Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 144: Chapter 115: Good Friends (Double-Length Chapter)

”Bui...”

Glaceon looked at the Alcremie and finally responded.

Actually, it hadn’t meant to ignore Alcremie before; it simply didn’t know how to express itself or what to say.

Alcremie didn’t seem to mind; it happily handed Glaceon a Berry and proactively said:

”Mama?” (Let me show you around this ranch! There are many Pokemon living here, and everyone is good friends.)

Good friends... Glaceon pondered on this word.

Combined with its inner confusion, it didn’t refuse Alcremie. Instead, it lightly raised its forelimbs, followed behind Alcremie, and began familiarizing itself with this place.

Alcremie eagerly introduced the situation around them.

Glaceon moved forward, observing the surroundings; this was a habit it developed in the snowy mountains.

”Mama!” (Over there are Gogoats—they may look lazy, but they’re actually quite impressive! With them is Smoliv, who came here with me.)

Upon hearing this, Glaceon glanced in that direction.

With just one look, it sensed a terrifying natural energy emanating from there.

The natural energy there was incredibly rich, almost as potent as its Ice Stone!

Intuition told it that if it hadn’t gone to the snowy mountain initially but came here instead, it might have evolved into another form!

”Bui...”

Glaceon felt somewhat shocked inside.

Meanwhile, Alcremie seemed to be accustomed to it.

It continued to lead the way and said to Glaceon while passing by some houses:

”Mama... Mama!” (This is where Nacli, Miltank, and the hens live, but it’s late; they’re already resting... Tomorrow I’ll introduce them to you!)

”Bui.”

Then, they arrived at an orchard.

Alcremie said that Naoki planted the fruit trees and crops here, and by autumn, these trees would bear delicious Berries.

Seeing this, Glaceon finally understood the words Naoki spoke earlier.

It softly asked: ”Bui?” (Have you always lived in this place?)

Alcremie nodded: ”Mama~” (Yes!)

Glaceon: ”Bui?” (Don’t you need to find your own food every day?)

”Mama.” Alcremie shook its head gently. Of course not! Naoki cooks many delicious meals for them!

Glaceon was filled with confusion: ”Bui?” (Why does Naoki provide food for you?)

Upon hearing the question, Alcremie paused, seemingly not knowing the answer either.

It asked Glaceon to wait there for a moment, then ran back to the house and woke up Naoki, who had just fallen asleep.

Naoki yawned and rubbed his sleepy eyes, asking: ”What’s wrong?”

Alcremie: ”Mama?” (Why do you cook so many delicious meals for us?)

Unfortunately, Naoki didn’t understand.

However, Koraidon, who was lying on the ground asleep, gave an answer.

Alcremie turned its head and saw Koraidon’s mouth moving, although its eyes remained closed: ”Ah-gah-s.” (That’s because Naoki likes Pokemon.)

Having received the answer, Alcremie quickly ran outside, leaving Naoki feeling confused.

He yawned, felt a wave of drowsiness, and fell back onto his pillow to continue sleeping.

Naoki: zZZ

Watching Alcremie rush back, Glaceon found itself unsure of what to say.

Alcremie happily conveyed the answer to it.

Glaceon was slightly startled.

So, is it because he likes them that he prepares food for them?

Seeing it was still puzzled, Alcremie carefully recalled everyone in the ranch and then said to Glaceon:

”Mama!” (Naoki prepares food for us, and we all help him manage the ranch!)

Naoki works with Koraidon and Cyclizar to plant crops, Dragonite helps with watering, Combee collects honey, Gogoat produces goat milk...

It can also make delicious cream!

Upon hearing this, Glaceon felt a bit lost: ”Bui?” (Why?)

Alcremie answered: ”Mama!” (That’s because we all like Naoki!)

Mutual affection...

Glaceon didn’t speak further.

A night breeze blew by.

It smelled a scent it had never experienced before.

Glaceon couldn’t help but look up, and saw a beautiful flower field not far ahead—a flower field that couldn’t exist in the snowy mountains.

Its gaze was irresistibly drawn to those flowers.

It walked forward, gently lowered its head, and inhaled the fragrance of the flowers.

At that moment, Glaceon felt like it understood something.

After everything settled, Alcremie escorted Glaceon to the entrance of the Ice Cave, nervously asking: ”Mama?” (Can we be friends?)

Upon hearing this, Glaceon was slightly taken aback.

It thought about how Alcremie had given it the Berry, enthusiastically introduced the surroundings, and that moment in the afternoon when Alcremie received no response from it and left feeling disappointed.

After a moment of silence, it finally responded.

”Bui.”

Alcremie was overjoyed, happily bidding farewell to Glaceon: ”Mama!”

See you tomorrow!
