His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1942: Chapter 557: Chen Ge Goes to the Beauty Salon (Part 3)

”Why wouldn’t there be anywhere to go? Hiking, watching the sea, how romantic!”

The old man immediately disagreed and said to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu smiled after hearing this: ”That sounds pretty reasonable, but for the two of us, let’s just forget it!”

Qin Mu glanced at Mu Yichen, shook her head with a hint of indescribable difficulty, and her smile seemed a bit forced.

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes gazed at her, and seeing her smile lifted his spirits, he pulled her into his arms: ”Want to go hiking with me? Watch the sea?”

”I didn’t say that, Grandpa did!”

Qin Mu immediately retorted.

”Don’t argue, it’s written in your eyes. How about I accompany you tomorrow?”

Mu Yichen immediately said, then started reaching for his phone to call his secretary to rearrange his schedule.

”No! Absolutely not! I’m busy tomorrow. The shop I’ve prepared for Mingzhu is being renovated; I have to go have a look. Besides, you, as the big boss, are always so busy.”

Qin Mu gazed at him for a moment and started to banter with him without giving an inch.

”Be careful when using those three words to insult me!”

Mu Yichen said to her in a good-natured manner.

Qin Mu...

”You two, really a pair of clowns, who will play chess with me?”

”Why don’t the three of us play poker instead?”

Qin Mu suddenly suggested.

Mu Yichen turned to look at her; after all, it was he who taught her how to play poker, yet she was terrible at it.

”Poker sounds good!”

The old man immediately agreed, suddenly realizing that constantly playing chess was quite boring, after all, it was a game for two, and there were currently three people at home.

After playing cards for a while, Qin Mu checked the time: ”It’s time to pick up Huanhuan!”

”Yeah! I’ll go with you!”

Mu Yichen nodded.

”You rascal, can’t you pick up Huanhuan alone? Do you need to drag my granddaughter-in-law along?”

The old man wasn’t happy when he heard that.

”This is something you might not know, Huanhuan likes it when her mom and dad pick her up together!”

Mu Yichen said as he stood up, looking rather pleased.

The old man snorted and then knowingly glanced at his grandson.

”Grandpa! We’re off!”

Qin Mu also got up; in fact, she was rather keen to pick up Huanhuan.

”Alright! Go on! Be careful on the road!”

The old man spoke to Qin Mu much more warmly.

However, today when Huanhuan saw the two of them coming to pick her up, she felt a bit disappointed. She had her own little plans in mind; if her grandparents didn’t come, she had no choice but to go home. Huanhuan kept this to herself, thinking that some words could only be said to her grandparents to avoid hurting the pride of the people picking her up.

When getting in the car, Huanhuan sighed, obviously lamenting her own troubles; she was sad but still had to consider her parents’ feelings.

But Qin Mu didn’t know, she just couldn’t help frowning slightly when she heard Huanhuan sigh: ”Mu Chenghuan, were you unhappy at school?”

”No!”

Huanhuan immediately shook her head.

Qin Mu observed her expression; it didn’t seem like there was nothing wrong, but since she didn’t want to say, Qin Mu didn’t probe further.

Mu Yichen was driving in front; Huanhuan, worried about their suspicions, started reciting ancient poems in the car, her recitation animated and vibrant.

Qin Mu thought back to the ancient poems she learned as a child, feeling like she gave them all back to the teacher just after going abroad for less than two years.

In the evening, the whole family was happily dining in the dining room, just as the old man had expected, it started raining heavily outside.

Huanhuan ran to Feng Fanghua, whispering: ”Grandma, can you pick me up tomorrow? Don’t let mom and dad come!”

Feng Fanghua looked at her precious granddaughter with confusion: ”Why?”

”Shh! Don’t let them hear!”

After all, she was still young, and although her voice was low, others still heard it.

Feng Fanghua nodded: ”We’ll talk about it secretly later.”

Huanhuan, seeing her grandma understood her meaning, nodded in a knowing manner and returned to her seat to eat.

Qin Mu felt a bit upset inside, comforting herself: It’s all my fault for not spending enough time with her, that’s why she’s not attached to me! It’s all my fault! Not her fault!

Mu Yichen was even more clueless, wondering why he was being avoided when he kindly went to pick her up.

Yet, not going to pick up Huanhuan tomorrow was also good; he could spend more time with Qin Mu.

After dinner, Huanhuan wanted her grandma to accompany her for a bath, then quietly told her why she didn’t want her parents to pick her up. Feng Fanghua whispered: ”You can tell your mom and dad, you know, they’ll accompany you too!”

”No way, they’re both so boring, they’ll definitely say my stuff is trivial and rush me home to do homework!”

Qin Mu quietly stood by her daughter’s bathroom door, feeling a pang of bitterness as she listened to that conversation.

It turned out she was such a boring person!

Thinking about it, only Mu Yichen didn’t mind her! What a pity! How embarrassing!

”Ha! You little girl, you know them pretty well! Grandma will pick you up tomorrow, okay?”

Feng Fanghua patted Huanhuan’s little cheek, looking at her with a face full of love.

The sounds inside grew happier, and Qin Mu, after quietly leaving the room, encountered her husband at the door.

Mu Yichen looked at her with a hint of disappointment in her eyes and curiously asked: ”Why aren’t you happy?”

”Nothing! I just think I’m quite boring!”

Qin Mu tried to express that this was her own thought.

”Hmm! It’s good to have that realization! Want to improve?”

Mu Yichen asked her gently, like a professor.

Of course, Qin Mu wanted to! She nodded right away.

”Come to the room, I’ll teach you!”

Even though Mu Yichen seemed serious, Qin Mu had a feeling that his teaching was different from what she imagined.

”What do you want to teach me?”

Qin Mu was still puzzled as she was pushed into the room.

”Teach you to be interesting!”

Closing the door and locking it, Mu Yichen took Qin Mu directly towards the bathroom.

Qin Mu was pushed in, moving reluctantly, her mind in a daze, but...

She seemed to recall Mu Yichen’s tricks.

He was definitely up to no good.

Qin Mu thought: ”I don’t want to learn anymore, is that okay?”

”Of course not! You’re too boring; your daughter is starting to alienate you!”

Mu Yichen said with determination, and Qin Mu, hearing his tone, felt like he was their university professor, every word meant for her good.

However...
