Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

”So this is the Flame Pass.”

Fat Xiang looked up and scratched his crotch subconsciously as he stared at the outlet on the mechanical dam.

”Mom, I want to pee.”

”Hold it in.”

”Oh.”

Fat Xiang sighed, lifting the mutant seal that had slipped to his waist onto his shoulder with his left hand.

Mom said he’s an adult now and should understand social interactions, so he carried this prey along.

He heard that this thing could strengthen the kidneys, and Brother Gao could really use that. He heard he could only last for 10 hours, which is too little; he can play with the virtual machine for up to 20 hours.

”Fat Xiang, wait, help me carry my stuff too.”

Aunt Xiang glanced back, saw it was the Little Woman, and looked away.

”What, have your eyes on her? Want her to be your daughter-in-law?” an Old Hunter quipped.

”Too much of a size difference,” Aunt Xiang rolled her eyes.

Mongo was loaded with packages, Fat Xiang was loaded with packages, and Aunt Xiang couldn’t help but complain, ”Can’t you just put the stuff in the car instead of carrying it?”

The Little Woman pouted, ”I would love to, but he has to agree to put it there too.”

Not far away, a sleek black sports car was flaunting its performance, going from 0 to 500km/h in just 5 seconds, bulletproof and radar-proof, with three types of acceleration gear. It was said to be the latest model, ’Black Cheetah’, from Nightless City.

”I thought the kid would pick a big armored car for his upgrade. Wasn’t he delivering orders before?”

Old Jinya rubbed his chin. With his naturally sociable personality, he successfully blended in.

”The old man delivered for the gang, not a real truck driver.”

The black sports car suddenly emitted Iron Hide’s voice, and with his voice, the car began to undergo a massive transformation. Countless parts split and reassembled, eventually forming a three-meter-tall ’Autobot’.

The ’Autobot’ was strutting its stuff.

”How about it, check out my new body, what do you think!”

”Art.”

”Mechanical art!”

”Truly art!”

On the mechanical dam, Old C, Old D, and Old E were talking to themselves. Among them, Old C and Old D were staring at Iron Hide, while only Old E was looking at Aunt Xiang with infatuation.

”A face like a rose, a petite figure, beautiful, so beautiful!”

Old C and Old D simultaneously looked at her with surprise.

”You—what’s going on?”

”I think I’m in love!”

More and more people were arriving at the Flame Pass. Many familiar faces hadn’t been seen for a long time, so naturally, there was a lot of catching up to do, and new faces were engaging in various formalities.

”Hello, hello, I’m Zhao Tong, currently the general manager of Base No. 1.”

”Nijiro, smile, why do you have no expression at all? Are you alive?”

”Assassins shouldn’t have expressions, and I’m not alive, I’m an AI.”

”Fat Xiang, why are you coming only now? My knife is broken. If you had been there, ’Red Cherry Blossom’ definitely wouldn’t have broken!”

Looking at the Japanese-style girl clinging to Fat Xiang’s thigh, Aunt Xiang crossed her arms, frowning.

This little girl had no chest, no butt, and was short; she didn’t seem like a match for my Fat Xiang at all.

”Doesn’t this little girl dislike men?”

”She’s just a young girl, who can say for sure?”

Old Xu poked Aunt Xiang’s waist, ”You should worry about yourself.”

”Me?”

Aunt Xiang looked up to see an old man eagerly leaning over, eyes shining.

”You, you, you, what are you doing!?”

...

”Is everyone here?”

In the Celestial Hall, Gao Gong looked at the crowd on the virtual screen, talking to himself.

”Weren’t they all called by you? Alright, it’s fixed.”

Watching the ’Environmental Simulator’ light up again, Director Du nodded in satisfaction, spinning the screwdriver skillfully in his hand before embedding the simulator into the wall.

Gao Gong thought for a moment, then said, ”I’m planning to make one last adjustment to the alliance before I leave.”

Looking at the number of people on the alliance panel, with more Genetic Slaves being liberated and the remnants of the Flame Motorcycle Faction, the ’Mechanical Hunters’ had instantly surpassed ten thousand, and the numbers kept rising.

He didn’t want to return to find the ’Mechanical Hunters’ assimilated into the environment, turned into a foolish native force.

According to his plan, the entire force would be divided into three parts. The first would be the factory system, where he intended to establish a ’Manufacturing Committee’. All proposals must be approved by the committee before implementation, and naturally, Director Du should be the Chairman of the committee, who holds veto power.

The other part is the ’Military System’. This section, Gao Gong prepared to divide into three tiers: Tier 1 for Mechanical Hunters below level 10, Tier 2 for those below level 20, and Tier 3 for those below level 30.

These three tiers are Hunter Level, Wild Hunt Level, and Blood Hunter Level.

Among them, the higher the tier, the better the welfare benefits, and only the third tier, Blood Hunter Level, can participate in the ’Hunter Conference’ to receive some unique transformations.

That’s right, this is exactly the system Gao Gong came up with, modeled after the Knight Order.

As for the management of the ’Military System,’ Gao Gong decided on a rotating duty, three people each time. Although Gao Gong doesn’t think his subordinates would betray him, the most responsible attitude towards subordinates is to not give them the opportunity to betray.

As for the remaining administrative system, Gao Gong decided to let the Little Woman handle it.

”You really do trust her,” Director Du said somewhat sourly. Since using second-hand goods, the once proud Director Du has become more clingy and occasionally throws a little tantrum.

Gao Gong laughed and said, ”It’s not that I trust the Little Woman, to be precise, I trust Gaia more.”

With the Planet Main Brain sealed off, Gaia couldn’t advance to Level 60 and transform into the Planet Will. It only has two options: one is to enter the ocean and become the Mother of Marine Life, which also means that it would oppose the Mother City in future ’Beast Mechanical Disasters,’ which is not the result Gao Gong wants.

The other option is to take a circuitous approach. Besides the Mechanical City, there are also colonial territories spread across the pan-continent. Many of these colonies are experimental paradises for companies, which is the way Gao Gong has thought of for Gaia.

This route is actually the ’liberation route.’ Though there will inevitably be clashes with the Mother City in the future, it won’t fall into the Dark Camp.

And Flame Pass, even the Land of Flames, is the first step.

Start by saving all the Genetic Slaves in the Land of Flames.

Gao Gong stood up and smiled, saying, ”Let’s go, let’s meet with my old friend.”

...

Land of Flames, Morgue

Business at the black market hasn’t been good lately. The main reason is that the Flame Motorcycle Faction, a big-time seller of people, announced a new policy, granting amnesty to all Genetic Slaves and giving them civilian status.

Although this policy is limited to the Flame Pass area, it has caused a ripple effect.

That is, a large number of slaves have begun to flee to Flame Pass, as if arriving there would be reaching Heaven.

Though the indigenous warlords usually don’t care about the lives and deaths of the slaves, after all, slaves are the foundation of their rule. The slave-catching teams were deployed heavily and severely punished several batches of escapees, barely curbing the trend.

But the warlord leaders feel uneasy, as if a massive storm is brewing.

Due to this, business at the morgue has been quite poor lately.

A dirty-looking boy carefully avoided the big shots and arrived at the junkyard.

”Sister Ye Zi, have you heard, the Flame Pass announced an emancipation policy!”

Sister Ye Zi was the Genetic Girl who brought Tamil and the others.

Slaves don’t have names, only nicknames, and this Genetic Girl’s nickname is Ye Zi.

”Are you sure, Caterpillar? Weren’t those white-skins from the Motorcycle Faction the ones who were the hardest on us?” Another slave boy asked.

”That was before. I heard that those white-skins are now like us, just ordinary people. They no longer have the right to collect blood tax. If they bully me, we can report them to those big guys at any time, and they’ll hit the mark every time!”

Clearly, many people didn’t believe what Caterpillar said.

”If you don’t believe me, go see for yourselves, the heads at Flame Pass are all gone!”

The words suddenly woke Ye Zi up, and she knew whom to seek help from.

...

The bald fat man has been quite irritable lately, though his nickname is ’Butcher,’ he’s not really a butcher.

Most country folks can’t make it in the Mechanical City, and vice versa, not every citizen of the Mechanical City can adapt to the outside.

Every place has its own style. The rules of the Radiation Zone are to be frenzied, fierce, and simultaneously cautious.

Butcher now deeply regrets it. He initially thought these two were just subordinates of some newcomer. After all, in the Land of Flames, when a Genetic Slave awakens to a powerful superpower, they can immediately pull together a group.

This kind of thing is quite common.

Besides slaves, it’s mostly temporary employees of some big company.

When assigned here, aren’t they temporary employees?

But who would have thought the other side would be so powerful, even taking down ’God’ so easily.

It’s known that with ’God’s arrogant character, his personal strength must be terrifying to act so tyrannically here.

That’s why he decided to run away!

”Hurry up, hurry up, throw away some small scraps.”

”Boss Butcher, what about this prisoner? Should we deal with him?”

A subordinate looked at the blood-stained Tamil. Under Butcher’s hand, it wasn’t a vacation. In just a few days, he was left with only a breath.

But this guy is indeed a tough one, not making a sound no matter how tortured.

Butcher hesitated and said, ”Bring him along, he might be useful.”

Butcher decided to lay low for a few months, see how things develop, and then decide whether to make a comeback. After all, he’s made enough here; even if he returns to Nightless City, he can still live a middle-class life.

No need to be so desperate.

”Okay, boss, how do we leave?”

Butcher decided to be even more cautious, gritting his teeth.

”Give each brother an extra ten thousand Mechanical Coins, and we’ll split up.”

At this moment, in the sky, a Level 8 Flying Device had entered invisibility mode, silently hovering above the black market.
