Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 130: Chapter 106: Returning to the Nest

The storm almost covered the entire sky above the island.

To avoid affecting everyone on the island, the two Dragonites came to the sea outside.

Seeing this, Naoki quickly got up and rode on Koraidon to follow.

The other Dragonites and Dragonairs on the island also followed.

They all came to the edge of the island, standing on the cliff, gazing at the magnificent scene not far away.

The sky underwent dramatic changes, the storm swept over the sea, and the two Dragonites continued their battle in the storm.

The female Dragonite’s attacks were extremely fierce, and in the face of the storm, it also flapped its wings, unleashing an even more powerful Hurricane.

The situation, originally favorable for Dragonite, immediately turned around.

The fierce storm streaked across its body, but fortunately, the scales on its surface protected it from too much harm.

Dragonite gritted its teeth, imagining Naoki’s teachings, as a strong Electric Type Energy gathered in its body.

”Boom!”

A thunderclap exploded in the clouds above, terrifying lightning surging within them.

This sound gave the female Dragonite a shock, and it frowned, its body standing in the storm suddenly accelerated.

Before the lightning could strike, it charged towards Dragonite at lightning speed.

That was Extreme Speed!

The Thunder was interrupted, and Dragonite staggered from the collision, feeling momentarily dazed.

At that moment, the female Dragonite charged again.

With a move of Dragon Tail, it sent Dragonite flying onto the island.

The battle ended, and the dark clouds in the sky dispersed completely.

The female Dragonite slowly descended in front of Dragonite, looking at this suddenly formidable yet foolish Dragonite, it said:

”Roar!” (Though I don’t know what you’ve encountered recently, it’s still not enough!)

Dragonite did not feel discouraged for losing the battle, or rather, its original purpose for requesting the battle was to see its own growth.

But for now, as the opponent said, it’s still far from enough!

”Roar...” (When we get back, I must increase the practice of moves...)

Dragonite had already begun to plan its life after returning to the ranch.

Covered in wounds, it stood up from the ground, not feeling down at all, but full of fighting spirit.

The female Dragonite was drawn to Dragonite’s demeanor, giving a few more glances to this formerly clumsy Dragonite.

It seems its changes are quite significant?

No longer having that constantly gloomy and sorrowful look sitting blankly on the island.

At this moment, Dragonite had returned to Naoki’s side, seriously saying: ”Roar!” (Let’s go back!)

Naoki understood what Dragonite meant, looking at the female Dragonite behind them, finding that it was also looking this way.

Naoki raised an eyebrow slightly, not saying much, but turned around to bid farewell to the delicate and lovely Dratinis and Dragonairs by his side.

”I have to go, I’ll come play with you next time!”

If there is a next time, he’ll bring a bunch of Pokemon snacks to feed these cute little fellows.

Dragonite also waved its chubby paws to bid farewell to its companions on the island.

A few Dragonites watched this scene with envy, deeply moved by the human Trainer who could help them grow.

So, they exchanged glances and then proactively ran over.

”Roar!”

”Roar~”

”...”

Seeing their actions, Dragonite was instantly on high alert, pushing them back with its big paw.

”Roar!” (This is mine!)

One Dragonite resisted strongly: ”Roar!” (It could also be ours!)

”Roar!” (No way!)

But having just experienced two battles, Dragonite was now exhausted, ultimately unable to block those Dragonites, allowing them to charge in front of Naoki.

Looking at the three young Dragonites surrounding him with eager eyes, Naoki was quite surprised.

What does this mean?

Soon, Naoki thought of a possibility.

His heart moved, looking at the Dragonites in front of him, pondering, ”Do you want to come with us?”

”Awoo~”

The three Dragonite nodded repeatedly.

But just at that moment, Dragonite regained a bit of energy and ran over to hug Naoki tightly with its big claws.

Naoki: ”...”

Koraidon stood beside them, utterly speechless. It let out a loud roar, scaring off the three Dragonite, and then leisurely walked over to Naoki, signaling him to ride on its back.

Dragonite exchanged a glance with Koraidon, and in this matter, the two Pokemon rarely reached a consensus.

Regarding the three Dragonite that wanted to join, although Naoki was tempted, he still refused them.

Because he could guess their intentions for wanting to follow him.

That is, they wanted to become stronger like Dragonite.

However, the reason Dragonite has reached this point is entirely due to its own efforts; Naoki only provided a bit of guidance and advice.

His Dragonite is naive and easily convinced, can be arbitrarily pua’d, but other Dragonite might not be the same.

Moreover, suddenly having so many Dragonite that are big eaters joining, he really might not be able to afford them; just cooking meals every day would exhaust him half to death.

Of course, this doesn’t mean he’ll completely abandon this adorable group of Dragonite.

At least before creating meals that can help Dragonite grow...

Once the farm expands further, needing more delivery staff to help with shipments, then he can lure these Dragonite into working with those meals, establishing a Dragonite farm and Dragonite delivery company of his own.

Anyway, Dragon Island is right here; the Dragonite won’t run away.

Thinking of this, Naoki said to the three Dragonite, ”I understand your intentions, but I’m sorry, I can’t take you back with me now.”

”But don’t worry. Maybe by the next meeting, I’ll bring a way to help you become stronger. Until that day comes, please wait patiently here.”

The three Dragonite blinked their eyes and then happily nodded, agreeing.

At least this human hasn’t completely rejected them!

Dragonite have very long lifespans; they have ample time to wait for that day to come.

Looking at the group of Dragonite, Dragonair, and Dratini in front of him, Naoki wanted to say more, but was forcefully pulled away by Dragonite and Koraidon.

”Awoo!” (Okay, no more talking, it’s time to go home!)

Naoki sat on Koraidon’s back, waving goodbye to the dragons: ”Goodbye, Dragonair, Dratini!”

Dragon Island gradually disappeared from view, feeling the sea breeze blowing towards him, Naoki asked:

”Did you really like that Dragonite today?”

”Awoo...”

Under the setting sun, Dragonite gently nodded and then shook its head.

Although it likes the others, after experiencing life on the farm and witnessing that powerful and mysterious Pokemon with its own eyes, it no longer feels sad or hurt because of their rejection.

Just as Teddiursa said, this world is vast, with many things it can do.

For example, covering the entire world with its rain!

Dragonite faced the setting sun, letting out a passionate dragon roar, using all its strength to perform Rain Dance.

In mid-air, rolling clouds swept over, covering the vast sky.

A torrential downpour fell from them, raindrops stringing together, pattering onto the sea surface, merging into the ocean.

Dragonite flapped its wings, stirring currents, and soared freely amidst the rain.

Naoki and Koraidon got drenched, looking at Dragonite’s spirited figure, feeling a bit speechless.

”Seriously...”

Koraidon was very dissatisfied with Dragonite’s behavior of using Rain Dance anywhere and anytime.

It let out a loud roar, driving away the clouds in the sky, and the sunlight became increasingly intense.

Under this strong sunlight, Koraidon emanated intense crimson energy, continuously pulsating around it.

Well, performing Sunny Day even triggered Koraidon’s ability, causing crimson pulsations.

Naoki speechlessly raised his hand to call Dragonite back, stopping them from messing with the weather:

”Alright, restore the weather to its original state, otherwise, you’ll mess it up again.”

The strong sunlight dispersed, and the sky returned to the color of dusk.

The beautiful sunset dyed the entire sky red, reflecting in the sea and coloring it with a sunset hue.

The Kilowattrel and Pelipper that had been flying outside all day began to return home.

Gazing at that scene, Naoki couldn’t help but exclaim, ”How beautiful!”

The evening is approaching, it’s time to go home!
