Warhammer Divine Throne

Under the dark sky, swarms of vampire bats flew across the city, leaving only devastation and bloodshed in their wake.

As the capital of the duchy, Borelion naturally housed the largest number of guards and knights. The knights had quickly responded to the vampire ambush; the bats could easily crush these infantry, but they were useless against the fully armed knights.

”Bring me my War Axe!” Theodoric looked at his domain and city being plagued by vampires, his eyes wide with anger, the Duke himself shouted to his attendant: ”I will personally go out to meet the enemy!”

The answer was a head that rolled down from the garden terrace.

A massive monster appeared on the high steps behind the garden. It stood at least four meters tall, entirely dark red, with two strong forelimbs and sharp claws, long brown mane extending to its tail, a pig face exposed with huge sharp teeth, and constantly drooling green saliva. It swiped with its claws, three guards were swept into pieces, staining the steps with blood.

It was the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf! One of the only two Legendary Tier creatures that vampires can summon!

”Ahhhh!” The screams of the noble women in the garden emerged almost simultaneously. The noble women of the Knight Kingdom did learn to ride horses and use cavalry lances from a young age, but they had never seen such a terrifying creature before?!

”Waaaah!” The Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf roared, leaping fiercely off the high tower. It crashed into the crowd like a cannonball, then charged straight at Mogiana.

The Lake God Witch immediately drew her sword. Mogiana was greatly alarmed in her heart; she had not sensed such a powerful summoning technique, indicating the opponent’s power was above hers, suggesting the foe was a Holy Sanctuary High-Tier or even near-Demigod Undead Grand Mage!

The situation was urgent. The Lake God Witch had no time to chant spells. She had just raised her rune sword when the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf’s claws swept in front of her, the air filled with the reek of burnt and nauseating stench.

Mogiana was a Divine Chosen Witch of the Holy Sanctuary, the mortal envoy of the Lake Fairy, but she did not possess the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf’s powerful arm strength, nor was she skilled in close combat. As the claws were about to touch her delicate face, the golden waistband inlaid with diamonds on her gray long gown flashed and formed a golden shield. The claws of the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf could not penetrate the shield, but Mogiana was still blasted away by the immense force contained within, crashing into a massive stone pillar, toppling it with her.

The performance was interrupted, the entire singing hall descended into chaos. The noble knights quickly reacted to the upheaval, these battle-hardened professional soldiers drew their swords to fight the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf: ”Protect Her Highness Mogiana! Protect His Grace the Duke!”

Theodoric received his War Axe from a clan knight, and the Duke himself swung the axe, carving a long gash on the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf’s right arm: ”Attendants! Cover Her Highness Mogiana and the other noble ladies and mistresses for retreat to a safe place, leave this to me!”

Mathew Bade also drew his sword, guarding in front of Miss Fiona: ”Miss Fiona, let’s quickly retreat!”

The Duke’s granddaughter was already scared senseless, her legs felt like lead, unable to move, her small face turned pale with fear, stuttering: ”But where should we escape to?”

Mathew Bade randomly pointed to a place where no black smoke rose: ”Escape over there, that’s the library, there are many guards, it should be safe!”

”Alright... alright!” Fiona, accompanied by Mathew Bade, dashed towards the library. On the way, they encountered a group of ghouls and a vampire witch, growling as they rushed towards them. Mathew Bade blocked in front of Fiona: ”Run fast! Miss Fiona, I’ll hold them off!”

”You must hold them off! Or else you’ll be in big trouble!” Fiona screamed sharply, then ran without looking back toward the direction opposite the library.

The city was in chaos everywhere, with flames and thick smoke.

Borelion Castle, after all, was the capital of the duchy, hosting a large number of knights, more knight’s squires, and an exceedingly large infantry corps. The undead, after leaving a tragic memory on this city, were finally completely vanquished by the knights. Theodoric personally took the head of the Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf, this Legendary Tier fierce beast ultimately could not escape death amidst the siege of numerous knights and the duke himself. A somewhat disheveled Mogiana used a spell to burn the bodies of the undead creatures, then instructed Theodoric that the polluted lands should be plowed with salt she had blessed. The Lake God Witch seemed deep in thought, leaving overnight.

This night came to be known as the ”Night of Blood.”

Only a very few knew, the library of Borelion Duchy, on the second day after checking, was found missing an ancient tome.

Volume IV of Nagash.

Simultaneously, Mathew Bade also vanished. Fiona didn’t see him return, nor found his remains.

......

Four in the morning, Brittania, Winford Duchy, Baron Gene’s Domain, Laine’s Baron Castle.

On the large bed in the master bedroom, the dark elf Ollica was sleeping clutched to Laine, her face flushed and a little tired, leaning on Laine’s chest, sleeping soundly.

Since Veronica arrived, Ollica and Veronica had started a shift system. The witch had been busy recruiting personnel to build her Wizard Tower recently, so naturally Ollica spent more time with Laine.
