His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1932: Chapter 555: Last Night You Nearly Took My Life

However, as Mu Yichen gently pressed down on her, it rendered her efforts futile, and she could only let out soft whimpers with a hint of a weak sob.

Mu Yichen couldn’t resist her allure in this state; before long, he skillfully and with a familiar thrill, without Qin Mu’s knowledge, drew her in.

Qin Mu’s whole body tensed up, and she soon cried out under Mu Yichen’s weight.

Mu Yichen gasped for breath as he looked down at the tear-streaked woman, and helplessly leaned in again.

”Be good! It’ll be over soon!”

His voice was soft and gentle.

Yet Qin Mu whimpered more painfully, the physical discomfort making her feel as if she were in agony.

Mu Yichen tenderly kissed away the tear stains on her face, soothing her sadness while subtly guiding her to another realm.

That night, no one else came to disturb them.

The music in the room seemed to stop around two in the morning, and the two of them squeezed together on the sofa, finally falling asleep in each other’s familiar scents and warmth after a few adjustments.

The rain pattered on without stopping, and the cars occasionally moving slowly through the rain outside seemed to emerge from another world, ensuring that this city, with only the sound of rain, didn’t exist in loneliness.

——

They woke up again after seven in the morning the next day, with Qin Mu’s voice terribly hoarse. She tried to turn over, but a slight movement made her body ache all over, and she felt cramped.

When she finally opened her eyes slowly and saw the person sleeping before her, she thought she might be dreaming.

She didn’t doubt why Mu Yichen was beside her; instead, she doubted where they had ended up spending the night together.

She tried to get up and discovered his suit jacket and her blue coat draped over her; looking at him, he had nothing covering him.

”Mu Yichen, wake up!”

Her hand lightly rested on his shoulder, and her voice softened from fatigue.

Mu Yichen groggily woke up, blinked at the sight of Qin Mu sitting in front of him, then immediately sat up, feeling uncomfortable from even the slightest movement, a dry throat exacerbating his discomfort.

Supporting himself on the edge of the sofa, a glance at the toppled bottles on the table brought back the memory of last night. They had indeed gone too far, drinking too much; now his own throat felt unbearably dry, let alone hers.

Mu Yichen turned to look at her, noticing she was also looking at him: ”Want some water?”

”I want to go home!”

When Mu Yichen spoke, his voice sounded terribly harsh, and there was a tired but firm softness in Qin Mu’s voice.

Mu Yichen nodded: ”Okay!”

When he stood up, he offered her his hand.

Qin Mu glanced almost instinctively, then, as if it were routine, placed her hand in his, allowing him to pull her up.

Last night, he had at least been kind enough to help her put on her clothes, but the buttons were fastened incorrectly.

Qin Mu lowered her head to fix the buttons while Mu Yichen watched, unable to resist a chuckle.

Qin Mu looked up at him: ”Isn’t it all your fault?”

”Yes, it’s all my fault!”

Mu Yichen stifled a laugh, pretending to agree seriously, while rubbing his throat, which felt unbearably dry.

On the table in the corner of the sofa were a few bottles of mineral water. Without any fuss, Mu Yichen opened a bottle for her, then opened one for himself. After they finished drinking, they prepared to leave.

Last night, Mu Yichen had locked the door. At the door, seeing Qin Mu about to open it, he suddenly grabbed her hand, his tall build leaning against the doorframe, a devilish gaze on the silent woman: ”Last night...”

”Last night you nearly took my life!”

Qin Mu looked up at him serious as she turned to open the door, only to have Mu Yichen grab her other hand.

”Last night you called my name while drunk!”

Mu Yichen’s deep voice seemed to render her defenseless, leaving Qin Mu in astonishment as she looked at him, and then...

She thought he was going to apologize, but instead...

Was calling his name worth mentioning? Didn’t she do that all the time?

”Yes, I’m going home now!”

Qin Mu held back her frustration, thinking a good shower and rest at home was her priority. As for other matters, she really couldn’t argue with him.

”Okay! Let’s go home!”

Mu Yichen, holding her hand, opened the door and led her out.

The club was now eerily quiet, not a soul in sight, but Qin Mu couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was behind them, so she took Mu Yichen’s arm and walked closely beside him.
