Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Network Bionics, Evolutionary Bionics, Molecular Bionics, the three bionic technologies missing from the Research Institute mission chain; I didn’t expect to find one so quickly, and it’s with someone I’m deeply familiar with, Sister Rose.

This bionics is too lifelike.

’A character like Sister Rose, with her power, talent, appearance, all one in a million, and even carries a mission chain, how come I never heard of her in the past life.’

’Logically, even if I hadn’t heard of her reputation, I should have seen her records.’

’Unless, in a timeline where I didn’t exist, she died here.’

Gao Gong’s regard for Sister Rose reached unprecedented levels as she mastered ’Evolutionary Bionics,’ which signifies her potential to achieve ’Rebel A’ status.

Every planet has its main character, and not necessarily just one. On Mechanical Split Star, there are two recognized protagonists, Rebel A and Artificial Intelligence warfare, with some contenders like the ’Arasaka Tower Fall Event’s’ 11 Arhats, the radical reformists of Mas Sharpness, the winner of Electronic Brain revolution, the CEO girl of Holy Brain Group, and the trailblazers of Cyber Tide.

Sister Rose’s background, at present, seems not inferior to those contenders.

’Could it be because she perished here, which is why her fame isn’t prominent.’

Gao Gong’s expression grew serious; if she died here, who would support me in the future?

A rich lady with such a good figure is hard to come by.

’Beep beep—’

[Mission Third Ring: The Disappearance of Black Rose]

Mission Objectives: Rescue Black Rose / Find Black Rose’s corpse

Mission Reward: Experience +4000, new ’Biomimetic Origin’ mission fragment

”What exactly is the Evolutionary Bionics technique, and why did Bartender Meimei grow to look like Sister Rose?”

”Not, not just the bartender,” Little Finger took a deep breath and said, ”everyone on this battleship could potentially be an object of Sister Rose’s bionics. Theoretically, anyone could be Sister Rose.”

Gao Gong recalled the previous scenes.

The inexplicably vegetarian Alien Blood Flasuo.

The familiar feeling sensed from Bionic Man Anna, Bionic Man Xiaoyi.

And the bartender who turned into the shape of Sister Rose.

”So, is it because the assassination plan went awry, causing the ’Evolutionary Bionics’ to act up?”

”It appears so at present.” Little Finger nodded.

”Do you have any ideas?”

Just as Little Finger was about to speak, the doorbell rang.

Gao Gong shot up instantly, simultaneously pressing down on the other.

At that moment, Little Finger felt a sticky sensation covering from head to toe, his prosthetic doctor instincts alerting him that all signals on his body were blocked.

’This guy is becoming increasingly abnormal, and this method is somewhat similar to Sister Rose.’

Gao Gong gestured for silence to Little Finger, rising with the mist in his eyes slowly rotating, the plates, cups, leftovers all restored to their original state.

Gao Gong opened the door, and it was Xiao Tong and Xiao Ya, brother and sister.

”So late?”

”Did we interrupt your business?” Xiao Tong became more enthusiastic, punching his chest, ”It is already confirmed, you are of Imperial bloodline, and it’s the most authentic Emperor bloodline. I’ve conveyed the news to the family, and the elders are very excited, insisting we must protect you well.”

Xiao Ya didn’t speak, rather she looked around the room twice, her pupils growing dense tiny pupils.

The Xiao Family members, or rather, Bio-Fusioners, do not undergo mechanical transformation because it may induce biological rejection, but in terms of biological transformation, the Xiao Family members are experts.

Xiao Ya’s eyes are biological prosthetic eyes, even better than the military-grade enhanced prosthetic eyes, but she looked around and found no anomalies.

This is the suppression of bloodline hierarchy.

”Why, are you checking if I’m hiding a woman?” Gao Gong chuckled.

”Could be a man too.”

Xiao Ya sneered, tossing over an object, the strange tube from the day, ”Figure out its use yourself, it can train your bloodline power.”

”Really, thanks.”

”Alright, let’s go,” Xiao Tong slung his arm over Gao Gong’s shoulder.

Gao Gong raised an eyebrow, ”Where to, are you really taking me to find a woman?”

”Of course not, taking you to meet some people, in the future our Xiao Family will not be convenient to appear, you can entrust them to handle matters, they like you, have very special identities.”

”Special identities?”

Gao Gong had a thought, intentionally putting on an uneasy expression, ”I probably know who you’re going to take me to meet, but on the Sky Battleship, under Flasuo’s nose, isn’t it very unsafe? How about next time?”

”What are you afraid of,” Xiao Ya glanced at him, ”Flasuo is nothing, in a few days, he’ll be one of our own, believe it or not?”

Gao Gong was shocked, ”Flasuo is your man, then you—”

”Hahaha, let’s go, let’s go, once you see the real person, you will know how mighty ’we’ are.”

...

In the vast exocrine network, information flows ceaselessly, and the interaction node is the Golden Palace of the Mother Ship center; or rather, the master within the palace.

Alien Blood Flasuo.

Many people know, except for necessary detections, there are no monitoring devices inside the Sky Mother Ship.

Countless people have proven this point.

So, many prominent figures, besides indulging in luxury and debauchery here, also engage in clandestine dealings in secret.

Because this place is secure enough.

Yet few know that Alien Blood Flasuo is silently observing all of this.

The alien bloodline he has implanted is a rare pheromone life form, and the entire Sky Mother Ship is covered by his chemical substances; you could even say, the whole Sky Mother Ship is his true body.

As long as he wishes, nothing here can be hidden from him.

But at this moment, the network formed by Flasuo’s pheromones is gradually being overlaid by an electronic grid, and within this electronic grid, graceful figures appear. These figures control everyone’s exocrine substances, both preventing the spread of the electronic grid and constantly evolving the ’alien blood’ of Alien Blood Flasuo.

It’s not devouring; it’s evolution, evolving a more complete alien bloodline to replace Flasuo and take control of this exocrine network.

As for Flasuo himself, he must fend off these two forces simultaneously.

Everything transpires in silence.

Whoever can break the stalemate first will become the ultimate winner.

...

Each Major General of the Security Corps has their own private residence on this Mother Ship.

Commonly referred to as allocated housing.

Xiao Tong’s residence is a rather old-fashioned estate, adorned with carved beams and painted rafters, with lotus lanterns hanging between the eaves, creating a very atmospheric setting.

By a lotus pond, Xiaoyi, hands supporting her cheeks, brightened up upon seeing Gao Gong and shouted, ”Master!”

With short legs flailing, she quickly ran to Gao Gong’s side, leaping strongly, making Gao Gong instinctively open his arms.

Damn instinct!

Upon hearing the noise, figures emerged one by one.

’Remember, to the outside world, claim that you are merely of some Elector’s bloodline, don’t expose yourself.’

Xiao Tong’s voice suddenly echoed in Gao Gong’s ear.

’Premature exposure doesn’t benefit you.’

This was Xiao Ya’s voice.

”The Emperor’s bloodline, finally meeting you,” said the leading white-haired middle-aged man enthusiastically, offering his hand first.

Gao Gong extended his palm but, just before contact, raised an eyebrow and retracted it.

As a newly minted ’Hacker Killer,’ Gao Gong could easily perceive the data flow, to put it plainly, like measuring internet speed manually.

And the ’speed’ on the other person was 100 times that of a normal human, which was very unusual.

With such ’speed,’ he suspected that a handshake would result in something being ’downloaded’ from him.

”You have a very strong aura of danger, killer?”

Xiao Tong quickly intervened, ”This is Mr. Ford from the Dark Net.”

Mr. Ford was not angry; instead, he glanced at Gao Gong with some surprise and said, ”Let me introduce myself, Harris Ford, assassin agent of sector 9-3 of the Guanzhong Plate.”

The person in charge of a sector, such a position was not insignificant, and—

”The head of the Dark Net, and not a Bionic Man?”

Before Mr. Ford could answer, Gao Gong had already appraised him.

”You’re not a Cyber Hacker either; you don’t have a Network Implantation Chamber, a company’s Neural Editor? No, you lack the neurotic traits of a Mechanical Era programmer, plus you don’t have any signs of modification, yet you have such a massive data flow.”

Gao Gong’s brow furrowed sharply, ”Actually a renegade Silver Winged Killer!!”

Mr. Ford’s expression froze.

The expressions of those around him changed too, clearly unaware of this person’s background.

But they knew very well the taboo of this identity!

Silver Winged Killer, guardian of the Cyber Network’s boundary, the Deep Net’s guard in the three great Mother Cities.

From the lowest-level human form antivirus software, to the self-aware Black Wing Killer, responsible for disinfecting the Cyber Network’s Red Wing Killer, capable of replicating self-awareness and downloading it into bodies, the Silver Winged Killer, to the final tier, with computational power comparable to large AI, the Cloud Wing Assassin.

The position of Silver Winged Killer was already quite high.

Such an important undercover agent being unmasked by Gao Gong with a single sentence, the consequences of which were imaginable.

”Heh heh,” Mr. Ford chuckled, adjusting his tie, a faint silver thread appearing on his pure black suit.

The next moment, silver light spread over everyone at the speed of fiber optics.

A flood of data flowing in radiant streams, the crisscrossed streets of the Nightless City, neon lights flickering wildly, high-rise lights like shuttles, pedestrians disappearing a million times faster, molten steel pouring into torrential rain.

Mr. Ford appeared once more across from Gao Gong, his white hair and blue eyes particularly sinister, extending a hand.

The rain halted.

Gao Gong immediately sensed his throat ’creaking’ and ’choking’, streams of data in silver liquid form spurting from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.

[You have been virtually invaded by the Silver Winged Killer. Your consciousness exceeds 100 points, granting you immunity]

The next moment, data burst from Gao Gong’s body surface, manifesting as a black trench coat, while in his palm, two silver and black handguns appeared.

The guns spun swiftly in the rain, converting rainwater into bullets, which spun into the magazines.

Programming Bullets: You can intercept a segment of programming language and insert it into your own magazine, with power depending on programming proficiency.

The gun’s muzzle flared with silver-white flames, firing the ’Anti-Invasion Bullet.’
