Warhammer Divine Throne

”Hahaha!” Angerong laughed heartily, slapping Laine’s shoulder: ”Laine, you’ve grown quickly enough. Do you know, there’s a guy from the choir who hasn’t killed any Great Demon since the Grand Expedition began and nearly got stomped to death by a War Dog Level Titan. Even after his fall, his strength is pathetically weak. I could beat him into a pulp with both hands tied!”

”I know who you’re talking about.” Laine licked his lips, snorted through his nose: ”I still don’t like comparing weaknesses.”

”Father of Decay, Nurgle, is different from the war-loving Blood God Khorne. Nurgle’s strength is not inferior to Khorne, but it prefers not to move and doesn’t initiate wars. Nurgle’s greatest hobby is spending its days researching new virus formulas in its realm.” Angerong downed a large glass of red wine, wiped his mouth, and continued: ”Even so, never underestimate the power of a Great Nurgle Demon. You’ve done well to reach this level, a weakened Great Demon is still a Chaos Great Demon.”

”Nurgle is truly the so-called God of Couch Potatoes.” Laine lifted his head, a smirk turning up at the corners of his eyes.

”Couch potato? Of a god? Ha, that’s quite fitting!” Angerong thought about it and chuckled: ”Yes, fat and sedentary, indeed the God of Couch Potatoes.”

The Emperor’s Guard sitting to the side heard the two Primarchs joking carelessly about the Chaos Four Gods, feeling a sense of heresy. In usual situations, the Guard would have already acted to destroy the site.

But these two were Primarchs.

”Laine, recently, I found something... quite interesting.” Angerong opened the safe house he built with the Guard.

The safe house contained various things, Angerong’s spoils, including a lot of gold and silver and many skulls. The light inside was dim; Angerong opened the window to let in light for Laine to view his recent collection.

Angerong handed Laine a stone, the stone looked like a gold coin but wasn’t quite that size. ”Look, what is this?”

Laine took the stone, entirely golden with mysterious runes carved on it: ”Looks like a Dwarf’s work.”

”Indeed it’s a Dwarf’s work, brother.” Angerong retrieved a bag with a dozen such rune gold stones, exquisite craftsmanship, mysterious diamond-shaped runes, and neatly trimmed edges all indicating this is a Dwarf’s masterpiece.

”Where did you get them, brother?” Laine returned the rune gold stone to Angerong, curiously asked.

”Deep in the Charon Forest, near the Oracle Mountain Range side, we found several hidden Green Skin strongholds.” Angerong pulled out a map, pointing his thick finger deep inside Charon Forest.

Though not as big as Arden Forest, Charon Forest is the kingdom’s second largest forest. It spans about fifty thousand square kilometers, crossing four Duke’s Domains, within which numerous Beastman and Green Skin strongholds lie.

”With two Guard brothers, I killed all the Green Skins in the stronghold in five minutes.” Angerong indicated a pile of Green-skinned Big Guy heads: ”I forgot which one, whichever, anyway, from one of them, I got this bag of Oath Gold Coins. According to a Green-skinned Big Guy, their boss hid a lot of treasures, not just a bit, a whole lot, shimmering and shiny, it was exciting, huh, now all mine.”

”I captured a goblin and, with a little trick, made it tell me what this is.” Angerong held the rune gold stone: ”This is called Oath Gold, a high-level Dwarf currency representing a blood debt, brother, I think my weapons might fall on these gold coins.”

”Explaining these to the Dwarves is simple, snatched from Green Skins.” Laine nodded repeatedly, a strange smile on his face: ”We’re avenging our Dwarf brothers, we’re in the right.”

”That’s right, we’re avenging the Dwarves!” Angerong grinned, toying with the Oath Gold: ”We can’t rob the Dwarves’ things because they’re allies, but we can snatch from the Green Skins.”

”Okay, I’ll go back to ask Delong Artisan how much Oath Gold is needed to forge a War Axe made of Vibranium.” Laine took an Oath Gold from Angerong.

”Hmm, remember to emphasize we rightfully took this from the Green Skins.” Angerong and Laine emerged from the forest, Angerong’s new steed, the Horned Eagle Beast ”Nukeria,” cried out, swooping through the sky, landing in the canyon, enjoying a roast pork feast.

”Speaking of which, brother, how did you capture this Horned Eagle Beast?” Laine enviously gazed at the massive creature.

He also wanted a Horned Eagle Beast as a mount.

”I caught it on the way to the Gray Mountain Range while it was fighting a Two-legged Flying Dragon tamed by Green Skins, uh, that’s it.” Angerong pointed to a dragon head hanging on the shed roof.

”I think I understand the sequence of events.” Laine followed the stream with Angerong to emerge: ”I’ll arrange the matter of Oath Gold, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back.”

”One more thing.”

”What is it, brother?” Laine stopped.

”You ought to have a lady, brother. When you’re out fighting, someone needs to manage things at home. I’m just a warrior, not Kiliman; he’s both an excellent commander and a wonderful statesman.” Angerong addressed Laine: ”But I’m not. I can patrol your domain, train your soldiers... that’s about it.”

”...Actually, I already have someone in mind.” An image of a gentle and beautiful figure with long golden curls flashed in Laine’s mind.

”I think she’s most suitable too.” Angerong understood Laine’s choice.

......

Departing the depths of Charon Forest, Laine first went to the riverside artisan workshop to find Master Rune Artisan Delong Feinson.

Inside the workshop, the sounds of bellows and hammering were continuous, Dwarves wearing spectacles closely examined the Oath Gold in their hands: ”This... my Baron, can you tell me how you got this Oath Gold?”

Laine took out a Green-skinned Big Guy head from a bag: ”Green Skins said they were hiding treasures, a whole lot of treasures.”

”Sigh!” Delong Feinson sighed helplessly: ”The glorious era thousands of years ago has passed, now only ruins and lost homes remain. The mountains are no longer the Dwarves’ home and safe haven; the Earth Vein Network once connected the Dwarves’ world but has now become a haven for Green Skins and Ratman.”

”Oath Gold symbolizes Dwarves at their peak during the glorious era. Crafted by Master Rune Artisans using refined gold and special secret techniques, they’re almost indestructible. Each Oath Gold represents a blood debt and ancient rune technology, invaluable to us Dwarves.”

”I’m very sorry.” Laine calmly said: ”Mr. Delong Feinson, I’m willing to return all captured Oath Gold to the Dwarves.”

”Thank you, thank you very much!” Delong Feinson thanked repeatedly, the Dwarf stroking his belly beard: ”Human brother, the Dwarves thank you for your sacrifice. We won’t let you suffer loss. Here, you help me find more Oath Gold, the Dwarves are willing to exchange with all resources at our disposal, any Dwarf King would trade for Oath Gold.”

Hands shook, forming a new trade agreement.

Circling outside, the time reached afternoon, Laine returned to his castle.

The Baron found Steward Kasenberg standing at the entrance, looking anxious.

”What’s wrong, Kasenberg?”

”My Baron, just a while ago, a witch claiming to be your friend wanted to enter your castle. I told her the Baron was out, but she was domineering and barged right in.” The steward said helplessly: ”She has your letter, I didn’t dare stop her.”

”What kind of witch?” Laine dismounted and asked.

”A witch with a purple Magic Staff, quite tall, with black hair reaching her waist,” Kasenberg continued.

”Alright, let me go in and see.”

PS. I’d like to recommend my friend Shiqizheng’s book ”The Floating City Starting from Zero.” It’s a work he’s prepared and worked on meticulously. I’m surprised it didn’t perform well after being launched. I hope everyone can give it a look, and offer some support and encouragement.
