Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1211: Chapter 1209: The Giant Dragon Legion Passing Through the Sky

”How would I know? Stop asking me over and over, I’ve never encountered such an enemy before.”

Regarding Gu Xi’s question, Kro, protected by numerous Undead, also had no answer.

This was truly the first time he encountered such a situation.

At first, Gu Xi and Kro thought that maybe Kro had unearthed something significant in his archaeology, thus causing such trouble.

So Kro simply changed direction.

The last two times, he didn’t even go to the Ancient Giant Dragon’s archaeological sites; Kro directly went to investigate the ruins of the Middle Ages Elves.

But such attacks kept coming relentlessly without stopping at all.

The most speechless thing for Gu Xi was that even though he had already dispatched a scout troop to clear the area nearby,

these troops would still suddenly appear around two kilometers away from the archaeological site.

It was as if they suddenly popped out of nowhere.

No one had any idea how they appeared.

Like this time, with so many battles, Gu Xi even cut down the nearby trees.

Yet, those troops still emerged as if nothing had changed.

Gu Xi was just speechless.

Luckily, only three days were left; after three days, he wouldn’t have to deal with this anymore.

While rolling his eyes in response to Kro’s answer, Gu Xi comforted himself internally.

But just at that moment, Gu Xi felt something and looked up involuntarily.

Dragon!

Giant Dragon!

Countless Giant Dragons!

A large number of various colored Giant Dragons, each about sixty meters long, were swiftly flying from east to west like dark clouds.

Initially, when Gu Xi saw these Giant Dragons, he was calculating the colors and number of these dragons.

Later, he didn’t bother thinking about it because it was simply uncountable.

In just the moment he lifted his head, tens of thousands of Giant Dragons flew past him.

And he didn’t even know how long he’d been looking up, yet the dragons hadn’t finished passing by.

At this time, Kro also noticed the situation in the sky. He climbed up to the gate tower of the Garrison Gate, approaching Gu Xi’s side.

”Brother Gu, can you handle these?”

”Are you kidding?”

Gu Xi rolled his eyes in front of Kro, ”Just a moment ago, at least a million Giant Dragons flew by; even if I deployed all my forces, it wouldn’t even be a fraction of these dragons.

How am I supposed to fight them, with my head?

They haven’t noticed us now, let’s not bother with them and just treat it as a sightseeing opportunity.

If you want to take photos, you can mark the occasion.

I think you might not witness such a scene again.”

Gu Xi replied and once again looked up at the sky.

At this time, the Giant Dragons in the sky hadn’t finished flying, and Gu Xi noticed that some of the dragons now appearing had body lengths exceeding a hundred meters.

It’s very clear that what was appearing now was the main force of the Giant Dragons.

Immediately, Gu Xi’s assessment of these Giant Dragons was further elevated.

Now, let alone provoking these dragons and engaging in battle, he didn’t even want to lift his head for fear that one might ask: ”What are you looking at?”

But in front of such a scene, Gu Xi didn’t want to miss it.

Missing this might mean not encountering so many Giant Dragons for a long time.

And just at this moment, Kro seemed to remember something.

He slapped his thigh and said loudly, ”I remember now.”

Gu Xi turned his head to look at Kro.

”What did you remember?”

”The volcano map, the map of volcanoes at the world’s edge, now I understand what’s going on.”

Kro, as if going mad, completely ignored Gu Xi’s question, shouting nonstop.

Afraid that Kro might just go crazy, Gu Xi quickly stepped forward to restrain him.

”Calm down.”

Under Gu Xi’s pressure, the frantic Kro finally calmed down.

He swallowed, sat down on the ground, looking up at the still-passing Giant Dragons, muttering something inaudible.

After Kro was completely calm, Gu Xi squatted in front of him.

”What’s going on?”

Kro swallowed again, no longer showing any of the previous madness in his eyes.

He turned his head to look in the direction where the dragons were flying.

The Golden Pillar, which supports the sky and earth, was at that location.

But no one can see the existence of the Golden Pillar.

After a long while, Kro started talking, ”When I was doing archaeology before, I saw some murals that depicted scenes like this.”

”This kind of situation appeared before?”

Gu Xi looked up at the sky. By now, the dragon passage in the sky was near its end, and following the dragon group were smaller miscellaneous dragons.

But compared to the previously large Giant Dragons, the number of these miscellaneous dragons was noticeably greater.

And they had more unpredictability; when Gu Xi looked up at the sky, some dragons even lowered their heads to glance at Gu Xi.

If it weren’t for a few Giant Dragons scolding them within the dragon group, perhaps some miscellaneous dragons might have come down to see what was going on with Gu Xi.

”Yes, I saw such a scene once in a ruin of the Ancient Hundred Races.

Then I saw it once more in a ruin of the Ancient Elf Race.

Plus, with some historical stories circulating in this world, one can somewhat figure out the situation.”

Regarding archaeology and historical research, Kro was quite confident.

Before studying archaeology, they have to learn various historical knowledge.

And Gu Xi happened to be someone who hadn’t learned it, so Kro began explaining to Gu Xi.

”You might not know, during the time of the Ancient Hundred Races, there were no Dragon Race.

And during the Middle Ages Elves’ time, the world only had records of a single Giant Dragon.

So, guess where the dragons that ruled the world in ancient times came from, and where did they go in the end?”

Though it was left for Gu Xi to guess, the hints were quite obvious.

Gu Xi thought for a moment and directly said, ”Is it the volcanoes surrounding the overseas area?”

”That’s right, the volcano map I saw during archaeology appeared three times.

The first time was in a site of the Ancient Hundred Races.

I remember clearly, it was a mural from the Ancient Giant Race, they recorded on the mural that they faced a time when dragons came from the volcano.

Finally, they fought the dragons at the Golden Pillar.

That time, the Giants repelled the dragons.

But it was also that time that made the Ancient Hundred Races even more chaotic.

If ancient events weren’t so challenging to investigate, maybe before the Ancient Hundred Races, there might have been a time when pure giants ruled the earth.

After that, I discovered a mural in another ruin, which was quite simplistic, depicting dragons suddenly appearing and, with strong forces, annihilating the Ancient Hundred Races to occupy the entire world.

This mural was drawn by those who escaped.

The last one isn’t a mural, but an Elf Race decoration, which depicted the Elves driving back the dragons that occupied this world.

When the dragons were about to be defeated, another batch of dragons replenished from the volcano area.

But they were also defeated by the Elves.

However, after excavating so many Elf tombs, I discovered that the Elves really didn’t have such powerful strength.

So I always felt there was something fishy going on.”
