I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 126: Chapter 112: Green Seven-Star Set (Part 2)

Another customer chose the newly arrived spanner crabs. Hearing that the largest one was just over a jin, he ordered two.

Yi Chen got up, scooped the two largest ones out of the fish tank to weigh them, then filmed a short video of the weight and sent it over.

They weighed 2.6 jin, which came to 338 at 130 per jin.

Since they had already agreed on the price, the customer was straightforward after seeing the video and transferred the money directly.

”Boss, the customer placed the order. How should we ship these two crabs?”

”Hmm? What about shipping? Is it far?”

”He said to do cash on delivery via express shipping. He’s just in the next city over.”

”Oh, that’s fine then!”

Spanner crabs are quite delicate and don’t survive long out of water. If it was just the next city over, that was fine; they would arrive tomorrow.

Gu Nan found the number of an express courier he knew and called him for a pickup. Then he found a small styrofoam box, placed the spanner crabs inside, and packed them.

He poked two holes in the top of the styrofoam box so the spanner crabs wouldn’t suffocate inside.

For now, it was just the occasional order. If the number of shipments increased in the future, he would need to get some custom-made small plastic containers.

With that taken care of, Yi Chen started preparing dinner.

She then discovered that under the spanner crab’s shell, it was full of meat and roe, just like other portunid or mud crabs. It actually seemed to have more than a regular crab. It wasn’t like she had imagined, where you only ate the meat in the tail.

In fact, the tail, like on other crabs, had to be removed.

’In that case,’ she thought, ’over a hundred a jin doesn’t seem that expensive after all.’

A little after five in the evening, Gu Nan had already finished dinner. He contentedly set down the crab shell and got up to wash his hands.

The spanner crab was indeed delicious. Gu Nan felt it was even better than ordinary mud crabs—the meat was tender, fresh, and sweet, and most importantly, the yield was high.

It was a pity the ones they ate today were relatively small. He should be able to catch bigger ones after buying the Blue Seven-Star Set. He would have to try them again then.

As evening fell, Gu Nan naturally had to go out to sea.

He now had 5,250 Gold Coins, less than a thousand away from the Green Set.

The Fengqi Coast Elite Quest I was about to be completed. The 1,500 Gold Coin reward would be more than enough.

Arriving at the boat, Gu Nan first filled the fishing boat’s tank, which cost him over seven thousand.

He was spending money like water today. His savings were suddenly down to just 23,000.

He opened his phone and checked a fishing group chat to see if there were any good fishing reports.

Sometimes, when a large school of fish appeared somewhere, someone would post about it in the group.

Fishing spots had to be kept secret, but the occasional school of fish could be shared. Even if many people showed up, it wouldn’t affect anyone’s individual catch.

However, after standing on the deck for a while, Gu Nan noticed that the sea breeze seemed a bit strong today.

He opened a tide app to check the evening’s weather, wave height, and wind force.

It turned out there might be light rain in the evening, but his boat could handle it. The wind and waves weren’t a big problem.

But Gu Nan didn’t want to get soaked by the rain this time. He made a special trip back home on his scooter to grab his dedicated fishing rain jacket and pants, along with his rain boots and waterproof sun hat.

Fully equipped, he set out!

The fishing boat slowly left the dock. Its speed gradually increased as it reached the open waterway.

Gu Nan first went to his initial fishing spot to catch fish from the Fengqi Coast.

The Fengqi Coast was still his primary map. Not only was its Elite Fish Guide not fully unlocked, but the fish he sold in his shop were also almost all from this map.

So, Gu Nan immediately used up all of his guaranteed daily catches for the day.

Soon, all twenty-one fish were caught, and he successfully unlocked another elite fish.

The Areolate Grouper, also known as the true Oily Grouper, looked very similar to the fake Oily Grouper he had caught by chance last time.

But the Oily Grouper was much more expensive, priced at 180 a jin, and its flavor rating was as high as six stars.

Just like Tiger Stripes, the Oily Grouper from the game was an import from Southeast Asia. It was a four-star fish, yielding a reward of 1,000 Gold Coins—just enough to buy the green Seven-Star four-piece rod set.

Gu Nan bought it immediately. He then discovered that his daily quests, which previously numbered three, had instantly increased to five. The subsequent experience and Gold Coin rewards had also increased significantly.

He glanced at Elite Quest I; he still needed nine more fish.

The bonus for rare fish was quite high now. With twenty-one daily attempts, the appearance rate of two-star fish wasn’t very high.

Furthermore, the Elite Fish Guide was almost completely unlocked, with only the tenth and twelfth slots remaining empty.

Once the seafood for these two slots was unlocked, Gu Nan would have the chance to challenge the final elite BOSS.

Therefore, Gu Nan decided to keep fishing here. When it was about time, he would head to Sanlian Reef to complete today’s daily quests.

He flicked his rod lightly. After waiting for the metal jig to sink to the bottom, he reeled in a bit of line, then twitched the rod tip gently.

Without any guaranteed catches, the wait was a bit long this time. After two or three minutes, the rod tip finally bent with a WHOOSH.

SWOOSH—

Gu Nan yanked the rod hard, successfully setting the hook.

The rod tip, which had only been trembling slightly, began to shake violently. Clearly, the fish below was putting up a fierce struggle.

The fish pulled hard, and the feel was fantastic. Gu Nan lifted the rod with all his strength, entering a stalemate with the fish below.

About half a minute later, the Power transmitted through the rod began to weaken.

Gu Nan began to crank the reel handle. Whenever he met resistance, he would haul back on the rod. After about a minute of this, he managed to pull the fish to the surface.

A brightly colored green wrasse. His eyes lit up. ’Did I unlock a new entry in the guide?’

However, when he opened the guide, there was nothing. It was just a common parrotfish from the local waters. Although it was also called a green wrasse on the market, it was actually a ”fake” one.

He was a little disappointed, but the fish was about two or three jin, which wasn’t too bad.
