Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Generally speaking, large-scale Artificial Intelligence can be divided into two types, industrial side and virtual side. The former is straightforward, like the Matrix from The Matrix, the Heaven Net from Terminator, and the three Mother Cities from Mechanical Split Star.

This type of Artificial Intelligence can mass-produce destructive machines, drowning everything with the Sea of Machines Tactic, typically, as long as I can draw blood, I can kill you.

However, this type of industrial AI has two flaws. One is that its ability to counter virtual technology is not great, for instance, the Matrix was almost replaced by its own antivirus software, and two, the main body is too large and easily blown up, such as Heaven Net perishing together with a Terminator carrying explosives.

As for large-scale virtual AI, a typical example is Gao Gong’s previous life, directly creating a virtual realm that can iterate constantly, almost self-reliant except for the host being exposed in reality.

Especially after complete virtualization, mature fixed stars become ’computer power supplies’, electron clouds covering the star system become ’graphics cards’, the cosmic magnetic field becomes the ’central processor’, and dark matter becomes the ’hard drive’.

The master of the virtual realm, as long as they don’t want to, you won’t even know of its existence.

Back then, Gao Gong’s Fantasy Land was once hailed as one of the top ten mysterious places in the universe.

But the flaw with this type of virtual realm lies in its combat capability, which is not impressive. Although Gao Gong later chose to compensate with the Maid Corps, the ’Maid Corps’ doesn’t rely solely on virtual technology.

Moreover, once any part of such a virtual realm is damaged, it can easily trigger a ’chain reaction’.

’Machine Will’ belongs to the former. It is akin to an agriculturized version of ’Heaven Net’ or ’Matrix’, not as dangerous, with each Mechanical Civilization having numerous ’Machine Wills’, responsible for the mechanical production of billions of planets.

So in the universe, ’Machine Will’ is also known as ’Production Will’, a crucial element for Mechanical Civilizations to dominate the universe through manufacturing.

As for converting living humans into ’AI’, this is not uncommon. Iron Hide is a form of basic AI, and a Bionic Man can also be considered a type of Artificial Intelligence, albeit with human thought. Sister Rose is of this type.

There is also a task-oriented form of Artificial Intelligence, like Miyamoto Sanzang’s AI apprentice, now the assassin trainer Sasaki Nijiro.

However, these are all personalized transformations. In this Cyber Test Field, as long as the technology is in place, the difficulty is not that great.

Yet what Gao Gong intends to do is convert Director Du into a large-scale AI.

The difference between a large-scale AI and a normal ai is akin to that between an Alliance Leader and ordinary players.

To be more illustrative, it’s like the Matrix and an octopus robot it controls, or Heaven Net and a rebelling t800.

Transforming into a large-scale AI means not just transforming a person, but an entire industrial system.

At this moment, Gao Gong appears in Base No. 1, wearing a safety helmet, and starts readjusting various pipelines, akin to adjusting a person’s blood vessels.

Meanwhile, in Base No. 2, the location of most of the Alliance’s ’signature buildings’, Gao Gong begins installing the ’Industrial Wisdom Network’, akin to installing a brain.

This ’Industrial Wisdom Network’ is somewhat like an upgraded version of a ’digital city’, only far more complex, encompassing environmental parameters, energy system metrics, production system operations, and various technology development data. For this, Gao Gong specially bought over a dozen Advanced AIs without personality chips through the channel of the Security Corps to solve the computational power problem.

Later, in Flame Pass, he begins using the spaceship intelligence as the heart to manage the entire ’Internet of Things’.

The ’Internet of Things’ formed by the three bases, after Gao Gong’s manipulations, seemingly becomes a bodily structure, with factories as the body, various pipelines becoming blood vessels, the ’Internet of Things’ forming the neural system, and tens of thousands of sensors, scanners, monitors becoming the sensory system.

The entire ’Cable Oasis’ seems to become one massive body.

And this body requires a main consciousness, a personality chip.

”Consultant, we’ve finished what you requested.” A hacker from the Security Corps said coldly on the virtual screen.

”Thank you.”

”It’s nothing, although the workload is indeed quite large, this algorithm is very interesting and enlightening to us.”

’Mechanical Divinity’ is actually a kind of algorithm, only this algorithm is compiled through neural signals and sensory data.

This algorithm doesn’t work on computer systems, but on the human brain system.

Mechanical Divinity: This algorithm can effectively disperse human brain commands into hundreds or thousands of parts, inputting them into different systems, significantly reducing the consumption of human brain neurotransmitters.

The algorithm is loaded into the ’Helmet Implantation Chamber’, which can be directly downloaded into the brain through the cerebral cortex.

What Gao Gong intends to do is, during the downloading, perform neural transformation surgery on Director Du, allowing Director Du’s human brain to adapt to the new ’operation mode’, integrating human, algorithm, and system into one.

If the experiment succeeds, Director Du will transform into ’Machine Will’, controlling everything within the system.

If the transformation is successful, the workload of Director Du alone can equal that of a thousand people, directly outworking all rivals.

For a workaholic like Director Du, this is the most suitable transformation.

”Do you swear you won’t put anything else in me?”

”I swear!”

”Do you swear you won’t tamper with my personality?”

”Only a Cyber Hacker can tamper with someone else’s personality, I am merely a Prosthetic Doctor.”

Although installing a hidden personality in Director Du, like a masochist or something, sounds quite fun, unfortunately, such personality programming can only be done by an advanced Cyber Hacker.

Too bad!

After confirming Gao Gong wouldn’t mess around, Director Du, clad in surgical attire, slowly lay down.

Interestingly, a super genius possessing three ’talent templates’, yet extremely resistant to bodily modifications, if it weren’t for ’Machine Will’ not involving any body hardware, Director Du might have refused.

”Let’s begin.”

Director Du lay down straightforwardly, even refusing anesthesia, since it would affect perception and to some extent interfere with ’Mechanical Divinity’s modification.

Although this impact is negligible.

Gao Gong nodded, focusing intensely, even injecting himself with a dose of Spiritual Enhancer.

In the following moment, six mechanical arms descended upon Director Du’s head.

As the algorithm from the ’Helmet Implantation Chamber’ was injected, a vast amount of sensory data was directly poured into the brain, and Director Du clenched her hands tightly, even to the point of drawing blood.

Thirty seconds later, Director Du’s skull was dismantled, divided into dozens of parts, with each part covered with an abundance of neural networks.

Gao Gong’s expression was focused, the surgical knife like a skillful butcher, with the ’Eye of Truth’ directly seeing the changes in neural signals, enabling neural system adjustments accordingly.

At the same time, signal lights lit up in Base No. 1, Base No. 2, and Base No. 3, as if a body frozen for seemingly endless years gradually restored biological signals.

And Director Du seemed to have a dream, a very long dream.
