Warhammer Divine Throne

Then, the Imperial delegation drove straight in. Boris Todbringer read the national letter brought by Emperor Carl Franz. In general, the Empire acknowledged an equal status with Brittania, hoping to further deepen the alliance, strengthen cooperation between the two countries, promote trade collaboration, avoid tariff barriers, and contribute with Brittania to expel Chaos Evil, eliminate Green-skinned Vampires and other destructive forces, for the long-term stability and prosperity of humanity.

Knight King Richard fully affirmed the goodwill and spirit of Emperor Carl Franz from the Empire. Speaking emotionally, Richard said seriously that more than a thousand years ago, the peoples of the two countries were one. Since ancient times, the people of Brittania and the Empire have been inseparable. We all have a belief, which is to fight against the darkness in the name of humanity. On this issue, Brittania is willing to join hands with the Empire, work sincerely together, and strive to protect the future of humanity.

A lengthy exchange of pleasantries took more than an hour. Laine was very patient, only whispering to Mogiana, ”Boris was forced to make this diplomatic mission. He was also once a candidate for the imperial throne. Since he took the position of Prince-Elector, there have been many rumors in the Empire about his ambitions for the throne. Boris had no choice but to personally serve as an envoy as a Prince-Elector, both to show obedience and loyalty to the current Emperor Carl Franz and to avoid suspicion.”

Mogiana nodded, looking somewhat displeased at the large group of White Wolf Knights opposite: ”They are truly a bunch of barbarians, eyeing me up and down since the start.”

”That’s how White Wolf Knights are, Your Highness. The doctrine of the White Wolf War God is... uh.” Laine hesitated, realizing he had said something inappropriate.

”...” Mogiana seemed to have thought of something, narrowed her green eyes, and said no more.

”If I’m not mistaken, Your Highness, the Empire would never send an entire detachment of White Wolf Knights and so many Cheetah Knights at the same time... we should be prepared,” Laine continued. Mogiana agreed, lightly tapping his hand with her jade-like finger to signal her understanding.

Just as Laine predicted, not long after the formal discussions ended, Boris secretly made a gesture towards the White Wolf Knights, his remaining eye full of cunning.

The White Wolf Knights immediately understood. These followers of Yurik lived for battle, wine, and women. Such formal occasions had bored them for too long.

”I’ve heard that the knights of Brittania are the strongest in the Old World. I, Becker, challenge today! In the name of Yurik! Who will accept my challenge?” Immediately, a young knight draped in a wolf-pelt cloak and dressed in full armor stepped forward and addressed Richard.

Several of Richard’s clan knights immediately stood up, all of them young Ranger Knights without exception: ”A knight never refuses honor and challenge, in the name of the Lady!”

”Battle! Battle! Battle!” The White Wolf Knights immediately clamored loudly, and the Cheetah Knights cheered, creating a huge uproar.

On the other side, the nobles of Brittania looked grim. Brittania was founded on knights and worshipped the Lake Fairy. These wolf cubs were provoking right into the Throne Hall. Out of knightly honor, they had to respond.

”Lord Boris, what is the meaning of this?” Richard’s face darkened. He immediately questioned the Imperial envoy Boris: ”Does the Empire intend to provoke a war?”

”What’s wrong with this? Young people want a duel, and Your Majesty Richard wouldn’t want to comply?” Boris laughed heartily and then provocatively asked, ”Or is it that you don’t dare? Is there no knight in Brittania who dares to accept the challenge?”

The Knight King snorted coldly: ”This is the Throne Hall, not a place for dueling! Please, Lord Boris and the knights of the Empire, move to the arena!”

One hour later, at the Kulona Palace arena.

The arena within the palace can accommodate about a thousand people and is circular in shape. The knightly nobility of Brittania were already fully armed. The White Wolf Knights and the Cheetah Knights were also prepared. The young White Wolf Knight Becker who had previously issued the challenge walked out openly and raised his warhammer, pointing at the knightly nobility: ”Who is willing to accept my challenge?”

”Hendrik of Connet.” Immediately, a young Ranger Knight stood out, holding a sharp sword and shield: ”In the name of the Lady, I accept your challenge!”

”In the name of Yurik!” Becker raised his White Wolf Warhammer.

Both sides agreed to a ground duel, with Boris’s side offering a reasonable explanation: the White Wolf Knight Order didn’t have that many Elf Warhorses.

They saluted each other, agreeing to strike until one yielded, then the two young men distanced themselves. Hendrik of Connet raised his shield and longsword, while the young White Wolf Knight tightly gripped the handle of his warhammer with both hands.

Neither was in a hurry to attack, seemingly sizing each other up.

The strength of both young men was roughly at the Elite Middle Tier. They were energetic yet cautious, unwilling to launch an attack easily. In Laine’s view, using a warhammer had an advantage over using a sword and shield, provided the White Wolf Knight had enough strength.

”For Yurik!” It was Becker who initiated the attack, the young White Wolf Knight charging at the equally young Hendrik like a hungry wolf hunting in winter, sweeping with his hammer, aiming at Hendrik.

”For the Lady!” Hendrik forcefully raised his shield, the hard warhammer striking it with a sharp sound. The tremendous force from the left arm made the young Ranger Knight involuntarily cry out. He retreated slightly to disperse the pressure brought by the warhammer, then thrust his longsword from behind the shield, aiming directly at Becker’s ribs.

The White Wolf Knight immediately turned to dodge. The longsword pierced a hole in Becker’s wolf-pelt cloak, and taking advantage of this opportunity, Hendrik changed the thrust to a chop, targeting the weaker armor spot at Becker’s ribs, slashing down with his sharp sword.

”Clang!” The White Wolf Knight didn’t give the Ranger Knight another chance to attack. His warhammer immediately left Hendrik’s shield, blocking the slashing sharp sword. Then he raised his iron boot, kicking Hendrik’s soft abdomen.

Then, just as Hendrik retreated, Becker immediately reversed his grip on the warhammer handle, striking directly on the kite helmet of the Ranger Knight with the weight ball and the spikes on the ball: ”Boom!”

”Ah!” The Ranger Knight rolled his eyes and collapsed, unconscious, with a few strands of red blood hanging from his face inside the kite helmet. The entire person was knocked out, with the shield and longsword falling to the ground: ”This victory belongs to Yurik!”

”Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!” The White Wolf Knights and the Cheetah Knights shouted loudly, and Boris raised his arms high: ”Only Charlemagne’s god—Yurik can decide everything, for Yurik!”

”For Yurik!”

The knights from the Empire shouted loudly, shaking the sky, while on the other side, the Brittania nobles glared angrily at this damned group of Imperial people.

The young White Wolf Knight understood some restraint. Hendrik was dragged back by his escort. Having only been knocked unconscious, the Ranger Knight only needed some bandaging and a few days of rest.

”Damn wolf cubs!” ”Little bastard, this wasn’t a fair duel!” Many Brittania nobles gritted their teeth, realizing that the Ranger Knight was indeed too weak. To deal with White Wolf Knights, Kingdom Knights were needed.

”Who is the next challenger? Are all the followers of the Lady of the Lake such a bunch?” Becker, seeing his cheers not reciprocated, continued to provoke: ”Isn’t there anyone with a bit more backbone?”

”Shut up! This is Kulona, the glory of Brittania cannot be defiled by you! Tolan of Kakasong, here to learn the skills of the White Wolf Knights!” A Kingdom Knight stood up.

”Fine, let’s continue!”
