Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

As the transport plane slowly entered the hangar of the Sky Mother Ship, a butler robot greeted them with a smile.

”Welcome to Heaven’s Ship, Desert Paradise.”

”Urgh~~”

Xiao Huang looked pale and vomited bile on the other’s face.

The butler robot’s expression didn’t change; it picked up a handkerchief from its chest and wiped it away, only to greet more kindly.

”Young Master Xiao, you’ve come again. May I ask what type of maid you need? I will arrange it immediately.”

However, as a regular visitor, Xiao Huang was full of terror at this moment, tightly clutching Brother Gao’s sleeve, shaking his head constantly: ”No women, no women, keep them away from me!”

The butler looked at Gao Gong, eyes brightening, and said, ”Are you the famous Beast Tide Resister, Mr. Gao? The Vice Admiral specifically instructed me to attend to you.”

Gao Gong nodded, looked at Xiao Huang, and said, ”You’d better arrange a check-up for him. I suspect he is overstimulated.”

At this moment, Xiao Huang was despairingly clutching Gao Gong, saying, ”I’m not kidding, that girl just went boom and exploded. That new model virtual machine definitely has a problem, you have to believe me, Brother Gao.”

”So, do you want me to throw it away?”

Xiao Huang was painfully entangled, although this virtual machine scared him limp, leaving a huge psychological shadow; but when he thought of the joy it brought him and the painstakingly crafted archives of many girls, Xiao Huang was reluctant.

”Stop hesitating, let me take a look. You know I’m an absolute professional in this field.”

Xiao Huang looked grateful: ”Brother Gao, you’re a good person. I’ll give you a collector’s edition virtual machine in return.”

”You just focus on recovering, the earlier this kind of illness is treated the better; delaying might mean needing a replacement.”

”Another replacement? I’ve already gone through three, hurry, hurry, send me to the treatment room quickly!”

After Xiao Huang was carried away on a magnetic suspension stretcher, Gao Gong began to examine his surroundings: gravity conduction, core cabin, cargo spaceship, self-circulating systems— it was impressive enough to be mistaken for a large space station.

No wonder it’s the old stronghold of the Security Corps.

”Lord Flasuo specifically instructed that we must meet with you at the first opportunity.”

Alien Blood Flasuo, the founder of the Public Security Corps, this was something Gao Gong had only learned from Xiao Huang.

In his past life, he hadn’t heard of this person at all.

Under the butler’s guidance, Gao Gong entered the zero-gravity tunnel, a familiar feeling of weightlessness hitting him. Under the gravitational traction technology, his body slowly floated and quickly moved forward.

Gao Gong noticed that from time to time, a blue light flashed on the tunnel walls on either side.

”Mr. Gao, weapons are not allowed on the Sky Mother Ship. If you are carrying anything, please hand it over promptly.”

”Of course, I’m not carrying anything,” Gao Gong said calmly. ”Why, do I still need to worry about my safety on the Sky Mother Ship?”

”Certainly not,” the butler replied with a smile.

Meanwhile, in a monitoring room, Gao Gong’s physiological data—height, weight, appearance—were being marked down one by one.

Simultaneously, several voices echoed.

’Alloy titanium skeletal marking, inspection underway, no retractable weapons.’

’Human magnetic field test passed, no radioactive energy weapons detected.’

’Brain examination ongoing, cerebral cortex activity normal, no signs of artificial manipulation.’

’Prosthetic eye hack successful, monitoring virus entering incubation period.’

A projection video suddenly opened, showing the perspective from Gao Gong’s own sight.

After five turns, the figure suddenly lifted upward, and when Gao Gong’s vision recovered, he found himself in an open-air garden, under dim lighting, surrounded by polite gentlemen, ladies in evening gowns, and service robots moving amongst them.

Gao Gong, clad in a camouflage jacket, looked out of place there.

The jacket was a standard outfit of the Security Corps.

”Please wait a moment, I will notify Lord Flasuo. At this time, Lord Flasuo is likely just asleep.”

”No problem.”

Gao Gong didn’t care about others’ curious glances, squinting, he lit a cigarette and stared at the central fountain, lost in thought.

”You’ve finally arrived.”

A pleasant voice sounded, and Gao Gong turned his head, raising an eyebrow slightly. It was an incredibly beautiful woman he had never seen before.

Her wavy golden hair, skin like white jade, and eyes like blue amber.

She wore a purple backless long dress, held a fiery red drink in her hand, and smiled at him slightly.

”Do I know you, Ms. Bionic Woman?”

Gao Gong assessed her; judging from the materials, her skin was made from the planet’s finest substance, and her body structure was healthy, at least not risking any internal structural issues just to accentuate her figure.

The subtle expressions on her face were also well executed, starting with a standard smile, then slowly becoming stiff under Gao Gong’s invasive gaze, a trace of anger flashing in her eyes, as her fingers subtly tightened around the glass.

Appearance, movements, micro-expressions, and temperament—this level of bionic man almost reaches the technological limits of a Level 2 Civilization.

”There’s wear on the web of your hand,” Gao Gong suddenly said, ”With your resources, replacing a damaged prosthetic body shouldn’t be an issue. The only reason is that it’s your dominant hand, and you like using it to hold a gun.”

”Among the gun experts I know, you’re not one of them, but if it’s someone skilled that I haven’t met, there is one.”

”The captain of the Symbiotic Squad?”

The bionic woman’s expression improved considerably, saying, ”My name is Anna.”

So this fellow is a woman, and a bionic one at that.

”Hmm—”

In Gao Gong’s impression, after the ’Arm Severance Plan,’ this person seemed to have exited the hunting contest, which was a wise choice. In fact, if it hadn’t been for Gao Gong’s efforts to avert catastrophe, the beast tide would have been 100% unstoppable.

But in Anna’s eyes, the seemingly profound gaze of the man before her felt like a kind of disdain.

Anna said coldly, ”I only left Automobile City because I had another mission.”

”That makes sense. May I ask if there’s something you need?”

Actually, we don’t really know each other, haven’t exchanged a word.

”I want the exclusive rights to the Energy Annihilation Agent.” The other party got straight to the point.

Gao Gong forced out a laugh, too lazy to respond.

Anna stared at the other person, then suddenly laughed, ”Trust me, you’ll agree to it.”

With that, she downed her glass and turned to leave.

Gao Gong watched her back, or more accurately, was drawn to the two large white snakes rolling beneath her red dress. These legs, slender yet beautifully curvy, instilled a strong sense of familiarity.

At that moment, the butler trotted over, saying: ”Mr. Gao, please follow me. Lord Flasuo wishes to see you.”

This Sky Mother Ship is truly vast, comparable to several hotels, with flashing neon lights, pools, casinos, virtual experience centers, neuro-drug rooms, entertainment clubs—everything imaginable. Female attendants are everywhere in charge of hospitality, including bionic maids, primordial maids, and semi-mechanical maids. Their mechanical plugins aren’t for combat.

These female attendants are dressed in Gothic Lolita outfits, some in long gowns, some not wearing outfits at all, moving around endlessly, causing a dazzling spectacle.

Gao Gong harshly criticized them with his eyes.

Ultimately, Gao Gong was ushered into a grand palace, where a graceful white-furred giant leopard reclined before a throne, baring its teeth, its raised head almost reaching the ceiling.

Sitting on the throne was a middle-aged man with blue skin and purple pupils, lazily petting the leopard’s bucket-sized head.

Seeing Gao Gong’s astonished expression at the sight of the white leopard, Flasuo smiled and said, ”A Genetic Ornamental Beast, a very interesting little creature gifted to me.”

”Greetings, Your Excellency,” Gao Gong feigned a bow, his waist barely bent.

Flasuo was indifferent, saying, ”Tomorrow there will be a grand medal ceremony to honor those who fought against the beast tide. That’s you. I will award you a Level 1 Mechanical Medal.”

”Thank you, Your Excellency.”

Flasuo changed his posture; his hand adorned with rings turned slightly, saying, ”Actually, you’ve put me in a difficult position. Not because you did poorly, but too well—once the Energy Annihilation Agent came out, it decisively severed the root of those filthy beasts, truly neat and ruthless. But like this, our Security Corps’ role has diminished.”

”Your Excellency is too modest. Beast tides along the coast and factory defenses surely need the Security Corps.”

Flasuo chuckled, ”Although true, it remains unstable. I’ve heard you plan to develop an Oasis and surely lack all kinds of equipment. You’re our hero, and our Security Corps will not forget you.”

”Oh? And the cost?”

”We’ll help you sell Energy Radiation Agents. Keep in mind, there are beast tides not only here, but across this continent. With your agent, you could monopolize the global market. Don’t be shortsighted. Share some of the profits, and we can engage in considerable business.”

Gao Gong finally understood why Anna was so confident—it all started here.

”Then how much do I get?”

”We’ll assist with raw materials, collaborate in production, and you can earn thirty percent of the net profits.”

”Sounds like quite a bit.”

The major share goes to the distributors, which sounds fair enough, especially when they’re helping with raw materials.

Flasuo smiled without a word.

Gao Gong said, ”Let me consider it.”

”You can take your time, you just arrived. Play a few days here. There are many things you’ve never seen before.”

”Okay, arrange a female guide for me, a pretty one,” Gao Gong stretched lazily. ”I’ve sat on the plane for so long, I’m a bit tired.”

”Take a good rest. Discuss things tomorrow,” this middle-aged man seemed particularly amiable.

Gao Gong turned to leave, and at the door, he seemed to think of something, turned back and asked curiously: ”By the way, what does your Genetic Leopard eat? I suppose it doesn’t eat Nutrition Paste?”

”Of course not; my Gilbert only consumes the freshest human meat.”

Gao Gong squinted his eyes, saying: ”Being picky isn’t a good habit.”
