Warhammer Divine Throne

The Lake God Witch seemed to want to apologize, but she didn’t know how to express it. Laine gestured that it was not a problem, and instead subtly changed the topic: ”Aldred, the heir of the Duke of Leonais is about to lose!”

In the middle of the arena, Aldred was retreating, the young Kingdom Knight struggling to grip his shield and longsword. Yet after repeated blows from the White Wolf Knight, his arm was numb and lifeless, with the benefits of excessive drinking gradually fading away; his mental excitement was declining, and the influence of alcohol left him shaky.

The sword tip was trembling.

”Urgh!” ”Bang!” The silver skull Warhammer head swept across the lower part of the longsword and then angled upward, causing Aldred to finally lose grip of the hilt, and the longsword soared into the sky.

Aldred could only rely on his shield for defense, while Coniel became more frantic, his Warhammer incessantly pounding the shield’s surface.

”Boom!” ”Boom!”

The shield gradually deformed, and the Duke’s legitimate son behind the shield was sweating profusely. He struggled to lift his arms, with his entire body kneeling on the ground.

He was still unwilling to concede.

”Enough! We lost this match!” Despite Aldred’s reluctance to concede, the Duke of Leonais, Dalheid, decided to give up and stood up immediately, shouting.

”No! Father!” ”Enough, Aldred!” They shouted almost simultaneously, Dalheid and Aldred.

”...Alright, I concede.”

”This victory belongs to Yurik!” It was the Empire’s turn to cheer, as the White Wolf Knights and Cheetah Knights’ cheers resounded to the skies, until the escorts came out to drag Aldred back, whereupon everyone noticed that the Duke’s legitimate son was already covered in bruises.

In the cold void, two deities were watching the duel in the arena.

”Hahaha! Losing Laine doesn’t matter, I have plenty of outstanding lads on my side!” The White Wolf War God Yurik, dressed in ancient silvery armor and draped in wolf pelt, saw his Champion Warrior defeat the opponent and couldn’t contain his pride, speaking to the Goddess opposite.

The Lake Fairy, dressed in a silk long dress, didn’t answer Yurik’s words. She kept a stern face, remaining silent.

”Listen, listen, my brothers, my His Highness Elector, I have won a match, but I have not yet done my best, not achieved the final victory!” Coniel lifted his Warhammer, speaking to the cheering crowd on his side.

The cheers gradually subsided.

”I have one more person to defeat! Since I’m a champion, Brittania should also send out a champion to confront me! Or do you lack the courage to accept my challenge?” Coniel lifted his Warhammer, his gaze directly targeting Laine seated in the stands.

The Lake God Witch immediately showed hostility, Mogiana intended to scold the ignorant young White Wolf Knight Company Commander.

Laine shook his head and sneered, ”My lord, I’ll be right back... Coniel Rizfield? I accept your challenge!”

Seeing Laine take the field, King Richard sighed in disapproval, while the Duke of Leonais, Dalheid, looked at him with displeasure. On the contrary, Francois and Lorne cast encouraging glances toward Laine.

”Very well, today, let’s decide the winner, who is the true champion!” Coniel Rizfield displayed a row of pale yellow teeth.

Laine donned his Spiritual Masterwork Power Armor, holding his hammer with both hands. The Goddess of Revenge was strapped behind him, facing the vigorous Yurik Champion Warrior. Laine sized him up and suddenly said, ”Do you exercise daily? You seem quite robust to me.”

”Not particularly, but I’ve been campaigning against Beastmen,” Coniel replied.

”Have you found a girlfriend?” Laine asked with interest.

”Not at the moment.” Coniel didn’t expect Laine to have the leisure to ask him this, and he instinctively answered.

”Not at the moment? So when did you break up?”

”Uh...last year, maybe?” Coniel seemed uneasy.

”Then occasionally relaxing is surely a must?” Laine laughed aloud.

”Definitely! Yes, yes, yes!” The young Yurik Champion Warrior showed interest.

”So...what kind of fun do you prefer generally?” Laine intended to continue speaking when his consciousness was filled with an angry voice: ”Laine!!! My champion, what are you talking about during a duel?! Is the arena the place to exchange such experiences?”

”I still stick to the king’s way...” Coniel wanted to say something further, but his face suddenly turned pale.

It seemed Yurik was also enraged.

”Alright, let’s exchange those thoughts later. First, let me send you down.” Laine grinned and began to get serious.

”Don’t underestimate me!” Coniel, infuriated by Laine’s words, shouted and charged at Laine.

Light blue Spiritual Energy erupted from Laine’s body, gradually infusing his Spiritual Masterwork Power Armor. He grasped the Warhammer, placing the hammerhead on the ground.

Strong, streamline muscles in his arms gathered explosive energy. Terrifying power concentrated here, while the light blue Spiritual Energy gradually activated a part of the Spiritual Power Armor.

High output, Laine silently chanted.

White Wolf Knight charged with a roar, like a flying cannonball.

The Holy Grail Knight stood firm, as if an immovable stone.

Coniel approached gradually.

Laine’s arms hung down; the Griffin Warhammer moved slowly on the ground. Then, propelled by the enormous strength of the Holy Grail Knight, it gradually rose from the lower right.

Closer, even closer, Laine could smell the wolfish odor emanating from Coniel. The White Wolf Knight’s Warhammer was falling toward Laine’s head.

In a flash of lightning, Laine moved.

The Griffin Warhammer, imbued with Thunderclap Force, surrounded by swift winds, struck sharply upward from the lower right. Proactive yet reactive, the Warhammer hit Coniel’s abdomen directly.

”Clang!”

The Company Commander of the White Wolf Knight Order’s Seventh Company unbelievably found himself lifted off the ground; his feet uncontrollably left the arena floor, foam spurted from his mouth, and he soared into the sky.

Laine put away the Warhammer, saluted the audience, and naturally returned to his position.

In the distance, Coniel landed on the ground, raising a cloud of dust, followed by his silver skull Warhammer. The Yurik Champion Warrior still wanted to say something, but he spat a jet of clear gastric fluid, then his eyes rolled back, and he fainted.

The arena fell into silence.

A full minute later, the Brittania side erupted in thunderous cheers.

”Magnificent! The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lady, Lord Laine, here, here!”

”It’s truly amazing; just one strike, only one strike! Oh heavens, Lady above!”

”Did you see that, our fellow humans across the mountains? This is the strength of Brittania!”

”Praise the Lady!”

”In the name of the Lady! Champion, Champion, Champion!”

So decisive, so effortless, the Knight Kingdom’s morale surged. Even Richard, who liked Laine the least, smiled while stroking his beard. The Great Nobles of Brittania straightened their backs, faces full of disdain.

”...Damn.” Boris rushed up, inspecting Coniel’s injuries. He knew that if Laine hadn’t held back, the hammer strike on the chest might have been fatal: ”Quickly, take him to heal.”

The escorts hurriedly carried Yurik’s Champion Warrior away.

Next, the Prince-Elector raised his head, unwillingly saying, ”Brittania is indeed formidable; we admit that today’s contest we lost. The glory belongs to you.”

”I’ve also witnessed the strength of the White Wolf Knights. With such strong allies, Brittania is equally pleased,” Richard promptly added.

The duel of knights concluded with Brittania’s victory. In the void, the Lake Fairy, full of satisfaction, smiled and departed, leaving the extremely frustrated White Wolf Yurik: ”That witch! Snatching my people, using him against me!”

”Ahhhhh, it’s driving me mad!”
