Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 778: Chapter 584: Threefold Frenzy

The moment the examination began, the crowd became exceptionally chaotic.

Over a thousand students scattered in a hurry.

Under the Golden Ladder, some students were pushed to the ground and immediately trampled by countless feet, powerless to resist, only able to curl up and shield their heads.

The students all sprinted against the clock, afraid of falling behind.

Such chaos on the scene also led to the outbreak of conflicts.

Accompanied by intense energy fluctuations, soul skills and martial skills occasionally burst forth, yet all the students were rational, neither overemphasizing victory nor wallowing in defeat.

Some students leaped into the sky by flapping wings to avoid the crowd, intending to use a fast track, but soon returned to the ground to climb the ladder.

To maintain order in the mentor assessment, each mentor’s examination site was shrouded in an invisible force, even the Golden Ladder was wrapped in it, allowing only ascent from the bottom.

”I’ll go first.”

Ye Xing charged towards the northwest direction immediately.

As he ran, a strong white light burst forth from his body, his muscles began to ripple, his body swelled and enlarged, his arms and thighs became extremely robust, muscles appeared extremely prominent, like small hills.

Accompanied by a series of cracking sounds from his bones, Ye Xing’s body shot up sharply, his shoulders broad and round, towering at two and a half meters like a small giant.

His face became somewhat swollen, his eye sockets slightly sunken, his brown eyes exuding a trace of frenzy, the two exposed canines resembling tusks, adding a grim and fierce look to his originally oppressive appearance.

He charged like a tank, forcing his way through one student after another, causing a commotion and curses.

By the time Ye Xing arrived under Gustav’s Celestial Ladder, two minutes had already passed.

”So many people.”

Ye Xing looked up, his face changing slightly.

Even with the advantage in size from his Demon Transformation and sprinting at top speed, there were still over a dozen figures ahead of him, with the foremost figure already leaping onto the examination site.

Not daring to waste time, Ye Xing quickly stepped, squatting down sharply when about twenty to thirty steps from the last, and leaped up directly.

”Such intense gravity.”

Just stepping off the last rung, appearing above the examination site, a massive gravitational force pulled Ye Xing’s body down swiftly, landing heavily on an invisible ground.

Though the ground was invisible, Ye Xing could feel it denting underfoot.

Looking down, Ye Xing could clearly see the densely packed crowd beneath.

And directly ahead of him, about a hundred meters away, Mentor Gustav silently stood.

The floating war drum lay right in front of Gustav.

As long as he could hit this war drum, the examination would be considered successful.

Standing in place, Ye Xing felt the immense pressure causing the surrounding space to become viscous, like being trapped in semi-solid concrete, pressure pressing in from all sides.

This terrifying pressure originated from the Sea Dragon Whale’s phantom behind Gustav.

”Sea Dragon Whale.”

This was Ye Xing’s first time observing an Extraordinary’s Life Soul so closely.

Even though the Life Soul was not fully materialized, merely a phantom, it still shook him and made him tremble.

”So many people.”

Ye Xing didn’t waste time, forging ahead while looking around.

Over twenty people already surrounded him, while more students continuously emerged behind.

Faced with the tempting offer of mentorship from the world’s top Frenzy Warrior, despite knowing the examination’s difficulty level was high and competition would be fierce, no one wanted to give up easily.

These rivals were all familiar faces, top-tier students.

And at the very forefront, advancing ahead, was Nikita, already a King and known as the Son of the Titans.

Coming from the Russian Federation, Nikita was well-known, currently situated within his Life Soul.

With his Life Soul’s assistance, his speed was five to six times that of others, having already advanced twenty to thirty meters.

And not far behind him was another person also situated within his Life Soul, though his Life Soul was more blurry.

”Damn it, a King and a Half-Step King.”

Ye Xing couldn’t help but curse.

Among the students, Kings and Half-Step Kings were sparse, known to be fewer than ten, yet there were already two here.

The number of available slots immediately decreased by two, inevitably sparking anger and anxiety.

And two meters to the right front, Ye Xing also noticed an extremely familiar figure, his former captain in the Glory Alliance, Chen Junhao.

Both were of the Berserker occupation; thus, Ye Xing wasn’t surprised with Chen Junhao’s appearance, just more worried.

Though he had reached the Ninth Grade, compared to Chen Junhao, who had long reached the Peak of Ninth Grade and prepared for King Becoming for years, his strength still fell short.

”Ye Xing.”

Chen Junhao also spotted Ye Xing, recognizing him instantly, for the striking ’Green Hat’ was so unique and eye-catching.

Upon noticing Ye Xing, his expression appeared calm, though a complex flicker crossed his eyes.

Previously, he had intended for Ye Xing to become his assistant.

At that time, however, Ye Xing had already joined the Vengeful Alliance and no longer seemed as obedient as before.

Additionally, due to conflicts with Yun Tianqi and Zhao Zhou, he replaced his candidate choice with Xie Yixiao.

He never expected that a once-protected little brother would one day become his competitor, vying for the same mentor.

Time was pressing, and although they both noticed one another, there was no reaction.
