Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 133: Chapter 109: Glaseado Mountain

Naoki straightforwardly paid the money.

Keri then instructed a Machamp to move the power generator out and onto a truck.

Keri got into the car, poked her head out from the driver’s seat window, and shouted, ”You go back first, I’ll follow right behind you!”

”Got it!”

Naoki responded and then rode the Cyclizar back to the ranch.

Not long after, Keri also arrived there.

Machamp unloaded the power generator from the truck, and Keri looked around before asking, ”Where should we install it? It’s best if it can directly connect to the main power supply.”

Naoki lifted his foot and led the way forward, ”Follow me!”

He planned to place the power generator in the back storage room because the house’s power box was there.

It turned out, Keri was not only a skilled architect but also an excellent electrician.

Watching her skillfully install the power generator and connect the electric wires, Naoki showed a surprised expression on his face.

”I never thought you had this skill too.”

Keri explained, ”That’s because I’ve been living alone since I was a child and gradually learned it.”

Naoki was taken aback, ”What about your parents?”

Keri shrugged, ”They passed away twenty years ago. They used to be the town’s carpenters, so I naturally inherited their work when I grew up.”

Naoki opened his mouth, apologizing to her, ”Sorry.”

Keri seemed very indifferent, ”Birth, old age, sickness, and death are natural; there’s no need to apologize for such things.”

”I’m doing well now, running a shop with my own hands, with Machamp and the others helping me. I think if they were still around, they would be proud of me for being this capable!”

Naoki was slightly stunned, then admired, ”Yes, you are amazing!”

Keri smiled, and after finishing the installation of the power generator, she stood up and walked outside, into the cave used for mushroom cultivation.

Looking at everything inside, Keri turned back and asked, ”Do you still need these mushroom culturing trays? If not, you can leave them for me to reclaim!”

”Reclaim?”

Keri nodded, ”Although it’s cheaper than buying them, it can also help you clear out these useless things!”

Mushrooms have extremely demanding growth requirements, and since the cave was transformed into an ice cave, there was no suitable place for them to grow anymore at the ranch, leaving them as trash to be thrown away in the end.

Naoki thought of this, nodding, ”Then, they’re yours!”

Keri smiled slightly, then began to move the mushroom culturing trays from the cave to the truck with Machamp.

After handling everything, Keri pulled out her wallet from the driver’s seat, took out some League money, and handed it to Naoki:

”See you later!”

After saying that, she drove the truck away.

Meanwhile, Naoki started to pack up, preparing to go to Glaseado Mountain with Koraidon.

He put the lunch he’d prepared in advance into the fridge, instructing the Cyclizar to distribute it to everyone at noon.

The Cyclizar nodded obediently in agreement.

Seeing this, Naoki put cold-resistant clothing and some Berry Milk into his backpack to regain strength.

The geographical environment of Glaseado Mountain is special, and the temperature there is likely to be very low.

He didn’t know if Koraidon could withstand it.

At this moment, Naoki suddenly thought of the first dish he cooked after arriving in this world.

—Hot noodle soup.

If he remembered correctly, the dish’s effect was just cold resistance, which would be very helpful for the upcoming destination.

Thinking of this, Naoki put down his backpack again and, under Koraidon’s puzzled gaze, went to the fridge, took out the necessary ingredients, and began cooking.

He chopped scallions into sections, prepared two poached eggs in advance, then started a fire to boil water before placing the noodles in the boiling water.

Then he sprinkled a layer of scallion flowers on top, laid down two poached eggs, and finally dripped a few drops of sesame oil.

Soon, a complete bowl of hot noodle soup was ready.

Naoki looked down and the effect of the hot noodle soup emerged.

[Hot Noodle Soup (B+): A simple dish, but a warm choice for the spleen and stomach in a cold winter.

Cooking Effect: Cold Resistance lv3, capable of enduring severe cold, warming the body after consumption for a duration of 6 hours.

Rating: Slight]

”Indeed, with full ingredients and seasonings, the dish’s effect has been enhanced,” Naoki thought.

B+, a whole one and a half grade improvement compared to the original C-, with cold resistance duration increasing from lv1 to lv3, extending from 30 minutes to 6 hours.

”Want to try it?”

Naoki placed the bowl of noodles in front of Koraidon.

Sniffing the bowl of somewhat plain noodle soup, Koraidon’s nose twitched, the rich aroma was overwhelming, making it swallow hard.

”Ah gas?”

This bowl of noodles seemed different from last time?

Koraidon was a bit perplexed, and under Naoki’s gaze, it lifted the bowl and gulped down the soup and noodles.

After finishing, Koraidon immediately felt its entire body begin to warm up.

It knew this was the magic effect of the noodles.

Watching Koraidon devour it, Naoki felt a bit speechless.

He quickly finished his own bowl of hot noodle soup, then took out two Lucky Puddings from the fridge, one for himself and one for Koraidon.

Hoping their luck would be good enough to encounter desired Ice Type Pokemon today.

Once everything was ready, Naoki rode Koraidon heading toward Glaseado Mountain.

This path was familiar to Koraidon because two months earlier, it had accompanied Naoki to fish at the end of this road.

That place was Casseroya Lake, and Glaseado Mountain was located on the east side of Casseroya Lake.

Glaseado Mountain is the highest peak in the Paldea Region; due to its high altitude, the temperature there is extremely low, causing snowflakes to constantly drift down from Glaseado Mountain’s summit, covering the vast mountains with white snow year-round.

This weather affected the living habits of the humans residing nearby.

They even named the town Montenevera Town, signifying a town of snow and soul defense.

Such a unique geographical environment also created a very special Pokemon ecology on Glaseado Mountain.

The vast majority residing there are Ice Type Pokemon.

Koraidon’s speed was fast, its crimson figure streaking across the sky, quickly reaching Casseroya Lake.

Naoki raised his head, gazing at the distant high mountain shrouded in mist, then asked Koraidon, ”Are you scared?”

Koraidon shook its head, ”Ah gas!”

”Great, then let’s keep going!”

Koraidon picked up speed, charging into Glaseado Mountain.

Its crimson figure stood out conspicuously in the vast white snowy world.
