Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

The introduction above has no time limit, but Gao Gong glanced at the reactor with energy dropped to 50% and pondered that if it were a normal transformation, the duration should be between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the enemy.

He glanced at the massive figure similar to the ’Hulk’ and sighed.

”Too bad there’s no underwear.”

Ten minutes later, Gao Gong returned to human form, changed into a new set of clothes, and walked out of the spaceship core with the ’Environmental Simulator’ in hand.

In the garden, Valkyrie was happily playing with her Valkyries, while a dozen little girls coldly chased after her, looking like they were about to eat her rather than play.

Seeing Gao Gong, Valkyrie’s eyes lit up, and she proactively flew over and sat on his shoulder.

Gao Gong looked at the little girls. In just a few days, they had grown from one year old to about three years old. Although their defects hadn’t healed, their complexion had improved significantly.

Now they could move for about 10 minutes a day.

This was the benefit brought by the Crimson bloodline.

’Unfortunately, genetic defects remain genetic defects. As they age, these defects will only worsen.’

A Martial God Corps with an all-space-system talent is something Gao Gong could never abandon.

However, only after he reaches level 20 as a ’Biologist’ could he look for a solution.

”Let’s go, find your Aunt Du.”

Gao Gong led the way with Valkyrie, while the little girls silently followed behind, looking like adorable puppets.

In the Flame Pass laboratory, Gao Gong found Director Du.

Director Du looked at the ’Environmental Simulator’ in Gao Gong’s hand and grumbled, ”It’s broken again. Didn’t I tell you to use it carefully? These old materials are hard to find, and only Old C has some left.”

”It won’t happen again, it won’t happen again.”

After complaining, Director Du habitually took the ’Environmental Simulator’ and then squeezed a reluctant smile at Valkyrie.

Although no longer having the ’Aunt Xue’s face’, she still didn’t like this ’illegitimate daughter’ of Gao Gong.

Valkyrie was playing by herself. In her mind, apart from Gao Gong being her peer, ’Valkyrie’ was her playmate, and everyone else was food. What’s there to say to food?

Gao Gong sighed. It seemed the relationship between these two couldn’t be improved. He was planning to leave Valkyrie in her care after he left.

Might as well leave her to the Little Woman.

At this time, Professor Han pushed aside the curtain and came out, handing a thick stack of documents to Gao Gong.

”The documents on the ’God’ have been consolidated.”

[Genetic Fusion*2]

Gao Gong flipped through it briefly and received a system prompt.

”However, I’m afraid I can’t do anything about the genetic fragments.”

”Why?” Gao Gong asked, ”Can’t you bio-mimic them?”

Professor Han shook his head.

”While ordinary people have 12 genetic chains, this ’God’ has only one, but it’s a genetic network connecting all its cells. Cutting a part of it would cause the special abilities in the other parts to vanish.”

”Unless you replicate a complete ’God’, it’s almost impossible to replicate its abilities.”

Gao Gong nodded thoughtfully; if it were that easy, the Holy Brain Group wouldn’t have left the ’God’ to lay eggs itself.

”So, the ’God’ is useless?”

”Yes.”

Gao Gong tapped on Valkyrie, and Valkyrie looked backward, letting out a few cries.

The coldly indifferent little girls suddenly showed a trace of excitement in their eyes as they stepped into the laboratory.

Soon, chewing noises came from inside.

[Task completed, experience +100000, Land of Flames reputation +5000, title: Godslayer (Pseudo)]

Godslayer (Pseudo): Any artificial divine creature will feel a trace of fear in your presence.

[Task rewards: Mechanical Puzzle Fragment (1/5)*1, Civilization Secrets*1, Low-level Genetic Transformation Barracks*1]

’Low-level Genetic Transformation Barracks’ is a large blueprint. Generally, such large blueprints can’t be unlocked with ’Professional Knowledge,’ requiring the merging of ’Professional Knowledge Chains.’

Gao Gong planned to hand it to Director Du to see if there was any room for improvement.

If it could produce Flame Boys without human blood, that would be quite decent; after all, you can never have too many cannon fodder.

Soon, each little girl came out, blood staining their mouths.

After eating the ’God,’ their bodily defects showed significant improvement.

”These people are—”

”Immature ’Genetic Fusions,’ the Holy Brain Group calls them ’Godslayers.’

Professor Han showed an expression of interest, ”Interesting, let me study that.”

At night

Gao Gong opened his eyes, tucked Director Du’s smooth shoulder under the quilt, quietly got out of bed, walked to the balcony, and opened the system interface, clicking on ’Civilization Secrets.’

The next moment, his consciousness seemed to be drawn away, from the earth to the atmosphere in an instant, skipping over the clean, white atmosphere and landing inside a spaceship designed for exploration.

Then, Gao Gong saw a familiar scene, but here in the ’spaceship core’ were ten Imperial soldiers, each at their station.

The biggest commonality among these Imperial soldiers is that their abdomens were fitted with an ’Embedded Energy Engine.’ These engines are products of the Level 6 Mechanical Blueprint, not only serving as ’reactors’ but also as auxiliary power systems when piloting mechas.

However, these ’engines’ aren’t as compact as the carbon atom reactors, making the exoskeletons of these Imperial soldiers resemble ordinary people’s exoskeletons. They looked broadly built, each at least 2.5 meters tall.
