Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 799: Chapter 602: Racing Against Time

The mentor training lasts for three months.

These three months are the most relaxed days for the trainees since participating in the King plan. There’s no competition, no fighting, no worry about being eliminated. Every day is nothing but classes and training, very fulfilling.

There are 37 mentors, each required to give two public lessons, each lasting two hours.

This is a mandatory requirement for all mentors.

In other words, there are a total of 74 public lessons.

The planning group first consulted the mentors’ opinions, and then, based on the mentors’ strengths, formulated a schedule.

Three days later, the public lessons began ahead of schedule.

The public lessons are not mandatory for trainees to attend, but Lin Feng went to every class.

He eagerly absorbed the knowledge and experience imparted by the mentors, gaining insights every day.

Although the mentors’ abilities vary, they all start from the Middle Rank King. Even if the attributes and combat professions were not aligned with Lin Feng’s own, he still gained insights and understanding. He would know how to deal with such enemies in the future.

If he missed such an opportunity, it would never come again.

Daytime was for mentor lectures, while evenings were for rest. During this time, Lin Feng was also soaking in various training halls.

The camp, once desolate, had been occupied by various training facilities within just two weeks.

Midnight.

Lin Feng was still inside a confined room.

The room was not large, only five square meters. The walls were grey-black, seemingly made of metal. Apart from a single camera, there was nothing else.

Lin Feng, shirtless and in boxer shorts, stood at the center of the room. The overwhelming gravitational pressure caused his veins to bulge, his heartbeat sounding like war drums. The accelerated blood flow turned his skin red, steaming, as his muscles trembled rhythmically.

”15 times gravity.”

Lin Feng’s eyes were bloodshot, a grim expression as he growled at the camera.

The next moment, the already terrifying gravity intensified again. Lin Feng’s body sank instantly, almost bringing him to his knees. After a few minutes, his reddened skin cracked open like shattered glass.

A dull thud suddenly resounded.

Four half-meter-long black steel pipes extended from the four corners of the room, tilted upwards towards the center, beginning to spray Nutrient Liquid.

A faint mist filled the room, making visibility hazy. The precious Nutrient Liquid seeped into Lin Feng’s body with each breath, continuously repairing his damaged body, nourishing every corner.

Constant damage, constant repair, constant enhancement. This process lasted for over an hour.

”Finish.”

Feeling dizzy and slightly disoriented, Lin Feng looked towards the camera and said.

There were still three minutes left until the next release of Nutrient Liquid. Although it was a pity, Lin Feng rationally decided to end the training. The gravity gradually lessened, and Lin Feng stood still for a while without leaving.

The rapid heartbeat gradually calmed. Lin Feng picked up his clothes from the floor, put them on, and came to the door of the Gravity Room.

With a ”ding,” the door of the Gravity Room opened, and Lin Feng walked out.

”What a coincidence.”

As Lin Feng stepped out of the Gravity Room, a familiar voice sounded. Ye Xing emerged from the Gravity Room labeled ”18,” located on the third door to the left of Lin Feng.

means that the room could reach up to 18 times gravity.

While Lin Feng’s room was 15, indicating a maximum of 15 times gravity.

The highest level of the Gravity Room is 20, gravity a King can withstand.

”Hmm, how long did you last?” Lin Feng asked as they walked.

”Two hours,” Ye Xing replied.

”Impressive,” Lin Feng praised, showing admiration.

He could only withstand 15 times gravity for 90 minutes, with a significant gap in physical constitution compared to Ye Xing.

”Nothing much,”

Ye Xing waved his hand modestly, though his tone carried a hint of pride.

Ye Xing wasn’t proud of the intensity or duration.

Although for a man, these two points are very important,

anyone can enter the Gravity Room, both trainees and assistants, with no restriction on level or time. If capable, one could spend 24 hours a day inside.

The Gravity Room can increase or decrease gravity.

When someone enters, the timing system starts. Every ten minutes, Nutrient Liquid is released. Persisting those ten extra minutes means earning an additional twenty to thirty million, which is Ye Xing’s source of pride.

The Nutrient Liquid is specially formulated for the trainees, infused with Essence of Life and various precious medicinal materials. It’s said that one pound of Nutrient Liquid is worth 2 billion New Coins.

Nutrient Liquid can enhance physical constitution and is beneficial for Demon Spirits. Absorbing Nutrient Liquid requires challenging the body’s limits; continual injury is needed for effective absorption. Merely dragging out time is meaningless, as the body will quickly become saturated.

”It’s a pity the mentor training is only three months; otherwise, I’d love to stay for a few years.”

Ye Xing lamented.

Just one gravity training session, lasting two hours, conservatively costs 300 million New Coins.

Not to mention for him, even the top financiers’ young masters couldn’t afford the training.

Ye Xing generally enters the Gravity Room once every three days, which is already his limit. Any higher frequency would be unbearable for his body.

Each session costs 300 million, and he does ten gravity sessions a month, costing 3 billion.

”You dream big,” Lin Feng laughed.

At this time, two and a half months had already passed since mentor training began.

After becoming an apprentice, resources from all over the world had started to be allocated, benefiting the trainees.

With 1,100 trainees, each training in the Gravity Room once every three days, in just a month, it would cost at least 2 trillion New Coins. And that’s just for the Gravity Room—the expenses for other training facilities are also enormous.

Forget a few years; it’s doubtful they could even last half a year.

Three months have already left Lin Feng extremely satisfied, beyond imagination.

Although he was still stuck at the Peak of Ninth Grade, his strength was increasing visibly every day, getting very close to King Becoming.

As the two chatted, a middle-aged man with a Western appearance hurried toward them.

”Tutor Jack.”

Lin Feng and Ye Xing leaned against the wall as the middle-aged man passed by, slightly bowing, showing respect.

The middle-aged man nodded, said nothing, and directly entered the now open door of Gravity Room 13, dragging a trainee covered in blood and flesh out shortly thereafter.

”Brutal!”

Ye Xing shook his head, quickly shifting his gaze, showing no trace of surprise on his face.

Such scenes were common for him.

Every day, trainees were injured trying to stay in the Gravity Room for a few more minutes, just to enjoy the Nutrient Liquid once more.

No need to worry about injuries; at most, they’d stay in bed for a few more days. Staff monitors trainee safety through cameras in the Gravity Room, and therapists are on standby outside around the clock, ensuring no mortal danger.

Trainees can train to their limits, constantly squeezing out potential and challenging physical limits.

Of course, getting so injured just to enjoy the Nutrient Liquid once more assures that, even with a mentor’s treatment, they wouldn’t enter the Gravity Room again any time soon, possibly missing mentor courses, obviously not worth the loss.

”Where are you heading later?” Ye Xing asked.

Beep beep...

Occasionally, the Gravity Room doors opened, trainees emerging. Those unfamiliar with Ye Xing and Lin Feng ignored them, while the ones familiar just nodded without stopping for pleasantries, rushing as if hurried with something urgent.

”To the Combat Hall, and you?”

The Combat Hall, as the name suggests, is a place to hone combat skills.

Trainees can choose their opponents there and engage in combat with people from various Combat Professions.

Occasionally, mentors would come by, and strong, lucky trainees might get the chance to have a mentor as a sparring partner.

”I’m going to the Activation Hall. Today’s training made my body feel a bit fatigued, possibly from internal injuries. I’m going to activate my cellular activity.”

Ye Xing said, followed by a sigh:

”I heard two more people became kings yesterday; in two and a half months, 27 have become kings.”

The trainees who have already become kings have not graduated. Some Martial Kings are working hard to condense their Life Soul, and some Spirit Kings are striving to open their Pocket World, aiming to reach the Double King Realm. Those on a single path are also trying to break through from Lower Rank King to Middle Rank King.

Kings are still working hard; the stronger they are, the longer their cultivation, the more challenging their training, the more resources they receive.

”Barring any accidents, the third plan will start after the mentor training ends. There are 11 days left.”

Lin Feng said, his voice laced with urgency.

In 11 days, the third plan is set to begin, where they’ll start eliminating trainees.

They’ll have to compete with those who have already become kings. Competing for resources, competing for the qualification to stay.

Upon exiting the training facility, Lin Feng and Ye Xing parted ways.

From meeting to leaving the Gravity Room only took two minutes. Even while chatting, they didn’t stop walking.

The three-month course was nearing its end, and all trainees were racing against time to cultivate, compressing their sleep and rest as much as possible, all to strive for as many resources as possible.

All for the sake of Becoming King!
