Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 102: Chapter 82: Dragon Dance

Dragonite had never seen such a Pokemon.

It possessed a gigantic dragon-like form, pitch black in color, with ancient golden patterns evenly distributed across its body. Its golden eyes emitted an invisible pressure, as if it were a deity, hovering high above the universe, looking down on the tiny creatures below.

One big, one small, one black, one orange.

At this moment, time seemed to freeze, and the two figures just quietly stared at each other.

”Awoo...”

Dragonite’s expression was solemn, but the other seemed not to bear any hostility towards it.

After a while, that Pokemon suddenly moved.

It twisted its massive and fierce black body and soared into the skies, flying to greater heights.

As it moved, an invisible vortex emanated from its body, followed by a tremendous wave that expanded outward from that spot at unimaginable speed.

In an instant, the storm raging over the sea was shattered, and the terrifying typhoon vanished without a trace.

”Awoo!”

Dragonite widened its eyes, deeply shocked by the scene.

What a powerful force!

The other didn’t seem to do anything, merely relying on the pressure released from its body to disperse the dreadful typhoon...

That pitch-black figure was deeply etched into Dragonite’s heart.

After witnessing the heroic stance of that mysterious Pokemon, Dragonite suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

Recalling the movements of that Pokemon’s twisting body, it immediately mimicked the intense performance of a Dragon Dance.

A strong force surged from deep within its body, and at this moment, Dragonite felt every cell of its body was roaring with excitement.

This feeling seemed to push it into a state of exhilaration, with a newfound power flowing forth from its body.

After a while, Dragonite gradually adapted to this sensation.

It looked up to find that mysterious Pokemon had disappeared without a trace, as if it had never appeared at all.

The other had left.

Beneath the tranquil night sky, only Dragonite’s silhouette remained.

With the typhoon gone, the winds and waves on the sea gradually calmed, and the spiral clouds connecting the sky and earth also began to disperse.

The stars and moon reappeared in the sky, reflecting on the deep blue sea, creating a magnificent scene.

Dragonite blinked and then looked up at the moon.

The moon is so beautiful!

The thought emerged in Dragonite’s mind.

Now then, it’s time to go back!

————

The next morning.

The typhoon that raged throughout the night bizarrely disappeared, and the heavy rain also stopped.

The typhoon seemed to have left the Paldea Region, its whereabouts unknown.

A transparent drop of water dripped from the eaves, landing on the grass below.

The small puddles in the mud reflected the azure sky and fluffy white clouds; today was another Sunny Day.

Naoki stood under the eaves, gazing into the distance, muttering to himself:

”Strange, didn’t the weather forecast say the typhoon would last several days?”

But more concerning than that was that Dragonite hadn’t returned yet.

Thinking of this, Naoki turned to look at Koraidon behind him, and asked, ”Koraidon, can you sense Dragonite’s presence?”

”Agaaah...”

Koraidon yawned calmly, shook its head, and woke up completely.

Suddenly, noticing something, it lifted its head to look forward.

Following its gaze, Naoki saw Dragonite flying back from afar.

Finally back!

Naoki couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

But when Dragonite landed, he noticed it was covered in a number of new scars, and it looked slightly weary.

Upon seeing Naoki, Dragonite’s eyes lit up instantly, though its body was battered, its spirits were incredibly high.

”Awoo!”

Seeing Dragonite in this state, Naoki couldn’t help but speak: ”Did you spend the whole night practicing new moves?”

Dragonite nodded its big head.

Then, it stepped back onto the grass, excitedly demonstrating for Naoki.

Dragonite flapped its wings, conjuring up a powerful storm that swept forward with formidable force.

Naoki was astonished: ”Hurricane?”

Dragonite nodded but didn’t stop the demonstration.

After one move, it began to perform a mysterious and powerful dance.

Naoki: ???

Watching this scene, Naoki was even more surprised: ”Dragon Dance? Did you learn this last night too?”

”Awoo!”

Dragonite gave an affirmative response.

It had a lot to thank that mysterious Pokemon for this.

If the other hadn’t provided inspiration, it probably wouldn’t have grasped it so quickly.

The image of that Pokemon dispersing the typhoon popped up in Dragonite’s mind, filling it with admiration.

Naoki didn’t think much of it; more than Dragon Dance, Dragonite’s safe return seemed more worth celebrating.

”Alright, coming back safely is better than anything. Let’s have breakfast first! You probably didn’t sleep all night, right? After eating, take a nap, and I’ll take care of the farm work today!”

The two walked inside, and as Naoki arranged things, he turned around and took some goat milk from the refrigerator.

After the typhoon, some of the facilities and crops on the farm were affected, and today would be a busy day of work.

Dragonite was indeed a bit tired.

It first ate the Berry Naoki prepared to restore its strength, and then began to eat breakfast.

After quickly finishing breakfast, Dragonite returned to its Poke Ball to catch up on sleep.

Meanwhile, Naoki and Koraidon took the goat milk into town, heading to Mrs. Dantes’ house as he remembered.

After knocking, the kindly, white-haired old lady appeared at the door.

Seeing who it was, she expressed surprise, looking around but not seeing the familiar figure.

Mrs. Dantes couldn’t help but feel a little worried, asking, ”Is that child Dragonite okay?”

Naoki thought the old lady’s intuition was quite sharp and nodded: ”Dragonite was out late last night facing the typhoon and is really tired. It’s resting at the farm now, so I’m delivering the milk today.”

”That’s good!” Mrs. Dantes breathed a sigh of relief, smiling as she took the milk from Naoki’s hands: ”Come in for a cup of tea!”

Naoki politely declined: ”Perhaps another time, there’s still some work waiting for me on the farm.”

Mrs. Dantes persuaded: ”It’ll only take a few minutes!”

A kind smile spread across her face: ”It won’t take long at all.”

Seeing this, Naoki helplessly agreed.

He thanked her, then entered the living room with Koraidon.

Mrs. Dantes set aside the goat milk and went to the kitchen to prepare; in a few minutes, she returned with two cups of steaming tea.

Placing the tea on the table, Mrs. Dantes brought out a plate of small biscuits and placed it in front of Koraidon.

She kindly introduced: ”This is Sweet Red Tea brewed with the tea leaves from Kitakami, with milk added. Give it a taste!”
