Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 437, Dragon Capital University’s Final exam

The situation became somewhat awkward.

Lu Fan coughed a few times trying to break the awkwardness. He told Ye Wuxian that Ji Ji could not be carelessly touched.

After all, this little cutie has serious social anxiety. If a stranger touches her, it would be as if her life was being taken. There was also the fact that her entire body was basically made up of poison. Although the poison was only at Level 1 and should not be too strong, Ye Wuxian was not a Dragon. She could not possibly resist Ji Ji’s poison. If she touched her, her hand might even get corroded off.

Learning that Ji Ji was so dangerous, Ye Wuxian’s expression changed, and she abandoned any thoughts of touching her.

Lu Fan took this opportunity to recall all his Pet Dragons into his Pet Sub-Space.

Ye Wuxian looked suspiciously at Lu Fan, saying that before entering the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine, Lu Fan did not have Ji Ji. So, how did he come out with this new Pet Dragon?

Ye Wuxian was now genuinely suspicious Lu Fan could somehow produce Baby Dragons himself. Would that not make him a female in disguise?

Lu Fan was embarrassed upon hearing this. He certainly could not reveal that he possessed the Super Treasure Map System. He just made up a story about triggering a Hidden Mission in the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine and receiving an additional Reward, which was how he obtained the new Pet Dragon.

He was a Dragon Tamer, after all. Was it unreasonable for him to trigger a Mission that gave him a Dragon Egg as a Reward?

Of course, Ye Wuxian was smart and did not believe a word he said. After all, Lu Fan did not have just one or two Pet Dragons, but eight! Getting one or two Pet Dragons through good luck might be believable but getting all eight through Hidden Missions? Who would believe that?

[Does this guy think Giant Dragons are like grasshoppers by the roadside, which could be found just by turning over some grass?] However, Ye Wuxian would not inquire further. She knew how Lu Fan obtained Pet Dragons was his own secret. It was certainly something he would never share with anyone.

She did not question anything else but instead invited Lu Fan to follow her back to the Ye Family Residence.

The Western Border was a special place. It was basically the Wilderness. It not only lacked signal for phone calls, but its Space Principle was also chaotic, making long-distance Transport Arrays ineffective.

Therefore, at the Western Border, people generally travelled by foot or by riding Flying Mounts or using items.

When Ye Wuxian came to fetch him, she had used a rather luxurious mechanical bird, which was no different from flying first class on an airplane. It was also definitely more comfortable than riding the Divine Bone Clone.

Lu Fan followed Ye Wuxian onto the mechanical bird, and they embarked on the journey back to the Ye Family.

After the mechanical bird took off, Ye Wuxian sat beside Lu Fan, chattering about what she had done over the past three days.

The Three Ancient Noble Families had been completely merged, and people had been sent to station and maintain operations at the around three hundred Map Resources. In other words, everything was in good order.

Now, Ye Wuxian had sent people out to find some Players with decent strength to join the Ye Family as outer members.

After all, although Ye Wuxian had integrated the Three Ancient Noble Families, in the previous battle, Lu Fan had killed too many people from the Huang and Loong Families. So, the Ye Family was currently in urgent need of manpower.

Being able to merge and settle down such a large Ancient Noble Family so cleanly in just three short days demonstrated Ye Wuxian’s capabilities.

Lu Fan affirmed how capable she was at managing things, which made Ye Wuxian feel proud of herself. In fact, it was akin to a girl being praised by her boyfriend for her cooking.

“Oh, by the way, there’s one more thing,” Ye Wuxian suddenly remembered something and said, “Yesterday, Zhao Shengming called me to ask about you. He said that in a while, Dragon Capital University’s final exam will be coming up. Though, strictly speaking, with your grades, whether you participate in the final exam doesn’t matter, as a student of Dragon Capital University, he still hopes you can return to take it. The University can naturally make exceptions for you. In fact, they have done so on numerous occasions. But, they also need to consider others’ feelings. So, it is required for you to take the final exam.”

“Final exam?” Lu Fan was stunned, then sighed. “That soon? To think it is already time for the final exam. Time really flies…”

Universities in this world were different from those of his previous life. Here, the top Universities had only one semester per year, with each semester lasting eight months and the remaining four months being vacation.

After all, this world was too vast, and the area of Dragon Country was dozens of times larger than the country Lu Fan was in at his original world.

For students coming to Dragon Capital University from all over, the journey home was unimaginably long if they did not use Transport Arrays. So, in this world, University semesters were long, and vacations were even longer.

In the blink of an eye, Lu Fan had been at Dragon Capital University for nearly eight months!

After passing the final exam, Lu Fan would have completely finished his freshman year. When he returned to Dragon Capital University next year, he would already be a sophomore.

Seeing Lu Fan thinking back on how time flew, Ye Wuxian also smiled and said, “Yes, time passes so quickly. It’s just that you’ve been either in the Far North or participating in the National Trial. These eight months have been too busy for you to notice. Now that the Western Border has basically been settled, if you have nothing else to do, you should return to Dragon Capital University and await the start of the final exam. With your abilities, getting first place would basically be a given. After getting first place, the University will reward you with a ton of Points… Though you don’t really need any Points from us at this juncture.”

Ye Wuxian smiled, suddenly realizing that with Lu Fan’s current situation, Dragon Capital University’s Points were truly useless. After all, Lu Fan could now freely use the Ye Family’s assets.

The assets of the Ye Family were a hundred times greater than Dragon Capital University’s faculty resources. In short, Dragon Capital University could no longer offer Lu Fan anything worthwhile anymore.

Lu Fan understood this point, but he had no intention of dropping out. He genuinely liked Dragon Capital University, and his Aunt was still studying there, so how could he not accompany her until she graduated with a degree?

“Alright. But, I’ll go back later to take the final exam.” Lu Fan nodded, agreeing with Ye Wuxian’s words about returning to Dragon Capital University to go through the motions.

However, Lu Fan could not leave for Dragon Capital University just yet. After all, he had one more important thing to do at the Western Border – killing the Devouring Dragon King!

“Senior Sister,” Lu Fan became solemn as he asked Ye Wuxian, “Before leaving the Western Border, I have a Mission I need to complete. Do you know of a place called Dragon Fall Valley? It should be in the Western Border.”

“Dragon Fall Valley!? How do you know about Dragon Fall Valley!?” Upon hearing this name, Ye Wuxian’s face immediately stiffened.

Clearly, she knew about Dragon Fall Valley.
