His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1696: Chapter 474: The Beginning and the End (20)

”What did you say?”

Qin Mingzhu repeated in her ear over and over. Qin Mu finally snapped out of it and turned to look at Qin Mingzhu, asking back.

”I asked if you and brother-in-law plan to have another little brother or sister for Chengcheng and Huanhuan to play with.”

Qin Mingzhu was almost exasperated by her super slow reaction, but she still patiently asked her again.

——

The elders hoped they would have a few more kids to play with, but the two of them, especially Mu Yichen, refused without any hesitation.

As juniors, no one would eat before everyone else. They just let the kids have lunch first and play, waiting for Qin Haiming to come back so they could join him for the meal.

Qin Haiming handed out big red envelopes to everyone first, from the kids to those of them who were married.

”The red envelope doesn’t need to be big, it’s good enough to have one!”

Qin Haiming knew they were not short of money and didn’t care about this little sum, so with a kind face, he added this note to them.

”The one from Dad, I’ll keep it well, just happened to spot a bracelet!”

Qin Mingzhu stood beside Qin Mu, feeling her red envelope, then sneakily glanced at the one in Qin Mu’s hand.

”Oh dear! Sis, your red envelope seems thicker than mine! Let me see!”

Qin Mingzhu casually took it over, then...

Then it went into Qin Mingzhu’s bag, and Qin Mu smiled helplessly!

Since the children had already finished lunch, it was much quieter when the four of them sat with Qin Haiming in the dining room.

The kids all rushed to the playroom to play. That playroom, although often empty, clearly showed a grandfather’s anticipation, hoping the children would visit often.

Once the kids came, the playroom was in use, making Qin Haiming naturally very happy, even a bit elated.

”I just had a drink with your dad yesterday, your dad’s drinking capacity is increasing now!”

The leader said to Mu Yichen with a smile as he took his seat.

”Every year during the New Year, it seems to increase, not even Ms. Feng can control him.”

Mu Yichen laughed along and chatted.

”Really? If even your mom can’t control him, he’s really letting loose now!”

Qin Haiming, listening, seemed a bit surprised. After all, over the years, Mu Zihao had always been under strict management by his wife.

”You guys should also fill up today, let’s all drink a few more glasses at noon and have a good celebration.”

Qin Haiming said happily.

”Dad, I can’t drink now!”

Since getting pregnant, Qin Mingzhu even changed her tone.

Qin Haiming looked up at her, unaccustomed: ”What’s wrong? You were the girl who secretly drank at fifteen, now pretending to be a good girl in front of Huanyu?”

”Not at all, I’m just...”

Qin Mingzhu didn’t finish but shyly buried her face in Wang Huanyu’s shoulder, while Wang Huanyu chuckled lightly and affectionately.

”She’s pregnant!”

Qin Mu, unable to handle the Qin Family’s eldest daughter being so sickening, said softly.

”Hmm?”

Qin Haiming seemed as if he misheard, turned to look at Qin Mu, and when Qin Mu gave him a look, he then turned to Qin Mingzhu for final confirmation.

”Yes! You’re going to be a grandfather again!”

Wang Huanyu answered on behalf of his little wife to his father-in-law.

Upon hearing this, Qin Haiming was overjoyed.

”Looks like there will be joyous occasions in our family this year, come on, let’s first have a drink to celebrate!”

Qin Haiming spoke while raising his glass, his heart was quite pleased.

Qin Mu and Mu Yichen clinked glasses with them, though Qin Mu felt like Mu Yichen had something on his mind.

”Dad, how about you name the baby this time?”

Qin Mingzhu suddenly proposed.

”Of course, no problem, but you need to have the consent of your in-laws first.”

Qin Haiming was quite happy with his daughter’s proposal. He always wanted to contribute more to the children, but couldn’t let his daughter’s in-laws think he was being disrespectful.

”My parents just mean to ask you to help name the second child!”

Wang Huanyu said.

In fact, the Wang Family had never agreed to such a thing, it was just a temporary thought on their way here. Qin Mingzhu said no matter how many gifts she gave her father, he wouldn’t care, but when it came to naming his grandchild, he’d certainly be happy. Wang Huanyu, always doting on Qin Mingzhu, was easily persuaded by her little act of petulance.

”Then I shall take on this task!”

Qin Haiming happily said to the couple, though he tried not to appear too excited, his expression failed to cover his naturally low-key disposition.
