Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

’Red Liquid’ as a low-level biological replicant is no match for Bio-Fusion Armor.

But by a stroke of luck, it absorbed the essence of over twenty Bio-Fusion Armors, causing its nature to transform, becoming smarter, more spiritual, and more like ’Venom.’

However, like that egg, a significant portion of them is constituted by Gao Gong’s cells. You could call it an avatar or a descendant; in most cases, loyalty is assured.

Perhaps.

It was somewhat unexpected.

On the way to the fourth floor, Gao Gong encountered no attacks.

He was ready to force his way through.

However, on the fourth floor, Gao Gong met an obstacle.

”First Laboratory, Second Laboratory, Third Laboratory.”

Gao Gong repeatedly confirmed that there was no so-called Fourth Laboratory.

’Blinding Skill, Virtual Reality, or other hidden mechanisms?’

Gao Gong looked at the wall opposite the Third Laboratory, his eyes filled with thought.

He suddenly recalled that Professor Han had mentioned the entire research institute underwent bionic modifications, transforming into a life form.

’If it’s a life form, can I merge with it?’

’Merging or not doesn’t matter, mainly I want it to feel the thrill of rejection from my body.’

Gao Gong stroked his chin, and the next moment, he placed his palm on the wall. His arm quickly became monstrous, with countless crimson blood vessels and metallic spots appearing. Within a powerful aura, the blood vessels began to writhe on the wall, while the metallic spots rapidly corroded the surrounding metal materials.

Sure enough, as the rejection power deepened, Gao Gong clearly felt changes beginning in the entire fourth floor.

Once the transformation completed, the wall disappeared, replaced by a laboratory, with a small line of words on the door plaque.

Fourth Laboratory (Ecological Experiment Center)

”Neither like a biological entity nor a machine, interesting.”

Gao Gong pushed the door open and entered.

Unexpectedly, inside was lush and green, like a miniature plant cultivation base, with various medium and small-sized plants from the Civilization Era carefully tended by small robots.

A cleaning robot was lightly sweeping fallen leaves.

Another robot was loosening soil.

The AI of these robots was not advanced, belonging to the category of intelligence artificially amassed through big data.

However, as Gao Gong walked through various potted plants, he didn’t find anything problematic.

Plant growth and decay, after all, don’t follow a fixed pattern.

’Is there an AI command, or some bionic technology?’

Gao Gong walked to the end of the laboratory, across the window, where someone was watering a pot of flowers. The faint sunlight streaming down appeared very warm.

Unfortunately, the person is a virtual projection, the flowers are a virtual projection, and even the sunlight is an environment projection.

The person placed the watering can on the balcony, wiped his hands, and turned around, revealing a face that left one astounded.

”Professor Han?!”

”Kid, you recognize me?”

”Uh, recognize, just not sure if that person is you.”

The projected Professor Han chuckled, somewhat cheekily for some reason.

”Seems like you’ve met my bionic man, how is he, handsome or impressive, how many women did he sleep with after leaving?”

”Apparently not a single one.”

”As expected, there was a problem with the experiment. We failed to bionically replicate the instinctual drive, a failure, a big failure!”

’Professor Han’ exclaimed in disappointment.

Professor Han is actually a Bionic Man!?

Gao Gong looked at the other with surprise, the projected Professor Han appeared very aged, his head full of white hair, and several folds of flesh on his face.

According to the timeline, he should have been under forty when he left the research institute.

This ’Professor Han’ noticed Gao Gong’s thoughts, snorted coldly.

”Don’t be fooled by my appearance, managing ten women at night is no problem, if you don’t believe it, I’ll show you my performance tapes, guaranteed to astonish you.”

”Ahem, no need for that,” Gao Gong was a bit embarrassed, starting to believe Professor Han might indeed be a Bionic Man.

After all, his flamboyance matches exactly with the diaries.

”What a pity, my true skills left without a successor.”

’Professor Han’ clicked his tongue twice: ”Kid, since you came along with my bionic body, did the plan succeed or fail?”

”What plan?”

”You don’t know our plan?” Now it was ’Professor Han’s’ turn to be stunned.

”If you don’t know the plan, why did you come?”

Gao Gong rubbed his chin, ”Is this plan related to aliens?”

”Indeed, it’s to deal with those green-brained ones,” ’Professor Han’ slapped his thigh, ”Damn! Since you don’t know about this plan, it must have failed! Young man, what’s the situation outside, is there still a Bionic Man?”

”Uh, considering the Mother City, the number of Bionic Men should exceed that of Primordial People.”

”Sigh! I told them not to use my bionic form, making Old Zhang’s would be better, he’s more reliable! Now we’re doomed, the Empire is beyond saving!”

’Professor Han’ held his head in his hands, looking utterly hopeless.

Gao Gong interrupted the other’s self-pity, and asked straight up: ”Professor Han, what exactly is this plan, merely killing a few aliens probably won’t stop the advent of the Mechanical Era, right.”

”What do you know, if we had succeeded, the situation outside would be much better now, at least that Advanced Civilization would have reformed society in a more moderate way. Who would have thought those green-brained ones lack virtue and directly played a ’cat for the crown prince’ trick.”

”Are you saying that not only is the outside Professor Han a fake, but the Black Prince is a fake too?”

’Professor Han’ let out a long sigh, plopped down on a chair, and began to tell the story from the beginning.

The first half of the story was exactly the same as what the Bionic Professor Han said: the Second Mechanical War began, the Bionic Technology Research Institute was seized by a group of aliens, and all the researchers were forced to conduct bionic research.

But what the Bionic Professor Han didn’t say was that the aliens’ bionic target wasn’t ordinary people, but the Imperial Bloodline; they wanted to bionically create a ’Black Prince’ to replace the authentic Crown Prince and participate in the forthcoming Mechanical Era.

These imperial researchers certainly weren’t willing to submit, so although they appeared compliant, they were secretly planning to make trouble.

Although the aliens had strong military force, their scientific knowledge, especially in bionics, wasn’t much greater than what the researchers knew.

And these researchers, while continuing with various biological experiments, were secretly advancing their ’rebellion plan.’

The plan was divided into two steps: the first step, build a powerful biological defense system; the second step, move all experimental subjects into this ’biological system’ to create a Super Life.

This Super Life would destroy the aliens and their plan.

”Won’t they notice?”

”What do they know! A bunch of alien bumpkins!”

”Bionics has eight research directions: Brain Bionics, Life Bionics, Exchange Bionics, Eco-Bionics, Energy Bionics, Network Bionics, Molecular Bionics, Evolutionary Bionics. Each direction can develop hundreds of branches. On the surface, we followed their directions but secretly we pursued our own research.”

”These biological experiments seem totally unrelated on the surface, but when combined, they will give birth to a biological will.”

”Is the Brain-in-a-Vat also a part of it?” Gao Gong interrupted.

”The Great Brain is the most crucial link among them.”

”And what about that Professor Han?”

’Professor Han’ ground his teeth: ”We weren’t sure that the experiment would succeed, so we left a backdoor in the ’rebellion plan.’”

”This backdoor is that if our experiment fails, then at least one person must escape the research institute to inform the upper echelons of the Empire, but our bodies couldn’t leave, we all had surveillance marks left on us by those aliens.”

”So you thought of the Bionic Man?”

”That’s right.”

Gao Gong pondered, ”Now the question is, why is part of the Bionic Professor Han’s memory suddenly missing, and it’s the most crucial part.”

’Professor Han’ let out a long sigh and said, ”Now it’s too late to say anything, the experiment failed. Those green-brained ones have probably already replaced the Black Prince and disrupted the Empire’s policies.”

”No need to be so upset, the Empire is gone anyway, they have no more chance to interfere,” Gao Gong consoled.

’Professor Han’ blew out his whiskers glaring, ”Is this how you comfort someone?”

”By the way, there’s another question, without the Great Brain, can that Super Life you created still function normally?”

’Professor Han’ was stunned for a while, ”How could it, without the Great Brain, what we’ve created is tantamount to the Living Dead.”

…

’Little Lady No. 2’ walked through the underground tunnel, and a voice sounded in her ear.

”We were meant to be one, now you have finally come.”

”I know you well, you give me a sense of a blood connection, but in my memory, there is no presence of you,” said ’Little Lady No. 2.’

”Of course, you have only recently awakened, and I have always been in slumber. To be precise, it was you who awakened me.”

”Awakened?” ’Little Lady No. 2’ pondered, ”I triggered the research institute’s defense mechanism, causing the defense system to start operating, so you’re an eco-type life form?”

”Your life form is very similar to mine.”

Soon, ’Little Lady No. 2’ saw a green-skinned corpse, this corpse stood three meters tall, with three eyes and two mouths, all three eyes were white, the body surface was shriveled, but strangely, the corpse wasn’t decomposing, it still maintained a freshness.

”I have no memory of this type of life form.”

Tentacles covered the entire corpse, drilling into the mouth and ears, and ’Little Lady No. 2’ opened her eyes.

”Powerful life energy, this is a Multi-planetary Species.”

”These are Michael Star People from the Star Thief Group, a notorious star system species trafficker.”

These green-skinned beings were increasingly numerous in the underground laboratory, their body surfaces showed no injuries but seemed to have been drained dry.

Finally, she reached the end, between large experimental equipment, a ’green-skinned person’ about four meters tall turned around.

A Multi-planetary Species is at least level 30, and this one was no doubt a leader boss, terrifying muscles supporting the outer garment, an array of energy weapons hung on the outer space combat suit, surrounded by crackling bioelectric currents.

It looked at Little Lady No. 2, grinned, its figure began to shrink bit by bit, the high-performance combat suit also shrank automatically, and the energy weapons transformed into fist-sized mechanical balls hanging on its body.

Finally, a green-skinned little lady was born.

This is Little Lady No. 3.
