Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 501: Chapter 214, Time for Recovery_3

”Amelia, I can feed myself now...” After a few days of rest, Laine was able to eat on his own again, but the Divine Chosen Champion felt a bit helpless and somewhat embarrassed.

”No way!” Amelia retorted immediately, puffing her cheeks, ”Laine, you’re injured, I must feed you!”

”I can do it myself...”

”No way! Here, ah~” Amelia spooned the rice porridge into Laine’s mouth.

”Mmm~”

”Ah~”

”Uh...” Laine’s face turned a bit red. He preferred doing things himself, but Amelia, usually easygoing, was quite adamant this time, insisting on feeding him. Laine had no choice but to let her.

”That’s right, Laine, you should rest more!” Amelia saw he was complying, her sweet little face glowing excitedly. After finishing a big bowl of porridge, she asked eagerly, ”Do you want more?”

”No more, no more!” Laine quickly signaled that he had enough. Only then did Amelia put the bowl down, as the little maid took the bowl, spoon, and food out, cleaned up, and returned to sit beside Laine. ”Laine, are you feeling better?”

”Yeah, in a few more days, I should be able to move freely again, though I’ll still be weak for a while,” Laine nodded. His recovery speed was astonishing; the damaged lung had grown back, and the broken ribs were quickly mending.

”Phew, that’s good.” Amelia let out a breath of relief, saying weakly, ”Laine, you can’t have anything happen to you. Otherwise, I’d have nowhere to go. I promised to be your maid, and if there’s no master, then there’s no maid.”

”I won’t die so easily,” Laine chuckled lightly, gesturing for Amelia to sit closer. ”Staying here all the time is pretty boring, with nothing to see but the sky. Amelia, come chat with me!”

”Okay!” The little maid nodded, slipping off her small leather shoes. Beneath her short skirt, her slender, pinkish legs were wrapped in black opaque stockings. She crawled beside Laine, covered herself with the blanket, and nestled contentedly against Laine’s shoulder. ”Laine, what do you want to talk about?”

”Let’s talk about the recent Knight Tournament. Surya mentioned it when she visited yesterday. It seems she’s already made it to the semifinals?” Laine felt very regretful not being able to witness the grand event of the Knight Tournament due to his injuries.

”Yes, Surya Sister made it to the semifinals. The four semifinalists are Mr. Geoffrey from Angleton, Count Renuo from Jisoleox, Surya Sister, and someone we’ve met before, Mr. Mathew Bade from Connet!” Amelia counted on her fingers one by one, ”In terms of overall strength, the strongest is still Mr. Mathew Bade. He’s already at the Legendary Initial Tier, but his state is quite unstable, thus his strength fluctuates. Sometimes he can easily defeat opponents; other times, he barely wins after numerous rounds of entanglement.”

”Mathew Bade? Didn’t he disappear during the Night of Blood? I remember Miss Fiona even offered a reward for locating Mr. Mathew Bade’s whereabouts?” Laine found it strange hearing Mathew Bade’s name.

Wait... Laine suddenly raised his hand towards Amelia, signaling her to pause and give him some time to think.

He felt like he was missing something.

What exactly was it?
