Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 776: Chapter 583: Ranking

Alice’s assessment topic sparked heated discussions among the trainees, who felt the difficulty level was too high.

High difficulty is not impossible, but with her Middle Rank Spirit King strength, she seems to be overestimating herself a bit.

Although it seemed this way, not many people took it to heart.

After all, Alice is just a Middle Rank Spirit King and not really a popular tutor.

Only some trainees with average talent and strength but with Emperor backgrounds showed flickering eyes and felt a bit more at ease.

Having heard some insider news, they considered Alice as the last fallback option for a tutor.

”Haha.”

Upon hearing Alice’s assessment topic, Alfonso, who was a kilometer away, let out a sneer.

In response to his sneer, two werewolves shivered, their eyes full of terror.

Alfonso had actually guessed Alice’s purpose in becoming a tutor long ago.

If it were some exceptionally gifted trainees with Emperor backing, he might be wary of them.

After all, no matter how strong he was, he didn’t want to offend multiple Emperors at once.

But with Alice’s Middle Rank Spirit King strength and the seemingly Divine Skill but actually low-value ”Second Incarnation” Secret Skill, how could she attract quality trainees?

Alice’s good looks and popularity were certainly appealing to male trainees.

But when faced with the opportunity to become a King and future development, which trainee would truly care about her looks?

The trainees wanting to apprentice under Alice merely wanted to become someone’s apprentice and not get eliminated.

Eight out of ten are likely trainees with bottom-tier strength and talent.

Such trainees have limited potential, and even if they become Kings, they are just ordinary Kings and can’t represent their families or gain Emperor favor.

Without sufficient benefits, no Emperor would go against him.

Alice’s thought process was not wrong, but she overestimated those trainees.

After explaining her assessment rules, Alice sensed Alfonso’s gaze. Although they were far apart, the chill in his presence was so clear.

She could even vaguely smell that mixed foul odor on Alfonso.

This made her body a bit stiff, feeling both cold and disgusted.

Suppressing the feeling of disgust, Alice’s gaze overlooked the trainees below, and with her vision, she could clearly see the confusion and disdain on their faces.

It was obvious that no one was interested in becoming her apprentice. Even if someone was, they only considered her a ’backup option.’

Alice was self-aware of this and wouldn’t be upset.

”Sigh.”

Alice maintained a calm expression, sighing inwardly.

She also understood that, in the eyes of trainees, her assessment topic was just a joke, but it was a helpless act.

It was the only hope she could think of.

Even if the hope was very slim.

Out of 37 tutors, 31 had already introduced their assessment topics, leaving six King Tutors.

Although it wasn’t over yet, most trainees were no longer interested in paying attention to the remaining six tutors, instead whispering about how to arrange their priorities.

The order of tutor assessments directly affects the success rate of becoming an apprentice.

One wrong prioritization could result in failure, making all previous efforts in vain.

For the trainees, being able to apprentice under their desired first tutor is naturally the best.

But the more popular the tutor, the fiercer the competition. Even if a trainee is confident in passing the tutor’s assessment, with too many strong competitors, there’s still a significant risk of failure.

After all, a tutor can only accept fifteen students; once they’re full, that’s it. Excluding those with three invitation cards, there might only be twelve slots.

Additionally, one must consider the consumption of Soul Power and Qi and Blood, as well as the risk of injury.

One careless move, and they could lose it all.

As for the trainees’ helpers, it’s up to the trainees to decide, and tutors won’t intervene nor have the right to do so according to the rules.

This is a moment for trainees to assess their choices.

Recognize their own strength and recognize the opponent’s strength.

”Originally, we had nine target tutors. Now the plan has changed. Deducting Yun Kai and the three with invitation cards, and not counting myself, we should ensure a focus on five tutors first!”

Lin Feng was also discussing the prioritization issue with his teammates at this moment.

Even though they had the advantage of numbers, to ensure they could apprentice under their desired tutors, they couldn’t be careless.

”Ye Xing’s desired tutor is Gustav.”

”Yun Tianqi’s is Miyamoto Tenshu.”

”Yu Qiao’s is Leng Feng.”

”Yue Mingming’s is Curtis.”

”Yang Ningbing’s is Reimer.”

Lin Feng quickly said.

Originally, Zhan Tianyu wanted to apprentice under Alfonso, but due to the high risk of the assessment, he had to give up and replaced it with Yang Ningbing apprenticing under Reimer.

”Leng Feng’s tutor assessment can be tackled together, which saves time. Whether one succeeds in becoming an apprentice shouldn’t take long to determine. Dean Bu, your perception ability is the strongest; you assist Yu Qiao in passing the assessment first. If Yu Qiao fails, you try it yourself. Secure Leng Feng first.”

Lin Feng looked at Bu Zheng.

Bu Zheng didn’t have a favored tutor, making him the best support this time.

Bu Zheng remained calm, slightly nodding, and Yu Qiao grinned widely at this moment.

It felt great to have strong backing.

No wonder Little Sister Dong and Lin Xiaofei liked having strong backers so much before.

”Reimer’s assessment is highly difficult; as the strongest Thunder Technique among the tutors, the competition will be intense. If Yang Ningbing can’t hold on, Dong Yunan, you go up and help.”

Lin Feng said to Dong Yunan.

Dong Yunan nodded repeatedly.

Originally thought the tutor assessment had nothing to do with him or herself; just hanging onto one powerful leg would suffice, but unexpectedly, they could still play a part.
