Chapter 492: Chapter 211, The Might of the Great Demon

PS.4600-word grand Chapter, hope you all like it

The power of the Great Chaos Demon is unstable because the Winds of Chaos in the Prime Material World are unstable, but these most terrifying creatures remain powerful. The demon before us, at its weakest, still has the strength of a Holy Sanctuary. Ranger Knights are being harvested by it in swathes. Its existence is the link between the Prime Material World and the Nurgle Domain. If it is not defeated, the knights will ultimately fail.

”Reform the ranks, for the Lady!” Mogiana accepted Laine’s suggestion, and she immediately reformed the ranks. The presence of the Lake God Witch boosted the knights’ morale and firmed their resolve. The knights chose to first retreat and congregated around Mogiana.

A brief calculation showed that the number of remaining knights in the human army on the battlefield is less than seven hundred.

Under Mogiana’s command, the knights urgently and swiftly reformed their ranks. Even after such a brutal battle, their armor remained bright, and the emblems on their surcoats and shields still brimming with honor. Despite heavy casualties, not one knight proposed retreat, nor did any feel fear, they only sang the name of the Lake Fairy, offering their loyalty, even their lives.

Only they have the determination to fight Chaos, are Chaos’s mortal enemies.

”Advance, Holy Grail Knights, Lady’s champions, I will use spells to assist you, may the Lady’s radiance illuminate your path.” Mogiana cast several spells on the Holy Grail Knights, including Lorne, who had returned to the front line on an Elf Warhorse.

”Toowoo~ toowoo~” The horn sounded again, the knights were forming up, the Divine Art of the Lake God Prophets was aiding the knights in battle, wounds healed quickly and gradually toughened, a light melody hovered in their minds, dispelling mental fatigue and fear, strengthening the knights.

In the distance, under the Lake God Prophet’s spells, a thick fog filled with spirit bodies appeared, covering the ranks of the Nurgle Demon Army, the powerful force within the fog suppressed the advance of the Nurgle Demon Army.

The weakness of the Chaos Army’s chaotic command was exposed before the knights. Even a Great Chaos Demon struggled to effectively command these Chaos Demons and Chaos Warriors, ensuring they did not fall upon each other and moved in one direction was already challenging. This war lacked the leadership of a Chaos Chosen Champion, and the knights finally saw an opportunity.

They will face the Great Chaos Demon head-on.

”Advance! Knights of the Lady, advance, face the darkness, the Lady’s blessing is everlasting, for victory!!” Mogiana’s piercing voice was like a needle, filling the knights with awe and reverence. In this country, knights might defy the King’s orders, lords might fight among each other for territory, but no one defies the orders of the Lake God Witch, for she is the symbol of the Lady, her command is the Lady’s command. When the King cannot resolve disputes between lords or dukes, the Lake God Witch intervenes to mediate, and knights will have no further objections to her orders.

”For victory!” The knights’ morale soared, they overcame their fatigue and pain, receiving new cavalry lances from their escorts, fighting with sword and shield if no lance was available.

The warhorses snorted, thundering like rolling thunder, the knights charged again.

”For the Lady!”

”For Brittania!”

”For the Lady!”

The knights’ assault swept across the plains like a furious tide, Holy Grail Knights and White Wolf Knights charged side by side, their lances blessed by the Lady and filled with unparalleled hatred pierced through the chests of Chaos Warriors, through the bodies of Chaos Demons, the flaming longswords swept across their fragile bodies, leaving only screams and howls of rage.

The Great Nurgle Demon Master of Pus was in the middle of the Great Army of Nurgle, this terrifying creature watched the knights charge at it with a mocking face, instead of retreating, it rushed toward the remaining knights.

In the mist, Chaos Knights in full iron armor, even the warhorses wore full iron armor, emerged.

The knights of Brittania had been through much. They had defeated hordes of the undead’s zombies or the raging Green-skinned Army, resisting wave after wave of enemy invasions with steely will and cold steel. These warriors fearlessly fought against gigantic monsters or grotesque, twisted mutants, hoping to protect the Lady’s lands. But even the most battle-hardened general, upon seeing the Chaos Knights emerging from the mist and charging, would feel their previously cold, fearless heart shattered by this mere glimpse.

These tall humanoid monsters rode incredibly powerful Chaos Warhorses, both knight and steed clad in the heaviest plate armor, each piece crafted by a Demon Blacksmith Master. The Chaos Knights’ weapons were serrated swords or even more terrifying giant cavalry lances, suitable for tearing through enemies’ flesh.

No matter the shape of these evil weapons adorned with unsanctified runes, they are all imbued with magic for killing and forever shrouded in Dark Fire. Each Chaos Knight is an exemplary figure within the Chaos Legion, for they have walked this cursed path for years and still steadfastly believe in the God of Darkness.

Over thirty Chaos Knights formed two ranks, riding their galloping warhorses, crushing into the knights’ formation like the iron fist of an Evil God.
