Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1208: Chapter 1206: Preparation Before Departure

At the foot of Poisonous Peach Mountain, Kro curled himself up tightly, sitting outside the yellow-green poisonous miasma, watching a troop of Undead Corps led by several Skeleton Heroes with Poison Attributes returning.

Seeing the way those undead returned carrying corpses, Kro couldn’t help but marvel at Gu Xi’s impressive power.

Evidently, this city had been built right before his eyes.

It had not even been three days since its construction.

And yet, the city’s military was already so strong.

With this one battle, the enemy forces of over five thousand from fifty miles away were wiped out immediately.

No wonder Gu Xi could be so confident; he truly had the strength.

Just as Kro was musing to himself, a large gate appeared near the poisonous fog.

Gu Xi came out from Yalidov City, carrying some things.

Seeing Kro still lingering at the mountain’s foot, Gu Xi spoke with apologies, ”Kro, my brother, my preparations are almost complete here. Once I’ve handed over some matters, we can go on our archaeological expedition together.”

”Ah, no, I’m not in a hurry.”

Listening to Gu Xi’s words, Kro waved his hands repeatedly.

He truly wasn’t in a hurry; he just wanted to find a relatively safe place to hide for a while.

At this time, another army of undead carried some items inside from outside.

Like the Undead Corps on Yalidov City’s side, this group’s battlefield sweeping style was also to dig up the dirt along with everything else.

However, they had no intention of sending the soil back to Yalidov City.

The Poisonous Peach Mountain itself needed a large amount of soil.

Thus, Gu Xi and Kro watched the undead bring soil stained with fresh blood and dump it at the mountain’s foot.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi noticed that as the soil was poured, the poisonous miasma from the mountain began spreading outward along with the blood-tainted earth.

This seemed to be how Poisonous Peach Mountain expanded.

Seeing this, Kro hurriedly dodged to the side.

To avoid getting the toxic miasma on himself.

In his quick move, he happened to bump into a nearby undead transporting corpses.

At this moment, Kro intended to say a few words of apology, but upon seeing the corpse, he burst into laughter.

Gu Xi was somewhat curious, he peered over and saw it was Princess Kexia being transported this time.

Now, she was not the arrogant figure she had been at the Black Market auction; half of her head was missing.

It was clear she had died swiftly in this battle.

Alongside Princess Kexia, there was a black-haired male corpse.

Though dead, this man’s condition was initially similar to Princess Kexia’s; his white skin gave an impression of a black aura from within.

His attire was of the same style as Kexia’s, even more extravagant than hers.

With Gu Xi’s keen eye, it was clear this corpse had been dead for a while; even with undead spells for preservation, the body showed some signs of decay.

The corpse’s internal organs were rotting, and Gu Xi could smell the stench from a distance.

This man clearly should have been the brother of Princess Kexia, the first heir of the Black Stone Tower Kingdom.

Not only was he dead now, but even his body had been brought here.

His hopes of resurrecting to reclaim his throne seemed impossible.

After thinking for a bit, Gu Xi commanded the undead carrying the bodies.

”Take their corpses to the altar at the mountain’s foot; I’ll perform a Summoning as a final contribution to Poisonous Peach Mountain before leaving.”

With Gu Xi’s command, the undead took the two bodies to the place where Gu Xi previously summoned Poison Bone.

However, unlike last time, where there were ten Beastman bodies lined up, only these two bodies were brought this time.

Turning to Kro with a few words, Gu Xi quickly made his way over.

Gu Xi wasn’t overthinking at that moment; the phantom of the White Bone Obelisk appeared on him, granting him a blessing. Then, blessed, he proceeded to successfully summon the two corpses.

Princess Kexia’s body, with half a brain missing, counted as an incomplete corpse, immediately transforming into a peculiar Ghost.

What was peculiar was entirely due to Princess Kexia’s skin condition.

Though this Ghost appeared pearl white upon floating up, for some reason, there was a hint of black intertwined within the white.

After becoming a Ghost, Princess Kexia’s face held somewhat animated expressions.

Gu Xi didn’t bother asking if Princess Kexia had any unique traits left behind; he turned to observe Princess Kexia’s brother’s situation.

Unlike Kexia’s case, to resurrect this mystery man’s death, Kexia had meticulously preserved the body, maintaining its integrity.

Thus, upon summoning, this man turned into a Zombie.

In contrast to Kexia’s pearl white skin with a black inner essence, the Zombie’s skin was directly blue-white, yet appeared pitch black.

His body didn’t appear particularly robust, seeming unlike a proper Zombie.

After these two rose, Gu Xi waved a hand toward the sky.

Silia appeared before Gu Xi immediately.

”These two have some intelligence; see if there’s any work suitable for them.”

Silia said nothing more; with Poisonous Peach Mountain just starting out, manpower was needed everywhere.

Someone for whom Gu Xi made a special Summoning must be no ordinary person, Silia naturally wouldn’t let them slip by.

Even if Gu Xi hadn’t specifically mentioned it, he would find a place for these two.

Not to mention Gu Xi had gone out of his way to emphasize it.

Thereafter, Gu Xi elaborated on what Luna had mentioned to Silia, determining the future development direction for Ghost Peach Mountain.

Seeing Silia record everything down, Gu Xi finally said, ”The future development of Poisonous Peach Mountain is in your hands. In the coming year, I won’t intervene here.

But you must ensure that a year from now, when I ask for armies or resources, you deliver results.”

Silia nodded and agreed to this task.

Seeing that everything had been entrusted, Gu Xi didn’t linger any longer.

He quickly descended the mountain, intending to call upon Kro to leave together.

But as he descended, he found Kro there studying the batch of delivered corpses.

Upon seeing Gu Xi, Kro even looked up and said.

”These bodies are remnants of the Ancient Hundred Races; I don’t know where they were found. There are many here that I’ve only seen in history.”
