Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 91, A Bit Green on Top

Translator: Silavin

Before that, Lu Fan had one more thing to do. He had to name the Jade Dragon King.

This truly troubled Lu Fan, who was terrible at naming. When he named Xiao Ye before, he had already killed countless brain cells, only to come up with the extremely ordinary name of ‘Xiao Ye’.

Now faced with the same dilemma, Lu Fan was quite vexed.

After much contemplation, he finally decided to simply continue the tradition of naming the Baby Dragons with the ‘Xiao’ prefix.

After struggling for a long time, Lu Fan patted the Jade Dragon King’s little head and tentatively asked, “How about I call you… Xiao Cui from now on?”

(Silavin: Xiao Cui -> Little Jade)

To be honest, the name Xiao Cui had a bit of a rustic flavour to it.

But when the Jade Dragon King heard it, she did not mind at all. She chirped “Yiiii Yiii” a few times, happily accepting her new name.

From her calls, it was clear that Xiao Cui’s personality was much better than Xiao Ye’s. She had a natural pinched sound, unlike Xiao Ye who usually went “Ang Ang Ang” and only “Yiiii Yiii Ying” when near Lu Fan.

It seemed she could only make “Yiiii Yiii” sounds.

Unexpectedly, different Dragon Breeds had such stark personality differences.

For a moment, Lu Fan felt like an Old Father. His Eldest Daughter had always been mischievous, while his Second Daughter was much quieter and more sensible, like a little cotton-padded jacket.

“Xiao Cui, you have an Older Sister. I’ll let you meet her. In the future, your Sister and I will take you to Level Up. We’re a Family now,” Lu Fan said as he drew a small Array nearby.

Xiao Cui looked at the Array, flapping her wings twice, seemingly full of curiosity and anticipation about meeting her Sister.

Before summoning Xiao Ye, Lu Fan had already informed her to come in her Infant Form.

So, the Array Lu Fan drew was not large. As soon as it formed, Xiao Ye in her Infant Form immediately flew out, like an obedient Drushing into her Old Father’s arms after being released from kindergarten.

However, just as Xiao Ye came out, about to climb onto Lu Fan’s shoulder as usual, she saw another Dragon perched on Lu Fan’s shoulder!

Xiao Ye was stunned for a moment, then suddenly exhaled, spewing a ball of flame from her mouth and nose.

Lu Fan, connected spiritually with Xiao Ye, immediately sensed that Xiao Ye seemed to be angry.

Lu Fan was instantly bewildered, wondering if Dragons could be jealous of other Dragons.

The next second, Xiao Ye showed Lu Fan with her actions – yes, and when Dragons get angry, they attack!

Before Lu Fan could react, Xiao Ye had already charged like a bolt of lightning to Lu Fan’s shoulder. She grabbed Xiao Cui with her hind claws, and the two Dragons began to grapple.

Although Xiao Ye was in her Infant Form, she still had the advantage in Level, Attributes, and as a Dragon that was Combat Specialised. How could Xiao Cui, who had just hatched, be her match?

In an instant, the two Dragons began to fight, turning the room into chaos with crashing sounds.

It was less of a fight and more of Xiao Ye unilaterally suppressing Xiao Cui.

In terms of Combat Power, there was no comparison between the two Dragons, with Xiao Ye completely dominating.

However, although Xiao Ye’s claws left many wounds on Xiao Cui, these wounds healed instantly, demonstrating the Jade Dragon King’s powerful vitality.

Xiao Ye could overwhelm Xiao Cui in Combat Power, but killing a Jade Dragon King was impossible.

Moreover, Xiao Ye could probably sense Xiao Cui’s relationship with Lu Fan. Although she attacked immediately, she was not going all out, only using her Physical Strength without any Dragon Language Magic.

Even so, Xiao Cui was being bullied and wailing continuously.

Even knowing that these two Dragons could fight for a hundred years without incident, as the ‘Old Father’ of both Dragons, Lu Fan certainly could not bear to watch his Eldest and Second Daughters pulling each other’s hair and rolling around on the ground, could he?

“Stop fighting, stop fighting…” Lu Fan quickly rushed over to separate the two Dragons.

Xiao Ye, possibly afraid of hurting Lu Fan with her sharp teeth and claws, indeed released Xiao Cui as soon as Lu Fan intervened. She came to Lu Fan’s shoulder on her own, while roaring “Ang!” at Xiao Cui, clearly asserting her dominance.

Xiao Cui, having lost the fight, hung her head low, looking pitiful, making Lu Fan feel heartbroken.

Seeing this, Lu Fan could not help but scold Xiao Ye, “Xiao Ye, how could you hit your Sister?”

Hearing the scolding, Xiao Ye called out “Ang Yiii” to Lu Fan a few times. Lu Fan roughly understood that Xiao Ye probably meant to say that his shoulder was her exclusive spot, and other female Dragons are not allowed to touch it.

Lu Fan was quite helpless, thinking to himself that he really had not expected that as soon as he had two Dragons, his surroundings would turn into a battlefield.

“Xiao Cui didn’t intentionally take your place. No matter what, you shouldn’t have hit her!” Lu Fan could not bring himself to scold Xiao Ye harshly, so he could only gently persuade, “You’re both my good Dragon babies, you’re Family. How can Family hit Family? From now on, Xiao Cui is your Sister. You can’t bully her. You need to act like an Older Sister and take good care of her, understand?”

At this point, Xiao Ye, perhaps to give face to Lu Fan, responded with an “Ang”, agreeing not to bully Xiao Cui in the future.

At this moment, Xiao Cui raised her head, called out “Yiiii…”, and then her body was surrounded by a green light. An emerald green spring-like illusion appeared above Lu Fan and Xiao Ye’s heads, constantly pouring down green light, bathing the Human and Dragon in its radiance.

Instantly, Lu Fan felt his whole body become transparent, as if inexhaustible strength was surging from everywhere.

Without a doubt, this was Xiao Cui’s Skill, Spring of Life.

Since neither Lu Fan nor Xiao Ye were injured, there was no healing of injuries to speak of. But the subsequent continuous effect of Spring of Life made Lu Fan feel that his physical condition was much better, as if with the Spring of Life above his head, he could fight continuously for days and nights without feeling fatigue.

It was just that having an emerald green spring on top of one’s head was not very auspicious.

Xiao Cui was obviously trying to please Lu Fan and Xiao Ye, to make Xiao Ye calm down.

After releasing Spring of Life, Xiao Cui timidly moved closer, slowly extending her little Dragon Claws, one grabbing Lu Fan’s clothes, the other touching Xiao Ye’s tail.

This appearance was just like a little girl wanting to join this Family.

Perhaps it was Xiao Cui’s Spring of Life that made Xiao Ye sense that this Sister would be extremely helpful in improving her strength; that basking in the Spring of Life was a very comfortable experience. Thus, although Xiao Ye dodged Xiao Cui’s claw with a flick of her tail, she did not continue to reject Xiao Cui’s contact with Lu Fan.

It was clear that Xiao Ye was still as tsundere as ever. Even if she had accepted Xiao Cui in her heart, she still outwardly showed displeasure towards Xiao Cui.

Lu Fan was caught between laughter and tears, but this outcome was already the best possible result.

With Xiao Ye no longer jealous, Lu Fan confidently patted Xiao Cui’s head.

Xiao Cui finally became happy, chirping “Yiiii Yiii Ying…” non-stop.

Xiao Ye coiled on Lu Fan’s shoulder, settling down, but her eyes were constantly watching Xiao Cui, giving off an air of ‘If you dare to do anything excessive, I’ll teach you a lesson!’

Now that the two Baby Dragons could ‘coexist peacefully’, Lu Fan also began to secretly plan what to do after tomorrow’s freshmen assembly. Once he understood some of the rules of Dragon Capital University, he must find two Dungeon Instances to run. He wanted to quickly raise Xiao Cui’s Level.

Xiao Cui was only Level 1 now, although already very powerful, Lu Fan still wanted to quickly get her to Level 15. This would make her enter her Growth Period.

Once in her Growth Period, Xiao Cui’s support abilities would become even more potent.

Since it was the first day of school registration, there were no mandatory activities.

After a short rest, Lu Fan was dragged by Han Ke to accompany the three beauties. They used a map to thoroughly explore Dragon Capital University, familiarising themselves with the locations of many buildings.

Finally, the group of four bought some ingredients and returned, letting Han Ke showcase her Skills by making a table full of delicious dishes, celebrating their arrival at Dragon Capital University as students.

The next day was the freshmen enrollment ceremony that Gu Han had mentioned.

All new students had to go to the auditorium to participate in this ceremony.

Of course, Han Ke did not need to, or rather, she did not need to go to the auditorium with Lu Fan and the others.

At Dragon Capital University, there were three Faculties: the Combat Faculty, the Enhancement Faculty, and the Lifestyle Faculty.

The University would assign students to different Faculties based on their Profession.

Students like Lu Fan, Qin Qiu, and Tao Xiaoman, who had Combat Specialised Professions and passed the major exam would naturally be assigned to the Combat Faculty.

Han Ke, on the other hand, needed to study in the Lifestyle Faculty.

In comparison, the number of people in the Combat Faculty was more than a hundred times that of the other two Faculties combined.

Especially the Lifestyle Faculty, because Lifestyle Specialised Professions had little development potential, it was said that the entire Faculty had only about thirty people, barely enough to form one class.

Every year, the number of Lifestyle Specialised Profession Players who could enter Dragon Capital University could be counted on one hand. Naturally, there was no need for a freshman enrollment ceremony for them.

Therefore, Han Ke only needed to report to the Lifestyle Faculty.

So, Lu Fan and the others separated from Han Ke, each heading to their respective reporting locations.

Arriving at the auditorium of Dragon Capital University, Lu Fan found that the University was really too big. This auditorium alone was comparable to a grand theatre from his previous life, majestic and able to accommodate five to six thousand people.

The thousands of new students entering Dragon Capital University could easily be seated here.

When Lu Fan, Qin Qiu, and Tao Xiaoman arrived at the auditorium, many people were already seated, and the whole place was in chaos, with everyone greeting those around them.

After all, they were all the elite who had been admitted to Dragon Capital University. They all had limitless future prospects. Making friends at this time would provide more options for forming teams to run Dungeon Instances in the future.

As soon as Lu Fan, Qin Qiu, and Tao Xiaoman entered, they were noticed by many new students.
