I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 104: Chapter 98: Wreaking Havoc on the Fish Behind the Boss’s Back

In the Tail Reef Area, three beautiful women chatted and laughed as they carried their small buckets back.

By the time An Jun and Ye Jing were about to head over, the women were more or less finished, and their haul was pretty decent.

Yi Chen’s bucket was the fullest. It held not only a small green crab weighing about half a pound, but also two swimming crabs of similar size.

She also had some sea urchins and sea snails, making her haul the most bountiful.

After a bit of searching, Jin Enfei and Xu Zhina both started prying open oysters.

Influenced by short-form videos online, they believed oysters were a great aphrodisiac for men and planned to have their men ”recharge” that night.

But before they started gathering seafood, Jin Enfei had taken out her special equipment. She mounted her phone on a gimbal and began to film herself foraging.

Yi Chen, who saw this, watched with great interest. She was still figuring out how to shoot videos on her own. Although someone had given her a shout-out, her view count was still low, so she decided to learn from how Jin Enfei filmed.

”Hellooo, everyone, it’s your Enfei~~”

That first line, delivered in a slightly forced, cutesy voice, made Yi Chen’s expression freeze. ’Do you really have to talk like that to film a video?’

Thinking about all the creators online who used that kind of voice, she realized that as long as it wasn’t too over-the-top, a lot of people seemed to like it.

If it was too forced, it just came off as fake and made people uncomfortable.

Yi Chen watched for a while. Only after Jin Enfei finished filming a segment and focused on prying open oysters did she run off to a spot further ahead.

When they returned to the beach, Yi Chen saw her start filming again.

Yi Chen didn’t interrupt, just watched quietly.

Jin Enfei naturally began sharing her haul with the camera as if talking to a friend, making sure to keep her face and figure in the frame the entire time.

That practiced, chatty style seemed so much better than her own boring filming method.

Once Jin Enfei finished filming, Yi Chen quickly went over to ask for advice. ”Enfei, are you filming a video to upload online?”

Jin Enfei nodded. ”Yep. I usually share bits of my daily life and talk about things like makeup and fashion. I post on YouTube, TikTok, and Bilibili.”

”Actually, I post videos too, but my stats aren’t great. Could you teach me how to film in a more engaging way?” Yi Chen immediately asked.

Although An Jun was a content creator, he clearly hadn’t done much research in this area, so he couldn’t offer much advice.

”Oh, you make videos too? Can I see them first?” Jin Enfei was surprised for a moment, then her interest was piqued.

However, after she followed Yi Chen’s account and saw that her videos were about selling and introducing fish, her expression turned strange!

”This is what you make?” she asked, pointing at the video with a look of disbelief.

”Is there a problem? Are they filmed poorly?” Yi Chen asked, a little embarrassed.

For a moment, Jin Enfei didn’t know what to say.

’A girl this beautiful is selling fish?’

Jin Enfei was actually quite envious of her large eyes, her beautifully shaped lips, and her milky-white skin.

She herself had gotten double eyelid surgery, and her usual makeup style leaned toward a mature, alluring look.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to try other styles; they just didn’t suit her.

Yi Chen’s eyes were large and bright. Jin Enfei even leaned in for a closer look and discovered she wasn’t even wearing colored contacts.

’Her eyes are that big without contacts?’

She was truly so envious!

’With such great looks, if she made some beauty-focused videos, she might get noticed by an entertainment company and have a chance to become a star, right?’

’So what the hell is up with selling fish!’

Glancing at the fishing boat in the distance and Gu Nan, who was still fishing, she had a sudden realization. ”Are you trying to film videos to promote your boyfriend’s shop and turn it into a viral seafood store?”

She had found out what Gu Nan did when she came over, but because there were three couples on the boat, she assumed their relationship was the same as hers and the others, leading to a wonderful misunderstanding.

Hearing this, Yi Chen quickly explained, ”You’ve misunderstood. I’m an employee at the shop, and Gu Nan is the owner.”

”Huh?”

Jin Enfei was completely baffled. But Xu Zhina, who had been listening from the side, chimed in with a tease, ”She’s an employee now, but that doesn’t mean she won’t be the boss’s wife in the future!”

”Nana, what are you talking about...” The two words ”boss’s wife” made Yi Chen’s heart skip a beat. Being misunderstood was one thing; she could just explain it.

But being teased like this made her face flush crimson, like a fiery sunset cloud.

Jin Enfei had a flash of insight. ”Oh, I see. No wonder you insisted on filming videos about selling fish instead of anything else.”

Xu Zhina chimed in, continuing the joke, ”That’s right, it’s all for Gu Nan!”

”Ah! Nana, you’re still going!”

Yi Chen couldn’t take it anymore and lunged at Xu Zhina, starting a playful scuffle to hide her shyness and embarrassment.

But running around in the hot weather made them sweaty, so after a moment of roughhousing, they returned to the shade of the beach umbrella that had been set up.

By now, Jin Enfei already had a preliminary idea for Yi Chen’s fish-selling videos.

First, she asked, ”Yi Chen, do you know how to cook?”

This was something Yi Chen was confident about. She nodded repeatedly. ”I’m in charge of cooking at the shop. Gu Nan and An Jun, who drops by occasionally, both think my cooking is pretty good.”

”I heard on the boat earlier that Gu Nan is often out fishing instead of at the shop. That makes things easy. I think you could plan a video series around the theme of ’employee secretly cooks the boss’s fish while he’s away.’”

”It’ll have a narrative element, and everyone loves watching ’employee messes with the boss’ videos. You can introduce the fish and then cook it into a delicious meal. The most important thing is that the plating has to be beautiful and photogenic. It needs to look delicious at first glance.”
