Warhammer Divine Throne

When entering the thick fog, Laine had an illusion; it seemed like there was life within this mist, discerning the visitors.

As always, as Laine walked along the long suspended corridor of the castle towards the heart of the valley, feeling the Goddess’s Favor, he immediately sensed a chill of Divine Power sweep across his body.

Laine knew what it was, so he relaxed his guard.

The fog dispersed, Laine’s pace didn’t stop, and once the baron entered the mist, it surged again from the forest.

In sight was a lush forest ocean. The season in Brittania had already turned to autumn, but the forest ocean in the valley was still vibrant. Under the moonlight and the heavy fog, the little valley embraced a serene atmosphere.

The valley behind the castle covered only one or two hectares. In Laine’s original memory, it was a flat land with nothing on it.

But now, besides being surrounded by a dense forest, a clear pool of water had appeared beside the Lake Fairy Tower, with some herbs growing by its side. The light was weak, and Laine couldn’t distinguish what herbs they were.

Because his attention was drawn to the figure beside the pool.

A beautiful figure stood waiting beside the pool. Her face was enchanting, with a sweet smile, her golden hair cascading to her ankles like a waterfall. Today, the Lake Fairy wore a graceful daffodil lily chiffon gown, with two long ribbons trailing behind her sleeves. The Goddess adorned in a variety of gold and silver jewelry, her emerald eyes held a trace of reproach. Her bare feet wore simple elf sandals, revealing adorable toes painted with red bean pod nail polish.

”You’re a bit late, my champion.” The Lake Fairy slowly approached Laine, her bare hands still dirty with some soil, the sacred glow radiating from her body, whispering in Laine’s ear.

”Your arrival was also later than I expected, my Lady.” With the Lake Fairy Tower right in front of him, Laine walked up to the Lake Fairy and smiled: ”I hope this tower pleases you.”

”Oh! Of course! I am very pleased!” The Lake Fairy twirled gracefully in front of Laine, her dress’s hem and golden hair swaying with the wind like a blooming iris.

The Lady was in a good mood.

Completing a full turn, the Lake Fairy stopped: ”You’ve done well, my champion. You have defeated the Great Nurgle Demon, once again guarding this kingdom.”

”It’s my duty, my Lady.” Laine nonchalantly shook his head: ”Fighting against Chaos is everyone’s duty.”

”Indeed, I was a bit late.” The Lake Fairy also shook her head with a bitter smile: ”As you know, my champion, first I borrowed your strength to unleash a flood upon Musillon, then before I could recover, I encountered Nurgle’s attack. I used all my strength to confront Nurgle, so for the following few months, I had to stay in my Divine Kingdom to recuperate.”

”A fierce battle, unimaginable, that even the Great Nurgle Demon, weakened by the Holy Grail Knight and White Wolf Prince-Elector, cost us such a painful price.” Laine was initially following behind the Lake Fairy, but she held onto his arm, the two walking beside the small pool.

Everything was peaceful, spots of moonlight, the noisy celebrations far gone, leaving only tranquility and faint joy.

The small pool reflected a semicircular moon, with the clear water revealing swimming fish inside, while the divine power of the Lake Fairy circulated in the valley, filling everything with vitality.

There was some silence between the two. The Lake Fairy, with a charming smile and picturesque brows, held onto Laine’s arm, her fullness pressed against Laine’s arm: ”What’s wrong? My champion? Today’s my birthday; why do you seem a bit unenthusiastic?”

”Nothing, I’m happy for the Lady’s birthday too...” Laine shook his head, sweeping away some distracting thoughts from his mind, suddenly smiling: ”My Lady, can you answer a question for me?”

”Go ahead.” The Lake Fairy’s brows slightly furrowed at Laine’s words, with the intoxicating floral scent wafting from her.

”I heard that the Wood Elf Lord, Alaros the Brave, who was the wood elf hero that defeated the ’Shadow Demon’ Mogul this time, once saved an Elf Goddess in his youth, the Goddess of Dreams and Fortune, Lilith. I wonder, Lady, was that you?” Laine asked with a faint smile: ”It’s said that because Lilith was saved, she did this and that with Alaros, and even made a pact?”

The Lake Fairy now furrowed her brows tightly, instinctively wanting to deny this news, but her emerald eyes twinkled playfully: ”Are you jealous?”

”Jealousy is normal, my Lady.” Laine squinted his eyes, the two stopping in front of the pool, the Lake Fairy sat on a swing, while Laine stood behind her: ”As far as I know, I am your Divine Chosen Champion, while Alaros is the Divine Chosen Champion of the Wood Elf Queen Airel.”

The Lake Fairy sat on the swing, feeling Laine’s hand on her shoulder, the dress brushing lightly against the ground. She seemed to be pondering something: ”Indeed, at that time, I was saved by Alaros.”

After saying that, the Lake Fairy seemed to recall some unpleasant memories. She reached out to grasp Laine’s big hand, and with a wave of her finger, a wooden chair appeared beside the swing: ”My champion, let’s sit and talk.”
