Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 66, Was It Not Just a Matter of One Lava Blaze?

Qin Shanhai’s words left Qian Xiong in silence.

As classmates, he naturally knew Qin Shanhai very well. Although many people had taught Qin Shanhai, only one person could truly be referred to as his teacher, and that person held an important position in Dragon Capital.

More importantly, this person was one of the representative figures of the upright faction.

Undoubtedly, with Qin Shanhai acting as a bridge, letting this person see Lu Fan’s invincible performance, coupled with the fact that Lu Fan slapped the Extremistis Country Little Princess to defend himself and Dragon Country’s dignity, this person would surely stand on Lu Fan’s side. He would do so even if it meant offending Extremistis Country.

Even Qian Xiong’s superior, a higher-up from the moderate faction, might be affected by his words. Words from that man were enough to impact his career.

Qian Xiong could already foresee that his superior had underestimated the complexity of this situation. Lu Fan’s strength and Qin Shanhai’s attitude were about to bring a major turn to this matter!

After a long while, Qian Xiong shook his head and smiled bitterly. He picked up the chair, sat back down, and then slowly said, “It seems this matter is far more complicated than I thought. Well, I’ve been feeling stifled working for the moderate faction anyway. Do whatever you want then. I’ll return to Dragon Capital alone later.”

Hearing this, Qin Shanhai knew that Qian Xiong had given up on the idea of taking Lu Fan back to Dragon Capital. Thus, he smiled.

As for how Qian Xiong would report back, Qin Shanhai did not need to consider it. By the time Qian Xiong returned to Dragon Capital, the person he needed to report to might no longer be in their position…

At this moment, Lu Fan had already stormed through to the twentieth floor of the Sky Scaling Tower with overwhelming force.

His score had accumulated to 80,000 points, directly surpassing Hong Wu, who was now ranked second.

Hong Wu had reached the thirty-seventh floor, but he was clearly slowing down, obviously encountering some obstacles as he climbed the floors.

Lu Fan was different. No matter what test he encountered, he steamrolled through everything without delay. In fact, no one doubted that Lu Fan would soon catch up to Hong Wu’s speed in clearing the floors.

This was simply unbelievable, because the difficulty Lu Fan chose was Nightmare! Clearing the Nightmare difficulty faster than others of easier difficulty, how could this be explained?!

On the twentieth floor of the Sky Scaling Tower, Lu Fan encountered the first Major Boss, Dark Priest. This was a Level 15 Boss, accompanied by ten Level 15 Mini Bosses, Dark Knights.

Lu Fan was quite familiar with them. These were Monsters from a Dungeon Instance called Dark Corridor. Originally, these Monsters and Boss were Level 30, but as part of the examination, their levels and Attributes were weakened to Level 15.

However, the configuration of this Boss Battle was not weakened. In short, they still have the same Skills.

In the Dark Corridor Dungeon Instance, the final Boss Battle was also a Dark Priest leading ten Dark Knights. The Boss Dark Priest was a Support Type Boss. It has the ability to place Curse DeBuffs on opponents and apply Enhancement Buffs to its ten Mini Boss followers.

Among them, its most troublesome Skill was called Dark Devour, which would pull itself and its followers into darkness, making them immune to all Physical Attacks for 15 seconds. During this time, only Magic Attacks could hit their true bodies. If it was a Physical Attack, it would pass through their bodies without causing any damage.

The principals outside saw Lu Fan reach this floor and thought that this year’s exam were really difficult, with the first Boss being the Dark Priest, which was quite unfriendly to Physical Combat Specialised Professions.

Lu Fan and his Black Dragon had been one-shotting Monsters with their extremely high Strength Attribute all this while. They expected these two to encounter some problems facing this floor. At least during the fifteen seconds when the Dark Priest released Dark Devour, Lu Fan and his Giant Dragon would have no way to deal with these Monsters, right?

But who knew, they still underestimated Lu Fan and Xiao Ye.

Seeing that the opponent was the Dark Priest, Lu Fan did not bother wasting any time on them.

“Lava Blaze!”

At Lu Fan’s command, Xiao Ye immediately opened her Dragon Jaw and frantically spewed out Lava Blaze, engulfing the Dark Priest and all the Dark Knights.

In an instant, this Boss Battle ended before it even began.

After all, even the Level 30 Nightmare Boss, Light Abhorrer, was melted into slag by Xiao Ye’s Lava Blaze. A mere Level 15 Boss, was it not just a matter of one Lava Blaze?

From start to finish, the Dark Priest did not even get to use Dark Devour, let alone cast any Skill, before turning into a large amount of Experience Points.

After killing this Boss and its followers, a golden light flashed simultaneously over Lu Fan and Xiao Ye, both man and Dragon had Levelled Up at the same time!
