Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 86, Enrolling with Three Beautiful Women

Translator: Silavin

A few days later.

*Clatter…* The roller shutter of the shop was pulled down, and Lu Fan and Han Ke’s Bun Shop was finally closed for good.

Han Ke stood with Lu Fan at the entrance of the Bun Shop. Looking at this shop she had held onto for many years, she sighed. “I really never thought there would be a day when I would actually leave this place. After living here for so many years, to just leave like this, I can’t help but feel a bit reluctant…”

Lu Fan, who was beside her, smiled and said to Han Ke/ “What’s there to be reluctant about? We need to learn to let go. We now have a villa in Jianghai City, and we have several tens of millions in hand. We can buy a house wherever we want to. Why be reluctant to leave such a small place?”

Han Ke looked at Lu Fan and smiled. “Although this Bun Shop is indeed small and shabby. We’ve lived here for so long. It’s inevitable to have feelings for it. I still remember when we first moved here, you only came up to my chest. Now, you’re so big… Time really flies.”

As she spoke, Han Ke looked at this Bun Shop again, her eyes seeming to flash with many stories.

Lu Fan did not speak to avoid disturbing his Auntie’s reminiscing about their bits and pieces of life here. He knew that this place held too many precious memories for her. In fact, it was due to this that Lu Fan had spent 600,000 Dragon Coins a few days ago to buy this shop at a premium.

Later, some businessmen somehow contacted Lu Fan and Han Ke, saying they wanted to spend 3 million to buy this shop and turn it into the ‘top student’s Bun Shop’.

This attempt to make money using Lu Fan’s fame was naturally rejected by Lu Fan and Han Ke. Although the two of them would not live here anymore, it was nice to have such a place to reminisce about their past.

At this moment, two luxury cars drove over from afar and stopped in front of the Bun Shop. A pair of girls got out of the cars. They were Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman.

Qin Qiu was still dressed as a Priest, while Tao Xiaoman had not equipped her Silver Grade armour, but instead had changed into ordinary clothes. She had lost some of her valiant aura but gained a ton in terms of youthful beauty.

Looking like this, Tao Xiaoman was actually more beautiful than when Lu Fan first saw her.

“Lu Fan, Sister Han, we’ve come to pick you up.” Qin Qiu said with an enthusiastic smile as she and Tao Xiaoman walked up.

Lu Fan could not help but show a helpless expression at Qin Qiu addressing his Aunt as ‘Sister Han’. Han Ke was his Aunt, yet Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman called her ‘Sister’. In terms of generation, wouldn’t that raise them to be a generation above him?

But then again, Han Ke was only twenty-five or twenty-six, so calling her ‘Sister’ was reasonable.

Lu Fan could only swallow this grievance and not make any comments about it.

Seeing Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman arrive, Han Ke also smiled and greeted them. “Xiao Qiu, Tao Zi, you’ve come so early. We’ve really troubled you two, making you send me and Xiao Fan to the Dragon Capital.”

Tao Xiaoman was rather cold towards men, but she was much warmer towards girls. She smiled as she picked up Han Ke’s luggage and enthusiastically said. “Sister Han, what are you saying? We’re all going to be students of Dragon Capital University from now on. Isn’t it perfect to go report together? Look, Xiao Qiu’s Family has chartered a private plane. You can come with us on the private plane, it’s very convenient for all of us. So, you’re not troubling us at all.”

“Hehe, regardless, I really have to thank you two.” Han Ke shyly smiled, “Actually, I’ve never been on a plane before…”

“It’s fine. Just follow us. If there’s anything you don’t understand, we’ll explain to you!” Qin Qiu was now very close with Han Ke. She even linked arms with her and led her to board the Qin Family’s luxury car.

Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Lu Fan helplessly asked. “Hey, after you’ve arrived, you’re only taking care of Auntie. How come no one is paying attention to me? My luggage is here too, you know? Isn’t anyone going to help me carry it?”

“Go to hell!” Tao Xiaoman, who often came to Lu Fan’s house for meals with Qin Qiu, was quite familiar with Lu Fan’s antics. So she spoke without any courtesy.

She handed Han Ke’s luggage to the Qin Family’s attendants, letting them put the luggage in the car’s trunk. She placed her hands on her hips and irritably said to Lu Fan. “You have a Combat Specialised Profession. Can’t you even carry your own luggage? I’m not a servant. Helping Sister Han carry her luggage is one thing, but do I have to carry yours too?”

Tao Xiaoman was like this. Her personality was completely opposite to Qin Qiu’s. Not only was her appearance full of valour, but her words and actions were fiery. It made it a bit difficult for Lu Fan to handle.

Lu Fan could only spread his hands and say. “Alright, alright, I’ll carry my own luggage.”

After saying this, he obediently picked up his luggage and handed it to the Qin Family’s attendants to put in the car.

Afterwards, Lu Fan and Han Ke got into the Qin Family’s luxury car, following Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman to Jianghai City Airport to report to Dragon Capital University.

Tao Xiaoman was physically strong. Besides the Silver Grade items prepared by her Family, she had also learned some rare Swordsman Skills. During the major exam, she had teamed up with Qin Qiu, so her major exam results were quite good, ranking fourth in Jianghai City and in the seventies in the whole South Province.

With her results, it was actually a bit uncertain whether she could enter Dragon Capital University. However, in the end, she was barely admitted. This meant Qin Qiu did not have to hesitate between going to the same University as Lu Fan or the same University as Tao Xiaoman.

Not only Tao Xiaoman, but Han Ke was now also admitted to Dragon Capital University.

Originally, to enter Dragon Capital University, besides the major exam, there was only one other way: to be admitted as an exception by Dragon Capital University.

But how difficult was this second path?

If one did not have some kind of outstanding contribution or some kind of extraordinary talent, it would be extremely difficult for them to have a chance to be admitted as an exception by Dragon Capital University.

The reason Han Ke had the opportunity to study at Dragon Capital University was thanks to Lu Fan.

When Lu Fan agreed to enrol at Dragon Capital University, he made a request to Gu Han, which was to have his Aunt also admitted as an exception by Dragon Capital University. She was to be accepted as a student, and enjoy the school’s educational resources.

Although Lu Fan was South Province’s top student, this request was very excessive. After all, Universities, especially top Universities, like the top ten that others were desperate to get into, definitely would never allow anyone to enter through connections.

If a student’s Family was rich and they wanted to bring two attendants or servants to school, that was fine – as long as they did not use the school’s educational resources.

But if they brought in someone and this said person were to become a student of Dragon Capital University, that was going too far.

However, Lu Fan explained Han Ke’s Hidden Profession. He stated how some of the foods she made could permanently increase Attributes. He had even given some to Gu Han, to send to Dragon Capital University’s admissions office.

After they saw it, they were very interested in Han Ke’s Hidden Profession. They held a meeting overnight and finally decided to agree to Lu Fan’s request and issue an enrollment invitation to Han Ke as well.

From then on, Han Ke would also become a student of Dragon Capital University, enjoying Dragon Capital University’s educational resources as a student with an Enhancement Specialised Hidden Profession. She would be treated no different from students who had formally gone through the major exam to get into Dragon Capital University.

When Han Ke learned that she could be admitted to Dragon Capital University, she cried with excitement that day.

She had always dreamed of going to University to study like others. It was just that she underwent Profession Change and became a Cook. Thus, that path had been destined to be blocked.

Now, Lu Fan had not only given her a Hidden Profession Change Scroll, but also secured her the opportunity to go to Dragon Capital University. Han Ke’s gratitude towards Lu Fan was beyond words.

Because of this, Qin Qiu and Tao Xiaoman came today to pick up both Lu Fan and Han Ke, to go to Dragon Capital University together.

Han Ke and Lu Fan’s house and shop in Jianghai City would probably be vacant for a long time.

Qin Shanhai had already arranged all the itinerary for the four of them to report to Dragon Capital University. When they arrived at Jianghai City Airport, the four directly boarded the private plane chartered by the Qin Family.

Because this world was hundreds of times larger than Lu Fan’s previous world, it took a full night to reach the Dragon Capital.

It was not until early the next morning that the plane landed at Dragon Capital Airport. At the airport, the Qin Family had already prepared special cars to directly send the four to Dragon Capital University.

Dragon Capital University was in the northwest of Dragon Capital, while the airport was in the northeast, so the distance was not too far.

Even so, the journey from the airport to Dragon Capital University would take a full three hours without traffic.

Along the way, although they did not cross through the Dragon Capital, they could see the outline of this city from afar.

As the most prosperous city in Dragon Country, the level of prosperity in the Dragon Capital surpassed any city Lu Fan had seen in his previous life.

From afar, one could see skyscraper after skyscraper, with various buildings standing among them. Some were classical pavilions and towers, some looked like they were directly cast from steel, with foreign architectural styles mixed in.

According to Qin Qiu’s introduction, the prosperity of the Dragon Capital surpassed any other city. Anything you wanted to find could be found here.

Whatever it was. Like the Hidden Profession Research Institution, Swordsmen Alliance Hall, Wealthy Merchant Red Flower Society… everything was available there. Even large-scale auction houses. There were at least seven of them!

As long as you were willing, there were endless forms of entertainment in the Dragon Capital every day.

This really opened the eyes of Lu Fan and Han Ke, who had never left Jianghai City in their whole lives. Seeing them so interested, Qin Qiu smiled and said that during school holidays, they could come out to play in the Dragon Capital.

Lu Fan and Han Ke naturally happily agreed.

However, at the moment, Lu Fan was not too interested in the Dragon Capital. His mind engross with the Divine Grade Treasure Map he had obtained.

Thinking about how this Treasure Map was about to be claimed, Lu Fan became excited again.

Finally, after more than three hours of driving, the car had finally stopped.

As soon as Lu Fan got out of the car, he saw a huge staircase about a hundred metres wide stretching before his eyes, leading upwards for hundreds of steps.

At the end of the staircase stood a magnificent gate. The gate’s design was quite classical, with a plaque above bearing gilded characters in flying Dragon and dancing Phoenix style, ‘Dragon Capital University’.
