His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1909: Chapter 548: Just Happened to Be in the Mood Today

He even knew today was the day her period flow was the heaviest. Qin Mu watched him patiently take care of her, her heart feeling a bit guilty: ”You don’t have to do this?”

”Though I can’t promise I’ll take care of you like this every time, today happens to be a good day for it!”

Mu Yichen brought the small table to the bed and then served breakfast one by one.

Qin Mu chuckled at his actions. She knew well enough that he couldn’t take care of her like this every time, but did he have to be so full of himself?

After breakfast, the two pushed aside their work plans and decided to go home. However, on their way, they received a call from the Qin Family’s servant.

”Miss, the second miss is about to give birth, and we can’t reach Mr. Wang. Please hurry to the hospital!”

”I’ll go right away, tell her not to be nervous.”

After taking the call, Qin Mu urgently turned to Mu Yichen: ”To the hospital, Mingzhu is about to give birth!”

Mu Yichen immediately turned the car around and headed towards the hospital. Qin Mu quickly found Helian Hao’s phone number on her mobile.

”Mingzhu is about to give birth. She should be already at your hospital!”

”I’ll head there right away!”

Helian Hao was in the middle of a meeting in her office when she received the call. Without needing Qin Mu to say more, she hurriedly left. The leaders in the office looked at her in confusion. Coming from an affluent background with a special status, no one dared to reprimand her, though some still rolled their eyes.

”There’s a pregnant woman coming!”

A moment later, Helian Hao reached the door and turned back to remind everyone, prompting another doctor to stand up: ”Then let’s hurry!”

Helian Hao smiled secretly and quickly followed her to the maternity ward, thinking of how nervous the girl Qin Mingzhu must be. Although she’d given birth once before, she surely was still scared.

Sure enough, when she arrived, she heard Qin Mingzhu shouting that she didn’t want to give birth, not wanting to. Helian Hao quickly ran to her bedside.

”Xiaohao? Oh no! I’m going to die! What to do? I’m really going to die, aren’t I?”

Dazed, Qin Mingzhu burst into tears upon seeing Helian Hao.

”Die? Of course not! You’ve given birth before. With me here, and Qin Mu on her way, there’s nothing you should be afraid of. Just listen to me!”

Helian Hao said, holding her hand, then looked up at her assistant: ”Help secure her hand!”

The assistant quickly tied her hand, and Qin Mingzhu looked up at their quick movements in fear, glaring at Helian Hao: ”Why did you tell them to tie me?”

”With you moving around like this, what if you jump off the bed later?”

Helian Hao replied, as another doctor, clad in a fresh outfit and donning sterile gloves, walked in.

”I’ll deliver her baby. You should head out!”

”She can’t go! She needs to stay here with me!”

Qin Mingzhu lifted her head with effort, barely recognizing the doctor, stubbornly asserting.

”I’m staying here with her. You do your thing!”

Helian Hao was a cesarean doctor, not as adept at delivery compared to the doctor in front of them.

”Why isn’t Qin Mu here yet? I’m going to die; if she doesn’t come, I can only leave my last words with you!”

Qin Mingzhu began to cry again. Watching Xiaohao take such good care of her, she felt chastised; there was a time when she and Helian Hao were enemies, always siding with Jing Qing while Helian Hao always stood by Qin Mu.

”Don’t say unlucky things, and don’t cry aimlessly. Getting too tired to give birth later would be troublesome!”

The doctor, though stern, meant well.

When Qin Mu and Mu Yichen arrived, the maternity ward’s door was tightly shut. Qin Mu thought for a moment and then sought out a nurse. Ten minutes later, she was inside the ward too, where the baby’s head was just emerging.

Helian Hao whispered to Qin Mu: ”Still unable to reach Wang Huanyu?”

”He’s probably busy with work!”

Qin Mu replied quietly, seeing the tears streaking Qin Mingzhu’s face as she pushed herself to try hard. Qin Mu’s heart ached; she understood that Mingzhu hadn’t endured much suffering over the years, but now...

”Qin Mu, is that you? Qin Mu!”

Upon hearing the voice, Qin Mingzhu clutched the handle overhead tightly and yelled for Qin Mu, who quickly moved forward: ”It’s me! Don’t worry, the baby is almost here!”

”Don’t keep calling Huanyu; don’t distract him!”

Qin Mingzhu croakily instructed Qin Mu.

Qin Mu nodded: ”Got it!”

Once so stubborn, spoiled by the Qin Family, feared by none at home, and treated indulgently outside—there came a day when Qin Mingzhu actually feared others worrying for her.

Qin Mu gently wiped the sweat from her forehead, then instinctively glanced towards her legs.
