Chapter 114: Chapter 92: Grassy Terrain

Using Dragonite for watering, riding on a mysterious Pokémon not recorded in the Pokedex, and those three inexplicable Skiddo...

What exactly is this place?

Now he’d never believe that Naoki was just an ordinary country farmer for all the world!

A moment later, the light dispersed.

Three larger Gogoat appeared before everyone.

The energy released from within them had disappeared, making them look like ordinary Gogoat.

But Naoki knew it hadn’t vanished, but returned to the Gogoat’s bodies, ready to be used whenever they wished.

Thinking of this, Naoki stepped forward to carefully inspect the Gogoat’s bodies, then asked, ”Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

The three Gogoat gradually adjusted to their current state, felt carefully, then gently shook their heads.

”Baa!”

”That’s good, go play!” Naoki breathed a sigh of relief, waved his hand, and the Gogoat ran off.

He returned to the camp, his mind starting to ponder why the Skiddo had just erupted with such an exaggerated amount of Grass Type Energy.

”...Mr. Naoki?” Muping cautiously called out.

”What’s up?” Naoki feigned ignorance of what the other wanted to ask.

Muping asked carefully, ”Were those three Skiddo just now also Pokémon you raised?”

Naoki smiled politely, humbly saying, ”It’s all their own effort.”

Efforting to eat those Grassy Seeds, no problem there either.

So terrifying...

Muping raged internally.

The energy those three Skiddo released felt no less than that of the Elite Trainers from the Paldea Region.

If Skiddo can be raised to this extent, then what kind of strength do the other Pokémon in this ranch possess?

Muping subconsciously looked at the adorable Dragonite feasting across the grass, along with the seemingly average Butterfree and other Pokémon.

Are they... the same?

Just that these few Pokémon didn’t show their strength, making him unable to know the answer to this question.

As he had to get to the next town, Muping didn’t stay too long here.

In the afternoon, he bid farewell to Naoki, preparing to leave.

Naoki, standing with Koraidon at the front of the ranch, saw him off: ”Have a delightful journey!”

”Mm, and wish you a smooth workday!” Muping shouldered his bag, with Fuecoco on his shoulder and a Poke Ball with Fletchling in his pocket.

The two bid farewell, the young man turned around, continuing his journey with the recently captured Pokémon.

Naoki also turned back into the ranch, continuing his work as a rancher.

The ranch work was mostly done, but Naoki didn’t stop to rest. Instead, he found the three evolved Gogoat, starting to observe their changes.

First, their personalities.

Before evolving, the Skiddo had quite a docile personality, usually leisurely lying on the grass nibbling away.

And even after evolving into Gogoat, this habit hadn’t changed.

The only difference is, eating a Grassy Seed doesn’t make them glow anymore.

”The evolution probably greatly raised the Gogoat’s ceiling.”

Naoki pondered Miss Joy’s theory in his mind.

It’s said that Pokémon evolution is a massive leap in life’s level. The deeper the foundation accumulated before evolution, the stronger post-evolution strength.

The reason why the Skiddo glowed this morning was precisely because they had reached their limit.

So, is there any other change?

Thinking of this, Naoki called over the three Gogoat and had them demonstrate their learned moves.

The three Gogoat started moving.

Super Vinewhip, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf, Annoyance Seed, Synthesis, Horn Leech, Leaf Blade in their mouths, and their most skillful Grassy Terrain.

Waves of green light rippled out, continuously flowing from the Gogoat, then merging into the ground.

Soon, the ground was covered in a layer of green light, as if thousands of little grass tufts were lightly swaying within.

The covering range of the light expanded, eventually enveloping most of the pasture with the combined effect of the three Gogoat.

Watching this scene, Naoki couldn’t help but gasp in amazement.

Unstoppable!

Rather than continuing to use Grassy Terrain to describe it, Naoki thought calling it a domain would be more suitable.

Yes, Grassy Terrain!

Coupled with Grass Pelt and the Sap Sipper Ability, Naoki believed that apart from Koraidon, no other Pokémon in the ranch could match these three Gogoat!

If it were a 3v3 team battle, their performance would be even more spectacular.

The Sap Sipper Ability allows Gogoat not to take damage from Grass Type Moves, but to rather enhance attack.

Then, after setting up Grassy Terrain, let the other two Gogoat use Grass Type Moves to attack and boost the ally.

Also, Grassy Terrain increases the power of Grass Type Moves.

Once the domain is set up, and attack boosted, Gogoat can finish the opponent with a Grass Type ”Sacred Sword.”

Visualizing the scene in his mind of Gogoat gracefully dealing a fatal blow with Sacred Sword, Naoki called for a stop just in time:

”Alright, let’s leave it at that!”

The Gogoat stopped and uttered affectionate sounds:

”Baa~”

Naoki smiled, patting their heads: ”Go play!”

The Gogoat ran off, slowly strolling and grazing on the grass.

Watching their figures, Naoki took a deep breath, full of emotion.

The endearing little goats have grown up to stand on their own!

What made him even happier was that, apart from their strength gains, the post-evolution Gogoat also increased their production of goat milk.

Additionally, their milking cycle shortened from once every two days to once a day.

This way, the ranch could produce more goat milk daily, and earn more money.

The only thing unchanged was that the Gogoat still needed to dance off their excess energy...

In the evening, Zack came over to collect goods.

Looking at the full vat of milk, he showed surprise, ”Already started breeding Miltank?”

Naoki chuckled and said, ”Yeah! The Pokémon House was built earlier, and Miltank is a more stable source of income than Skiddo.”

Zack nodded in agreement, ”That indeed makes sense.”

He started the quality testing process, and the results shocked him.

”The quality is so high?!”
