Warhammer Divine Throne

Lorne nodded, at over forty years old, he still had no offspring.

”What, do our Knight Allies have no young men who can match even an ordinary White Wolf Knight?” Boris said roughly, as the feathers on his head swayed proudly in the air with his movements.

Boris looked provocatively at several Dukes present: Duke of Winford, Francois, Duke of Leonais, Dalheid, Duke of Connet, Lorne, the Knight King, and Duke Le Anglong, Richard.

Finally, Duke of Leonais, Dalheid, couldn’t sit still. He signaled to a young knight beside him, who then stood up resolutely: ”Aldred of Leonais, son of Duke Dalheid, representing the Lady, accepts your challenge!”

This young man had flowing brown short hair, slender black eyes, and a high nose bridge, with an unruly air at the corners of his tightly pressed lips. He was wearing a set of enchanted plate armor that shone brightly, holding a Cross Helmet, and stepped out from the crowd: ”Aldred-de-Leonais, faithful follower of the Lady, son of Dalheid!”

”Huh?” Mogiana said strangely, the Lake God Witch holding the Potion Chalice, her face displaying an inscrutable expression: ”He actually came too.”

”This knight? Is he the Duke Dalheid’s legitimate eldest son?” Laine asked curiously.

”Yes, Aldred is Dalheid’s legitimate eldest son, but Dalheid was already aged when he was born. He was unable to manage his legitimate son... Therefore, Aldred gradually grew into a drunken maniac and an arrogant egotist.” Mogiana sighed: ”Thus, Dalheid sent Aldred to the Borelion Duchy, which is at war with Estalia; he hoped the enduring environment of war and the rich artistic atmosphere there might change him, thinking through this way Aldred could receive Theodoric’s teachings, learn piety and self-discipline, and stay away from his bunch of drinking buddies.”

”It didn’t work, right?” Laine laughed.

”Yes, it didn’t work.” Mogiana’s stunningly beautiful face showed helplessness in her dark green eyes, she slightly shifted her posture, revealing the white soft boots under her long skirt: ”Sadly, Aldred immediately found a group of like-minded drinking buddies in Borelion, forming a drinking club. He used his status as the Duke’s heir to gather them together. No matter how strictly Theodoric punished them, they never changed their drinking habits... Nevertheless, Aldred’s capabilities are still commendable, it’s unsurprising he would come out to fight.”

Aldred came down from the stand and stood opposite Becker. His steps were somewhat unsteady, but his entire body burned with rich fighting spirit: ”I accept your challenge, White Wolf Knight. I won’t take advantage of you; I give you twenty minutes to rest, and then we’ll battle!”

”... As you wish!” The young White Wolf Knight, under Boris’s warning gaze, chose to rest. Seizing this opportunity, the older White Wolf Knights quickly brought out healing medicines and potions to tend to Becker’s injuries.

Aldred sneered as he looked disdainfully at the White Wolf Knight undergoing treatment. The bright red lion on his shield gleamed brightly in the sunlight, as the Kingdom Knights paced before the White Wolf Knight, the armor and chain armor clashing with a harsh sound.

Twenty minutes later, the battle resumed.

Unlike other knights, Aldred raised his shield, slowly approaching Becker, the White Wolf Knight as brave as before, charging boldly toward the Duke of Leonais’s heir and once more raising the Warhammer high.

”Come!” Aldred fiercely struck his shield with the Longsword, then suddenly ducked, lifted the shield at an angle, and took the Warhammer’s gravity with his whole body.

A heavy blow did not produce an effect, the young White Wolf Knight had to face the powerful counterforce, the Warhammer being deflected by the sturdy shield. While the White Wolf Knight retreated slightly to balance himself, Aldred swung his shield, using the rim to viciously hit the White Wolf Knight on the forehead, with such force the White Wolf Knight staggered back many steps.

”True powerful attacks come from where? From the visible Longsword? No, White Wolf Knight, true powerful attacks are from places you’d never expect, little wolf cub, today I, Aldred, will give you a lesson!” The Kingdom Knight directly deflected Becker’s Warhammer attack with a shield sweep, then again struck Becker’s forehead with the shield.

The White Wolf Knight felt dizzy, he retreated repeatedly, trying to distance himself from Aldred.

The Kingdom Knight did not give him this chance, strides closer, landing several sword attacks, the White Wolf Knight staggered left and right, in a pitiful state, the battle initiative entirely seized by Aldred.

Sitting on the stand, Laine squinted at the nearby Mogiana, saying: ”Aldred’s use of the shield is not rigid at all, he skillfully utilizes the coordination of sword and shield, gaining an advantage. The White Wolf Knight having lost the advantage in arm strength is again at a disadvantage, this round, Aldred wins.”

Mogiana snorted, the Lake God Witch still seemed somewhat displeased, her tone lacking any sign of joy: ”Sending a legendary initial tier Duke’s heir against a mere testing White Wolf Knight, even if he wins, so what?”

”That is still better than not winning.” Laine said helplessly.

In the arena, the outcome became clear, the sharp sword in Aldred’s hand akin to a lion’s fangs, tearing everything with a might in each strike forcing Becker to abandon attacking to defend, the sharp sword barely past, shield strikes followed, Becker had completely lost the initiative.

Finally, the Kingdom Knight’s iron boots kicked the White Wolf Knight’s calf, then the sharp sword narrowly brushed past Becker’s neck, Aldred spat contemptuously, retracting his sword: ”In the Lady’s name, you lost, White Wolf Knight!”

”Yes, I lost, in Yurik’s name, honor belongs to you!” Becker admitted defeat, feeling death had just passed close by, the young White Wolf Knight gasping heavily, then supported by his comrades to retreat to his side.

Boris patted Becker’s shoulder, an elite middle-tier young White Wolf Knight could entangle a legendary initial-tier Duke’s heir for so long, even Yurik wouldn’t criticize them, after all, everyone is human, there’s no need to fight to the death.

Subsequently, Aldred achieved a remarkable feat, winning consecutively against two White Wolf Knights who came forward to challenge.

”For the Lady! For Brittania!” The Kingdom Knight, not yet thirty, raised his shield.

”Yay yay yay!” Over on the Brittania side sounded waves of celebration, knights sang loudly, chanting the name of the Lake Fairy, Duke of Leonais, Dalheid received many praises, everyone lauded him for having an excellent heir.

Though Dalheid modestly, in fact, his proud expression already betrayed him, the Duke deliberately glanced at Laine who was chatting with Mogiana, Laine returned the glance with a smile.

The Empire couldn’t sit still, Boris Todbringer turned: ”Then, Coniel, it’s your turn!”

”Yes, my lord!” A young man with gray wolf’s fur on his head, a youthful appearance, even some fuzz on his lips stood up. He held a silver skull Warhammer, wore a massive wolf fur cape, and had a White Wolf Knight Badge hanging on his chest, entering the arena.

”Yurik’s Champion Warrior, Company Commander of the Seventh of the White Wolf Knight Order, Coniel Rizfield, accepts your challenge, may Yurik grant me victory!”

”In the Lady’s name, I accept your challenge!” Aldred accepted the challenge, smirked disdainfully, eyed the fuzz around Coniel’s lips, then suddenly laughed: ”Tell me, little wolf cub, how old are you this year?”

”24 years old, a Knight!”

”Good, then let’s begin!”
