Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 410, Xing Chen Enters Maturity!

“Dragon Tamer…” Loong Changkong’s eyes narrowed, brewing with killing intent. “If we don’t eliminate this boy, he’ll become a great threat to us! He’s only Level 40-something now. Yet, he can kill a Fourth Profession Player like Loong Erhu. What will happen when he has his Third Profession Change?”

The middle-aged man spoke with a cold gaze, nodding. “Indeed, this person cannot be left alive!”

“According to Loong Xing’s account, this person has at least two Pet Dragons – one with powerful Crowd Control Skills, and one that acts like an Assassin. In Single Player combat, perhaps no one can match him, but if we deploy more people, killing him shouldn’t be difficult.”

“As everyone knows, the more targets an Area of Effect Crowd Control Skill affects, the shorter its duration. His Dragon might be able to Crowd Control Loong Xing alone, but what if our Loong Family sends other Fourth Profession Players? A Dragon Tamer is ultimately a Summoner Type Profession. As long as we restrain his Pet Dragons and kill him, the Dragons will naturally return to the Pet Sub-Space.”

“As for the Dragon that can use Concealment, I don’t see it as a problem. After all, I have the Hidden Profession, Sun Arrow God. No Concealed unit can escape my detection. I just need to report that Concealed Dragon’s position, then let our Fourth Profession Players avoid it.”

As he spoke, his eyes blazed with light, as if there were two Suns in his pupils.

Hearing these words, Loong Changkong’s expression softened somewhat.

Indeed, Lu Fan killing Loong Erhu had left him surprised and enraged. However, for the Loong Family, Lu Fan was not an unstoppable existence.

What did Concealment matter? They had a Sun Arrow God, whose main Profession Characteristics was seeing through Concealment, traps, and so forth.

With him present, any enemy using Concealment would have nowhere to hide.

With the Sun Arrow God present, they should not have any problem avoiding combat with Lu Fan’s Dragons and be able to directly kill Lu Fan instead.

Thinking this, Loong Changkong gave a nod, “What you said is true. How could our mighty Loong Family be frightened by a mere Second Profession Player? Since the Ye Family thinks having this Dragon Tamer gives them the right to challenge our Loong Family, we’ll let them understand just what our Loong Family’s Hidden Force truly is like!”

“Heed my orders! Gather all Combat Specialised Players of the Loong Family. Prepare to raze the Ye Family to the ground!”

Just as Loong Changkong finished speaking and an attendant was about to relay the orders, someone suddenly rushed in to report, “Patriarch, the Huang Family Elder has arrived with his men. They are all furious!”

“Huang Family Elder!?” Loong Changkong frowned. “What are they here for?”

Loong Changkong was a Level 98 Fourth Profession Player, about to Level Up to Level 99. It was just that he had not been enlightened yet. In terms of Combat Power, he was certainly stronger than Huang Yutian, but could not compare to the Level 99 Huang Family Elder.

So, while the Loong Family had the qualifications to challenge the Huang Family, they still had to show some restraint.

With the Loong Family already in chaos, the Huang Family’s arrival clearly meant ill intent, giving Loong Changkong a severe headache.

The servant who came to report did not dare raise his head, promptly responding. “The Huang Family Elder said that Huang Yutian died at the Ye Family, and that Loong Erhu was an accomplice. So, the Huang Family has come demanding an explanation.”

“Huang Yutian is dead too!?” Loong Changkong was stunned, then thought of something impossible. [Loong Erhu was already dead. How could he possibly help the Ye Family kill Huang Yutian!?]

Loong Changkong looked at Loong Xing, who immediately stood up and said in disbelief. “How is this possible!? After Second Uncle returned, he immediately went with me to the Ye Family, and was quickly killed by the Dragon Tamer’s Pet Dragon. I saw all this with my own eyes! It can’t be false. How could Second Uncle be involved in Huang Yutian’s death!?”

Loong Changkong took a deep breath, rubbing his temples. “Seems like there are many mysteries in the Ye Family…”

“Let the Huang Family in, don’t stop them. The Loong Family and Huang Family each had a Fourth Profession Player die at the hands of the Ye Family. We should discuss collaboration on how to deal with the Ye Family.”

“Yes!” The servant acknowledged the command and immediately ran out to notify the guards at the front to let the Huang Family enter the Loong Family Residence.

…

The next evening, in Shadow Isle…

As Lu Fan killed a Shadow Soul Reaper, a dazzling golden light flashed over Xing Chen, who had been lazily sleeping on a large rock behind Lu Fan.

Seeming to sense the more powerful force surging within herself, Xing Chen slowly awoke and stretched her body.

As she stretched, her body kept expanding, exposing a more powerful beautiful side to her. At the same time, the star-like patterns on her body grew brighter, as if each star contained supreme power that Xing Chen could mobilize at will, unleashing world-destroying power.

Seeing Xing Chen’s body change so much, shedding her previous ‘immaturity’ for the majesty of a ‘young adult’ Giant Dragon, Lu Fan was overjoyed. [Xing Chen must have entered her Maturing Period!]

Xing Chen’s Growth Rate was really far too slow.

When Xiao Ye entered her Maturing Period, she was only Level 30.

Xiao Cui was slightly slower, entering her Maturing Period at Level 35.

However, Xing Chen had actually taken until Level 40 to finally enter her Maturing Period!

Lu Fan had long wanted to experience how amazing it would feel to have tens of thousands of Strength Attribute once he could Ride Xing Chen.

It was only today that this small wish of his could be fulfilled!

Looking at Xing Chen, who seemed like a completely different Dragon now, Lu Fan was extremely pleased. He casually took out his Dragon Saddle.

However, Xing Chen, who was sensing her own power, noticed and after looking at the Dragon Saddle in Lu Fan’s hand, clearly showed a strong rejection to it. She shrank back.

Lu Fan was flabbergasted.

“Xing Chen, you eat my food and drink my water every day, but won’t even let me Ride you? You ungrateful brat, have I been too gentle with you? Or are you just going through your rebellious phase!?”

After half an hour of chasing, Lu Fan gave up, crying to the Heavens— [What an unfilial child!]

With no choice, Lu Fan had to give up on the idea of Riding Xing Chen.

Lu Fan knew that while Xing Chen would not normally let him ride, she would not fail him at critical moments.

He figured that if there was actual combat, Xing Chen would naturally let him Ride her.

However, hoping to casually Ride Xing Chen for fun seemed unlikely, much to his disappointment.

Lu Fan was already calculating in his mind whether to have Xing Chen interact more with Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui later, to educate her on ‘Dragon etiquette’.

Having given up on Riding Xing Chen, Lu Fan opened Xing Chen’s Attribute Panel, wanting to see what changes had occurred in Xing Chen’s Attributes after she entered her Growth Period.

When he looked, his eyes widened.
