Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

”Hey, are you sure you want to run away with this group of strange AIs? I have a bad feeling about this!”

”What do you mean?”

Ahong watched the back of that crazy girl, the calculation program in his eyes activating.

”Her tattoos are ’Trojan Virus’, her nails are ’Address Attacker’, her eyeballs are ’Key Generator’, and her hair is ’Embedded Code’. That’s just what I can see. I’ve never seen an AI implanted with so many viruses, it’s simply, simply unbelievable!”

As an old hand in the hacker world, it was Ahong’s first time encountering such a bizarre wild AI. The strangest part was, even though the code flow on her body was wild, it was very clean, indicating that despite having so many viruses installed, this crazy girl herself wasn’t contaminated by them.

The girl Ginx suddenly turned around, her red pupils locking onto Ahong.

Ahong suddenly felt his heartbeat skip a beat.

This was the feeling of the calculation program being interrupted.

’Damn, this AI has the ability to control network viruses!’

”I want to kill you!”

The girl Ginx let out a strange laugh, her steps shifting, and her nails turned black. In an instant, Ahong felt his IP being locked, so quickly that he didn’t even have a chance to open a ’proxy server’.

Meanwhile, in reality, the gaming chamber lit up with a sudden burst of red light, a sign of a severe alert.

According to the agreement between Ahong and Aidolu, if a situation of extreme danger arose, Aidolu was supposed to help them ’pull the plug’.

While it would cause some damage to the neural system, at least their lives could be saved.

However, just as Aidolu ran to the open chamber button, the red light suddenly vanished.

”Eh?”

Aidolu tilted her head, her upper body phasing through the gaming chamber, landing in front of Ahong, discovering that Ahong’s breathing was normal, and the eyeballs beneath his eyelids were moving rhythmically.

”Is it all okay now?”

And within the cyber space.

Ginx grabbed Ahong’s neck, lifting him up, with the ’Address Attacker’ on her nails continuously tearing the sensory data, causing countless IP addresses to suddenly emerge on Ahong’s surface, lines of numbers constantly flashing, seemingly aiming to accurately pinpoint his real-world location, then invade his brain.

This type of ’virtual invasion’ was typically a signature move of cyber hackers.

However, the opponent’s ’virus invasion’ was even more formidable.

Luckily, Ahong was indeed ’inherited’, his neuron signals automatically rearranging into lines of code, completing data reorganization at the last moment before the IP address was determined. As the network ID was exposed, the host ID reconfigured a new Ahong, ejecting out.

The old shell was torn apart, the remaining code exploding in Ginx’s hand like firecrackers.

”You’re all finished, when Sister G goes crazy, she eats viruses for breakfast!” mocked an AI over three meters tall.

Just as the crazy girl was about to strike again, Gao Gong blocked in front of Ahong, the Rich Lady Love Prototype releasing all its charm, with an innocent smile revealing two rows of small, white teeth, with a boy’s unique, pure, animal-like eyes looking expectantly at the opponent.

Ginx’s grip on his neck loosened, switching from grasping to pinching, and the red glow in her eyes began to rapidly fade, her pupils shifting from red to purple.

The girl let out a strange laugh and suddenly bit towards the opponent.

”Damn it!!”

Ahong watched as the girl opened her mouth wide, with a steel ball embedded in the center of her tongue, that being the latest model of the worm virus.

’It’s a shame if this guy dies just like that!’

Although with this guy’s death, he’d be free, thinking about the opponent’s unparalleled beauty, Ahong felt somewhat reluctant.

The girl viciously bit Gao Gong’s tender neck, a series of embedded viruses appearing on his neck, finally transforming into a pink tattoo.

Ginx’s belonging, no outsiders allowed.

The girl laughed heartily: ”I’ve branded you, from now on you’re my pet!!”

In this moment of delay, the enormous tentacle was nearly upon them, with thousands of ’suckers’ lighting up, and in the next moment, a violent suction swept around.

Numerous mechanical parts were sucked into the sky, landing on the mechanical suckers, disintegrating into countless codes, being absorbed.

”Sister G!” exclaimed the large AI.

The crazy girl’s pupils turned red once more, her two pale legs exerting force, leaping ten meters into the air, landing on a mining machine, then leaping onto an excavator, her teeth turning pink, a sign of the ’backdoor virus’ activating, fiercely biting into her arm, with much more force than she had used on Gao Gong.

Soon, both arms were gnawed into a bloody mess, and the spilled blood transformed into a Six-Barreled Vulcan Cannon.

The girl, while laughing madly, lifted the Vulcan Cannon.

Countless viruses turned into bullets, sweeping away.

The surface of the mechanical tentacles once more exploded into countless garbled codes.

”It’s still not enough, not enough, try this!”

The crazy girl opened her mouth to an exaggerated degree, with lava-like red codes writhing deep in her throat.

These codes wouldn’t fit even in one database, let alone ten.

At the same time, behind her, a massive amount of data flowed out, websites, images, news, maps, music...

Vast amounts of data began to blend together, rapidly transforming into virus bombs, with pink ’shark bombs’ blazing fiery trails, descending onto the mechanical tentacles like a meteor shower.

It was as if the scene had replayed itself.

Gao Gong squinted, now understanding what was behind this strange AI that resembled Gao Yuanyuan so much.

Someone had transformed her.

And her Transformer was none other than one of the data conceptual bodies, the search engine of the Mother City Deep Net, the entire cyber space’s search engine.

Future players speak of Miss Cyberpedia, Eliza!

Amidst the dense sound of explosions, an entire mechanical tentacle was blasted in half, the rupture resembling a volcanic eruption, with countless codes gushing out.

Above the firmament, the codes melted into a torrential rain, pouring down.

Countless heavy objects plummeted to the ground, and the girl bearing a pink Fire God Cannon laughed heartily in the downpour. Her remaining patches of bare skin seemed to sprout a couple more tattoos under the drench of the rain.

’Google is really good to her, not only lending her the abilities of a ”Web Crawler,” but it seems it’s also taught her the skills of data decomposition. No wonder she can implant network viruses. Did she decompose and reassemble the virus data?’

Gao Gong felt a stir in his heart; he was certain that this crazy girl was related to Gao Yuanyuan.

So, it’s impossible for her body to be a wild AI, much less an offshoot of a search engine.

In other words, Miss Cyberpedia didn’t create her but enhanced her.

Then what does she possess that could attract the attention of that Big Data Monster, even making it feel close to her?

Four words flashed through Gao Gong’s mind instantly!

Network Bionics!

The search engine’s ability to connect all things and Network Bionics’ skill to mimic everything obviously complement each other.

They are like mother and daughter.

Coincidentally, among all the ’Big Data Monsters,’ Miss Cyberpedia is relatively approachable.

This trip to Virus City was indeed the right move!

However, the Mechanical Mother shouldn’t be so easily taken down, right?

Gao Gong looked up; amidst the code rain, massive clouds began to converge. Using the ’Data Brain,’ Gao Gong saw numerous dangerous codes reorganizing.

”We have company!” Ahong’s expression suddenly changed.

”It’s not just Cyber Hackers; even the Cyber Space security guards and assassins have been dispatched.”

Black Wing Killer, Red Wing Killer, Silver Wing Killer — these assassins’ codes differ from viruses and AIs as they are directly decomposed from the Cyber Space’s underlying code, inherently possessing Cyber Space attributes.

In other words, as long as Cyber Space exists, they are immortal.

”Sister G, the search bridge is built!”

Sister G is no fool and naturally wouldn’t confront these immortal entities head-on. She immediately tossed her machine gun and ran away, not forgetting to grab Gao Gong, her ’pet,’ on the way out.

”Damn.”

Ahong was momentarily stunned, looking at the gloomy clouds and then at the wild AIs sprinting nearby.

”Wait for me!”

In the next moment, one gigantic mechanical tentacle after another reached down from the clouds, no less than ten tentacles in total, clearing away viruses and codes alike wherever they passed.

...

Ten minutes later

The entire Virus City was thoroughly cleared.

Men and women wearing sunglasses filled the ground.

Among them, a woman in a red outfit and sunglasses held the pink machine gun that Ginx had discarded and, with a light squeeze, reduced it to code fragments like glass shards.

”Detected Deep Net Project No. 5, ’Eliza’ trace, requesting pursuit.”

...

In reality, at Mother City Ocean Base No. 14, within a gigantic control room, a group of Neural Editors sat before the command console, with countless signals flashing across the surface of the implantation chamber.

”Data redundancy cleaned up, Mechanical Mother undergoing biogenic installation.”

An elderly General, with grey hair, glanced at his watch and grumbled, ”Why is it ten minutes slower than expected?”

”A few data loopholes suddenly appeared, but rest assured, Patriarch, they’ve already been fixed.”

”Begin now; this is likely the last bid before the World Corporate War, so everything must be fail-safe.”

”Understood, commencing immediately!”

On the electronic screen, the ocean started to churn, waves rolling out, and beneath the surface, a spherical shadow emerged.

A mechanical sphere with a diameter of 10km, propelled by anti-gravity engines, split the sea, floating in mid-air, as rain poured down like a curtain.

In the expectant eyes of everyone, a significant amount of black biological fluid appeared on the sphere’s surface, gradually forming into gigantic tentacles.

One, two, ten, a hundred…

The Bio-Fusion type Mechanical Mother was born!
