for her to charge over and tear him apart.

Jin Zhan could see something odd about the Devouring Dragon King and said somewhat puzzled. “But Brother Lu, something’s not quite right… This Pet Dragon of yours is clearly quite different compared to your other Pet Dragons…”

“What’s the difference? Oh. Cause she has eight extra heads?” Lu Fan said casually. “That’s very normal, because her name is Nine-Headed Insect.”

“…” Jin Zhan was speechless.

After a moment of silence, he said. “It has nothing to do with the name. What I mean is, her size. She seems to have already reached the size of an Adult Giant Dragon. She is far larger than your other Pet Dragons. Moreover, even I can’t see her Level. It should be extremely high, even… possibly exceeding Level 150!”

“No matter how you look at it, it doesn’t seem like your Pet Dragon. Of course, I’m not saying you can’t control such a Dragon. It’s just that from this world’s Mechanics, her Level should not exceed yours. But from every aspect, it seems her Level is above yours.”

Lu Fan heard this and smiled, saying. “Brother Jin, what you said is correct. Her Level is indeed above mine. It is my Pet Dragon, but the contract we signed is not an ordinary Master-Servant Contract, but rather a contract of equals. Therefore, we are more like allies. Her Level isn’t restricted by my Level. Even after becoming my Pet Dragon, she can still display her original Combat Power.”

“This Dragon was originally an Eternal Phase Giant Dragon. Eternal Phase means that a Giant Dragon’s strength and state have reached their peak. In other words, the strength she can currently display is the true strength of a Giant Dragon. While my Pet Dragons are merely half-grown Dragons. Naturally, the strength they can display isn’t on par to hers just yet.”

Jin Zhan heard this and said in surprise. “So it’s an Adult Giant Dragon…”

He looked towards the Devouring Dragon King currently fighting the Darkness Ancient God and nodded deeply in agreement. “Worthy of being an Adult Giant Dragon. She is truly terrifyingly strong…”

Indeed.

The Devouring Dragon King was currently nearly in a Frenzied state, and the strength she displayed was truly terrifying.

The aftershock of her Skills alone had already made Jin Zhan feel an enormous threat.

One could imagine that such a terrifying existence, once descended upon some country, would absolutely pose a threat no weaker than an Ancient God.

At least, for Jin Zhan himself, even together with Elder Jin and all of Dragon Country’s experts combined, they definitely would not be this Giant Dragon’s opponent.

If this Dragon were willing, possibly with one Skill, most of Dragon Country would be annihilated.

And this was one of Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons.

Having Lu Fan in Dragon Country was truly a great fortune…

The battle between the Devouring Dragon King and the Darkness Ancient God was exceptionally terrifying. Lu Fan and Jin Zhan dare not approach.

This was still with the Devouring Dragon King intentionally restraining her Skills’ power, not letting the Skills leak out and cause too much destruction.

If the Devouring Dragon King truly went berserk, half of Feather Country might already have been destroyed.

The Devouring Dragon King restrained her Skill Power, while the Darkness Ancient God’s Skills had no power to speak of.

Because its Skills were all Ancient God Power used to influence opponents’ emotions and consciousness. It was unable to cause destruction to other people or things.

Therefore, the battle between one Dragon and one Ancient God, although perilous beyond compare, where anyone entering would be instantly annihilated, did not cause as much mayhem and destruction as one would expect.

They had only devastated the land within about a hundred kilometre radius. Although Sandy Breeze City was also affected and half its city wall destroyed, there had not been too many personnel or property losses.

The Devouring Dragon King’s mental nature was firm. The Darkness Ancient God’s current Ancient God Power could not cause massive issues on her.

Therefore, this battle basically held no suspense.

The Devouring Dragon King’s nine heads continuously released Skills, constantly shattering the black mist the Darkness Ancient God’s body had transformed into.

Although this black mist could reassemble like a whirlwind each time, each reassembly also consumed what little Stamina the Darkness Ancient God had left.

Finally, after experiencing a battle lasting over half an hour, the black mist ultimately dissipated after scattering and could no longer reassemble. It was grabbed by the Devouring Dragon King with one claw. Accompanied by a wail and shriek, the black mist completely dissipated.

Instantly, several golden lights flashed across Lu Fan’s body in succession. His Level stuck at the bottleneck of Level 120. This was officially announcing he could undergo his Fifth Profession Change.

From Fourth Profession Change to Fifth Profession Change, the time between was less than two months.

This Levelling speed was enough to make any Fourth Profession Player cry with envy.

Because after Fourth Profession Change, wanting to Level Up simply could not be achieved by killing Monsters. One had to have a more in depth understanding of one’s Profession.

But Lu Fan, using the Profession Change Array that Ouyang Bai Ge had created for him, could still increase his Level through killing Monsters even after his Fourth Profession Change. This was simply too convenient.

Next, he would need to find a way to undergo Fifth Profession Change and obtain even stronger power.

At this moment, all the black mist dispersed completely, and everything returned to calm.

*Phew…* The Devouring Dragon King flew over, tossing a pitch-black stone to Lu Fan, saying lazily. “Here, Ancient God Essence. My mission is complete. Now I’m going back to rest. This wretched Darkness Ancient God. Though pathetically weak, its Ancient God Power kept me constantly on the verge of emotional collapse. What a nauseating ability.”

Saying this, she beat her wings and flew, not lingering any longer. She casually opened a Transport Array back to the Pet Sub-Space and disappeared into it.

Possibly, the aftereffects of her emotions being influenced by it still existed. She now only wanted to calm down, she did not feel like interacting with anyone.
