Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 188: Chapter 167: Synthetic Bloodline

One of the main reasons Gao Gong stayed on the Sky Mother Ship for over half a month was because of this newly forged Human-headed Leopard.

To be precise, he wanted to verify the possibility of his own transformation through the transformation of this Human-headed Leopard.

And with Gao Gong’s words, Gilbert, the Human-headed Leopard, suddenly flipped up. Its two arms began to retract into the abdomen, and the ’Distributed Shipborne Engine’ entered the abdomen, merging into the main engine.

At the same time, the Human-headed Leopard’s head hung down to its chest, the leopard’s mouth opened, and the missile launcher on its back moved into the mouth, transforming into a rotating missile launcher under the ligament’s action.

Meanwhile, numerous supports pierced out from the hip area of its legs. A large amount of flesh began to spread along the alloy support and, under the super healing power of the gene-spliced super flesh, two thick giant legs formed.

Simultaneously, a large metal spear ejected from the right-hand area, vaguely identifiable as a metal spine.

As for the left hand, a handheld energy cannon protruded from the shoulder and, during its extension, spat out numerous teeth which, under the action of the flesh, embedded into the cannon’s body, forming two main cannon arms. The teeth turned into ring-shaped tooth chains which, as the cannon’s body lit up, crazily rotated to become a rotating cannon hammer.

As a head similar to the Human-headed Dog’s squeezed out from the abdominal cavity, the transformation was complete.

Its mechanical energy suddenly soared by 100,000 points, with the cost being a reduction of 50,000 points in biological energy.

In the System Panel, a series of ’Gene Collectives’ skills began refreshing, converting the ’Leopard Warrior’s’ abilities.

Skills: Mechanical Power Hammer lv5 (Elite), Earthquake lv7 (Expert), Plasma Gun lv8 (Expert), Mechanical Grenade Cannon lv2 (Expert), Leopard Neural Combat Library lv4 (Expert), Combat Learning Panel lv4 (Expert)

Although during the transformation, a large amount of blood sprayed out from the transformed parts, resulting in a blood volume loss of 100,000, it was comforting that no module got stuck mid-way.

This ’Leopard Warrior’ had a notably familiar vibe, such as the spear formed from the ’Alloy Spine’, and the rotating cannon hammer resembling the ’Microcomputer Tiger’.

Some were Schematics from the Security Corps, such as the Close Combat Exoskeleton and Bio-Fusion Body.

The remaining were Gao Gong’s own ideas, like the distributed aggregation shipborne engine, the Neural Combat Library mimicking the Combat Chip, and a system-like Attribute Panel.

These aren’t completely schematics, and the reason is simple: he’s on the fusion route, so these schematics are destined to be only partially usable.

The remaining fusion parts require Gao Gong to explore by himself.

As the transformation completed, the ’Leopard Warrior’s’ eyes lit up again, with countless combat data flashing out from its eyes.

”Go fight.”

The ’Leopard Warrior’ nodded at Gao Gong with a head very much resembling a Human-headed Dog. Its two mechanical legs began to sprint furiously, and on the surface of the Plasma Gun, visible electric currents began to light up. In a flash, the gun’s shadow extended 50 meters away, and where it passed, numerous ancient machines exploded.

A cold gleam appears first, then the spear strikes like a dragon.

Simultaneously, with a nimble turn, the serrated large hammer in its right hand slammed down, smashing a tank-type robot rushing over into pieces.

Gao Gong had verified that this guy’s hammering force could reach ten times that of a ’Hydraulic Breaker’, which could break through mountains and roads, while it could punch through alloy.

Clearly, although its actions were a bit slower, its killing efficiency improved by at least three times.

Soon, the ancient robots near the base were mostly cleared, and the remaining ones were like playing whack-a-mole, popping up one and smashing one.

The ’production’ efficiency couldn’t match the destruction efficiency.

”Let’s go, we’re going in.”

Gao Gong was the first to walk towards the ’Metal Bread’, with Dean Zhao pausing for a moment before hurrying to follow, opening his mouth but ultimately saying nothing.

He really wanted to ask how a humanoid robot nearly 30 meters tall could be so nimble, performing agile tactical movements even some gymnasts couldn’t manage.

Even combat robots equipped with a combat system were considered weak in comparison to it.

He had no doubt that if it really came down to a fight, this super peculiar robot could take on, and defeat, ten or even twenty at a time.

Gao Gong walked into a passage that vaguely resembled a ’Metal Floor’, and soon, a beam of electronic scanning light swept past.

Gao Gong’s eyes once again fogged up, his pupils forming into the shape of Old Jinya’s, and simultaneously, a ’Soldier’s Plaque’ appeared on his neck.

’Divine Soldier Base Third Class Soldier Verified’

Although the Empire had reached the level of a Level 2 Civilization, it was clearly only at the initial stage and lacked experience in dealing with counterparts.

Facing the Tier 2 Bloodline Eye of Truth, its defense system was totally ineffective.

However, this place was indeed heavily defended; even after decades, there remained five or six types of defense systems.

By relying on his Third Class Soldier status, Gao Gong smoothly passed through the periphery, but at the final gate, he was stopped.

It was a large armored head with a gap for a mouth.

’Third Class Soldier Jin Xiaohai, please leave immediately, your rank is insufficient to access the [Seagull Center]’

’Third Class Soldier Jin Xiaohai, please leave immediately, your rank is insufficient to access the [Seagull Center]’

”Be careful, there should be an Imperial Type III Charged Particle Cannon installed here.”

E 12453 suddenly said.

Unlike the previous generation of Hunters, who were a bunch of old rogues, these synthetic people were generally silent unless they encountered something particularly interesting.

The Human-headed Leopard had left them deeply shaken.

They instinctively compared the Empire’s ’big, dumb, and clumsy’ mechas with it.

The result was quite pessimistic.

It was completely not in the same league.

It was like a bowman facing a machine gunner; unless they drained the opponent’s energy, they couldn’t think of a way to win.

However, what shocked them even more was yet to come.

As Gao Gong willed it, the remaining half tube of ’Black Prince King’s Blood’ was injected into his body.

This time, the sensation was noticeably smoother than before.

Unexpectedly, the reproductive soldier body was stimulated, transforming into ’Neuronal Armor’.

Moreover, it wasn’t like the previous skin-tight metallic clothing, but rather transformed into a splendid mechanical robe, with engravings of Divine Beasts from the Civilization Era, now translated as Night Qilin.

A unique feeling emerged.

Gao Gong stepped forward involuntarily.

The next moment, it seemed as if the entire air had frozen, and the whole world turned black.

As his toe touched the ground, the black world cracked open, waves of violent black waves surged higher and higher, leaving layers of cracks on the metallic surfaces they passed, and numerous inspection systems crashed on the spot.

When the black light swept over the building-sized head of the mecha, the charged particle cannons at the eyes instantly went out.

The previously rigid electronic voice seemed to warm up slightly.

[Welcome, Crown Prince]

Gao Gong didn’t need to turn around to guess the shocked expressions of the three old men behind him.

[You have comprehended Emperor’s Might (Grey)]

With the precipitation of the Black Prince King’s Blood, the skill status rapidly greyed out.

However, this time it was noticeably better than the last time; last time, nothing was left behind.

This top-tier blood infusion felt like a severe digestive issue; before, it was completely uncontrollable, but at least now it could be held for a while.

Gao Gong walked in; this Seagull Center wasn’t large, just a small room.

A coded safe and three computers.

Seeing those desktop computers, Gao Gong felt nostalgic and skillfully pressed the power button.

Without a password, Gao Gong easily logged on.

Inside the computer were internal documents of the Divine Soldier Base, primarily involving personnel deployments and sea patrol tasks.

The second computer, however, held quite a bit of fruitful gain.

It contained experimental data on the Empire’s latest mecha models, War Bear Type III, IV, and V.

It was evident that the Empire’s mechas were gradually upgrading from ’hand-controlled joystick’ to ’neural manipulation.’

However, it was apparent that this technology was immature, causing significant physical discomfort to drivers, including nausea, vomiting, and even fainting during missions.

They were missing a schematic for the External Neural Connection Device.

The first computer was for personnel deployment, the second for experimental data, but the third computer was completely empty.

Gao Gong frowned and began to operate it skillfully, only to find that even the ’registry’ had been thoroughly cleaned.

The familiar feeling from before flashed away.

However, Gao Gong’s Eye of Truth could no longer see ’black’.

Subsequently, Gao Gong violently opened the safe, finding mecha design maps used in the Divine Soldier Base service — over a dozen types, all small to medium sizes.

A different system voice rang out.

[Mission Failed]

The mission’s failure slightly diminished Gao Gong’s joy in acquiring the mecha design maps.

It wasn’t because it was his first failed mission. In fact, he had failed countless missions in his past life, so this wasn’t significant.

It was because the ’Revenge Spirit of the Machine’ failed for an inexplicable reason.

’Was it an unawakened Mechanical Revolution? Impossible, the Mechanical Revolution is a cosmic-level major plot, and it’s supposed to happen in the next version.’

’Did an Artificial Intelligence war delete the files? That’s quite possible, but what did it delete? Its main address?’

Gao Gong had a feeling it wasn’t that simple.

All the way back to the mother ship, Gao Gong pondered this matter.

While Gao Gong was contemplating, C-53145, D-31134, E-12453 exchanged glances.

Ultimately, the trio made up their minds, approached Gao Gong, knelt on one knee, their eyes ablaze with fervor:

”The Imperial Synthetics pledge their allegiance to you.”

[C-53145, D-31134, E-12453 joined the alliance, Alliance Experience +600,000]

[The ’Hunter Camp’ has activated the bloodline system and acquired ’Synthetic Bloodline’]

Synthetics: A low-level auxiliary soldier species developed by the Empire to meet the growing manpower demand. This bloodline allows one to randomly acquire a mechanical talent.

Overall, the performance was adequate, finally winning the favor of these three old fellows.
