Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 443, Fiery Dragon Fury, First Display of Power

Translator: Silavin

In the area, there were quite a number of Poison Slimes. Although all four Pet Dragons opened fire with full power, it was impossible to instantly kill all of them at once.

So, after Xiao Ye and the others began killing the Poison Slimes, these slimy disgusting Monsters started to counterattack.

Unfortunately for them, with Xiao Cui in the back constantly refreshing the Jade Shield for Xiao Ye and the others, the Poison Slimes’ attacks could not even scratch the Dragons.

Even without Jade Shield, Xiao Ye and the others were not afraid of the Poison Slimes’ attacks. After all, they had their Dragon Skin and Dragon Bloodline. They were not the least bit afraid of the poison from these Poison Slimes.

It was just that the opponents’ attacks, which consisted of spitting out yellowish-green liquid, were far too disgusting. If these things fell on their bodies and dirtied their Dragon Scales, not just Xiao Ye and the others, even Lu Fan would feel like puking.

Lu Fan thought for a moment and felt that killing Monsters this way, requiring Xiao Cui to constantly refresh Jade Shield for Xiao Ye and the others, was too troublesome.

After all, Jade Shield blocked attacks based on the number of hits. With so many Poison Slimes below, the Jade Shields would be depleted in just a few seconds, and Xiao Cui would need to reuse the Skill for each Pet Dragon, one by one.

Lu Fan thought for a moment and ordered Xiao Cui. “Xiao Cui, use Jade Mirror Image to duplicate four of me.”

“Yiiii!” Xiao Cui responded, and then light flashed from her body, duplicating Lu Fan.

Lu Fan had his four Jade Mirror Image Projections transform into their Golden Dragon King Forms. Simultaneously, all four used the Skill Lu Fan had just obtained, Fiery Dragon Fury.

As soon as this Skill was released, the Dragon Bloodline within the four Golden Dragon Kings burned fiercely, forming a slightly red flame on their surface.

This flame had no temperature, but it was particularly magical, causing all surrounding enemies to enter a Frenzied State, targeting all their attacks on the Golden Dragon Kings who released Fiery Dragon Fury.

Even enemies without brains, like the Poison Slimes, could not escape the influence of Fiery Dragon Fury.

As the Golden Dragon Kings joined the battle, all the Poison Slimes immediately went crazy, frantically attacking the Golden Dragon Kings.

At that moment, Xiao Ye and the other Pet Dragons were completely at ease, because there were no enemies releasing Skills at them, and they did not have to worry about those disgusting slimy attacks sticking to their smooth scales.

Xiao Ye and the others could now focus on dishing out damage, with even greater firepower.

Although the Golden Dragon Kings were all Mirror Images with only 60% of Lu Fan’s Attributes, with Skills like Guardian Flow and Golden Dragon King’s Shield, even as Jade Image Projections, their defence had reached an incredible level.

The Poison Slimes were not low in terms of Level, but they were certainly not great at Dealing Damage. Their sticky liquid attacks naturally could not break through the Golden Dragon Kings’ defences.

As for the most troublesome Poison Effects, because Lu Fan had 100% Resistance, the Golden Dragon King Mirror Images could also completely ignore them.

Therefore, the four Golden Dragon Kings did not even need Jade Shield, and could easily withstand the attacks of the Poison Slimes, providing an easy environment for Xiao Ye and the other Pet Dragons to attack.

Watching the Golden Dragon King Mirror Image Projections attracted all the attacks by releasing Fiery Dragon Fury, Lu Fan thought to himself, [Like I thought. This Skill is useful.]

In the future, when grinding Monsters, he could let his Golden Dragon King Mirror Image Projections Tank for him, while his Dragon Children could freely attack.

As such, he and his Pet Dragons had Tanks, Damage Dealers, and Healers – a well-rounded combination.

Under the bombardment of Xiao Ye and the four Pet Dragons, the Poison Slimes at the front of Dragon Fall Valley were naturally no match for Lu Fan.

In less than ten minutes, the front of Dragon Fall Valley was already filled with the yellowish carcasses of Poison Slimes.

Seeing that only one last Poison Slime remained, Lu Fan had all the Pet Dragons stop. He soon ordered Xiao Ye to transform into her World Destroyer Form and release Black Dragon Pressure, knocking this last Poison Slime unconscious and suppressing it.

At the front of Dragon Fall Valley, everything returned to calm.

Lu Fan picked up Ji Ji, who was hanging on his body, and said to her, “Ji Ji, it’s your turn now… There are many deadly poisons here, absorb them and convert them into your own poison.”

“Jijiji…” Ji Ji called out timidly, and seeing that there were no strangers around, she finally mustered up the courage to fly up, flying out of Lu Fan’s arms and into the air.

She slowly inhaled, her tiny body gradually inflating like a balloon.

As Ji Ji continued to inhale, strands of yellowish-green smoke gathered from the carcasses of the Poison Slimes and merged into Ji Ji’s body.

After those yellowish-green gases entered Ji Ji’s body, they merged with Ji Ji, adding to Ji Ji’s poison.

Lu Fan looked at Ji Ji’s Attribute Panel and found that indeed, Ji Ji’s Skill, Origin of All Poisons, had been updated again.

Although the Poison Level Rating was still Level 2, the Poison Effect had increased to include Defence Reduction.

Currently, Ji Ji’s Poison Effects has a total of five types, namely Corrosion, Burn, Movement Speed Reduction, Attribute Reduction, and Defence Reduction.

The poison of the Poison Slimes contained two Effects, one of which, Corrosion, was an effect already carried in Ji Ji’s poison. So, after Ji Ji absorbed the poison of the Poison Slimes, she could only obtain the Defence Reduction Effect.

But this was just the beginning. According to the transcript left behind by the Old Patriarch of the Ye Family, the poisons carried by the Monsters in Dragon Fall Valley had at least a dozen different types.

Soon, Ji Ji finished absorbing the poison, and her round little belly deflated.

She called out happily to Lu Fan a couple of times, seemingly very excited that her poison had become much stronger.

Lu Fan walked forward, patted Ji Ji’s head, and then said. “Ji Ji, since you’ve become stronger, you need to learn to fight from now on. Why don’t you try the power of your own poison? I’ve had your Sister Xiao Ye leave you a Monster. You can test how powerful your poison is, okay?”

“Ji Ji!?” Ji Ji’s face visibly changed when she heard this.

She looked at the Poison Slime being suppressed by Black Dragon Pressure, her eyes clearly full of fear.

Lu Fan felt helpless, thinking that if her Biological Parents saw their child being so cowardly, not even daring to kill a Monster, they would probably consider her a disgrace to the Dragon Race.

However, Lu Fan considered himself a ‘patient Father’ and was not in any hurry to teach Ji Ji to kill Monsters.

“Listen, Ji Ji, you are a Dragon, the strongest being in the world, what are you afraid of? Use your poison to try and kill this Poison Slime, alright?” Lu Fan patiently persuaded, giving Ji Ji ample encouragement.

Ji Ji certainly did not disappoint. After only a slight hesitation, her eyes became determined, seeming to feel that since Lu Fan told her to kill Monsters, even if she was timid, she must do as he said.

“Ji Ji!” Ji Ji’s call was very crisp, without any signs of retreat.
