His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1923: Chapter 552: President Mu Stands Up Mrs. Mu (Second Update)

”What did you just say?”

Qin Mu asked again.

”I said, have you and brother-in-law made up?”

Qin Mingzhu reluctantly answered her, knowing that Qin Mu wanted to change the subject, but the more Qin Mu pretended to be calm in front of her, the more upset she felt.

”We’ve always been great!”

That self-deception truly fooled her own heart.

Seeing her like that, Qin Mingzhu couldn’t help but hug her tightly around the waist.

”Sis, stop thinking about Dad. He’s gone, but we sisters have to carry on well. You were the one who told me this.”

As Qin Mingzhu hugged her, she started choking up and eventually broke down in tears.

”Hey! If you keep doing this, I’m going to run away!”

Qin Mu was frightened; if the elders saw this, they might think she was leading Qin Mingzhu in mourning.

But Qin Mingzhu wouldn’t stop crying, making Qin Mu’s heart feel chaotic: ”I have something to tell you.”

Qin Mingzhu was still crying.

”Didn’t you say you wanted to open a bookstore last time?”

Qin Mingzhu stopped crying.

”Mu Yichen rented a place next to our fashion store that can be converted into a bookstore.”

”What?”

Qin Mingzhu looked up, stunned.

”Do you want it?”

Qin Mu asked her.

”Yes! Of course, I want it!”

Qin Mingzhu nodded immediately, not needing to think twice. If Mu Yichen bought the store, its location and size must be excellent.

Seeing her reaction, Qin Mu couldn’t help but laugh, and Qin Mingzhu also laughed, saying, ”You’re so annoying! Giving such a big surprise without saying anything earlier.”

”This isn’t for you; it’s a gift from Mu Yichen and me for the baby’s birth.”

Qin Mu corrected her immediately.

”Same thing! Anyway, I’m going to manage it. For the next twenty years, this little guy shouldn’t expect any scoop! Hehe!”

Qin Mingzhu was getting happier, her eyelashes still clouded with a layer of mist. Qin Mu gently wiped it for her, eyes on Qin Mingzhu’s teary places, so tender.

”Qin Mu, now you truly are my sister!”

Looking at Qin Mu’s eyes, Qin Mingzhu couldn’t help but say softly to her, so sincere and serious.

Qin Mu’s dark eyes looked at her: ”So before, calling me sister was just for fun?”

”Of course not!”

Qin Mingzhu straightened her back immediately, retorting.

After having lunch at the Qin Family, Qin Mu didn’t linger, driving towards the studio.

The phone rang in front, she glanced at it, then answered.

”Still at the Qin Family?”

Mu Yichen’s deep and indifferent voice came through the speaker, echoing in her whole car.

”I left, heading to the studio now!”

Qin Mu realized she seemed to have to report her itinerary to Mu Yichen every day.

”I’m free this afternoon, I’ll come to your studio!”

”You’re free again?”

”Why? Are you unhappy?”

Mu Yichen asked in return, frowning as he sat behind the desk, turning the swivel chair more than half a circle, leaning against the desk, his idle hand tapping on the desk a few times, obviously displeased with Qin Mu’s remark about him being free again.

”Uh... it’s just that I think you’re too free lately!”

Qin Mu expressed tactfully, not wanting him to think she was complaining about him. After all, if he started to complain, she really couldn’t handle it.

Besides, now that her period was over, she could be attacked at any time.

”I’m not as free as you think, just for the time being.”

Mu Yichen argued back, so deftly that it left no room for criticism.

Qin Mu nodded her head: ”Okay, do as you please!”

What else could she say?

Even after ending the call, Mu Yichen was still frowning. She dared to dislike him for being idle. Would she be happy if he got busy and couldn’t pay attention to her?

But he just couldn’t get busy with anything else lately. He pushed everything onto others. His top priority now was sleeping with Mrs. Mu.

Thinking of the bed in Mrs. Mu’s studio, it’s been so long since he slept there.

The studio didn’t have many people, most had gone to lunch. Only Xiaoyan was on duty, and another designer focused on completing their work attentively.

When Qin Mu entered, neither of them noticed her. She couldn’t help but smile, intentionally making the heels of her shoes sound loudly while going upstairs.

Xiaoyan and the designer both looked in the direction of the sound, seeing Qin Mu’s back, they thought they might be seeing things; Qin Mu hadn’t mentioned she was coming to work today.

Mu Yichen didn’t come out of the office until more than half an hour after Qin Mu arrived at the studio. He had been trying to delay, afraid Qin Mu would again complain he came too quickly.

When Yang Qin returned after lunch, she saw him about to head out and greeted immediately: ”Mr. Mu!”
