His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1660: Chapter 463: The Beginning and the End (9)_3

”Qin Mu, I’m really scared, scared he’ll suddenly disappear from my world. When I was pregnant, I was afraid he’d find out, so I rented a place near him, just daring to watch him from afar. Every night, he stands on the balcony, smoking, daydreaming. I guess he’s thinking about you, but I don’t care. I knew from the start that his heart was with you. But Qin Mu, now I want to find the baby’s father for the sake of the baby in my belly. I swear, if I had any other options, I guarantee I wouldn’t trouble you.”

Xiao Wei confided to her with sadness. Lately, Xiao Wei had been waiting for Qin Mu’s call every day, but she couldn’t wait any longer, so she made this call to Qin Mu out of urgency.

”He’s had this happen before, without even notifying the studio, and then just disappeared suddenly, for months even! Really! Xiao Wei, trust me, he’ll come back, at most after the new year, I promise!”

Qin Mu softly comforted her, also comforting herself.

Qin Mu had a firm voice in her heart saying that if he hadn’t returned by the end of the year, she would really fly to Paris to accompany Xiao Wei and wait for him.

After hanging up, Qin Mu felt heavy-hearted, looking out at the snowy scene, speculating which country Jian Yan liked and where exactly he was roaming now?

If he knew Xiao Wei was pregnant, would he return immediately?

Qin Mu’s eyes lit up, suddenly thinking of something, and then she smiled with relief before quickly making another call.

”Help me publish a missing person notice in the international news! Name your price, I want the front-page headline! Once I draft the content, I’ll send it directly to your email! Yeah! Just send it to my phone! Goodbye!”

After making the call, Qin Mu felt happy, thinking that Jian Yan might just appear after her news was published.

But as she turned around with her phone and happiness, she saw a man sitting on the sofa with his head bowed.

He’s awake?

She forgot while making the call earlier and must have woken him up.

”It seems nothing can stop your enthusiasm for finding him!”

Mu Yichen raised his dark eyes and shot a mocking comment at her.

”Yes!”

Qin Mu felt a tremor in her heart but couldn’t help smiling as she said those two words to him, then turned to walk to the other side.

Mu Yichen was still sitting there, his gloomy eyes lowered, lost in thought.

Qin Mu went upstairs to the study to draft her message; she needed it to be big enough for Jian Yan to hear and see this news from any corner.

Once she grasped this idea, Qin Mu felt like she was clutching a lifesaving straw, and it was her only hope, certain to succeed.

Mu Yichen later smoked a few cigarettes before driving out.

After finishing her draft, before she even got up, she heard the sound of a car moving outside. She stood up, her slender figure turned to the window, and saw him driving away in a blue sports car.

Her heart tightened involuntarily, thinking about the outside temperature, then quickly picked up the phone to dial his number.

Arguing is fine, getting angry is fine, but why go out in this weather? Making people worry.

But he didn’t pick up the phone at all, and later she found out that his phone was on the couch, and he just went out with the car keys?

Qin Mu couldn’t help but worry. It wasn’t about where he went, but in such cold weather, what if the snow on the road wasn’t dealt with properly...

Qin Mu sat on the large couch, holding both phones, lost in thought.

She wanted to send a news alert, saying Mrs. Mu was racing outside; she thought she could find him immediately because he would reach out to her himself.

But she couldn’t do that.

Qin Mu didn’t want to make him worry, but he insisted on making people worry.

Qin Mu guessed he might go to a hotel, but she didn’t know if he went to meet friends or to rest. If meeting friends, she wouldn’t have a hard time finding him. If resting...

Never mind, he must have gone to rest!

Just as Qin Mu was about to put down his phone, it rang. Qin Mu looked down at the screen and saw a WeChat message pop up.

Anna: ”I don’t know if I caused any discord between you and Mrs. Mu that day. I’m here to apologize to Mr. Mu! (With the utmost sincerity)”

Qin Mu looked at Anna’s message, let out a bitter laugh, thinking Anna was quite the two-faced person, really sick of Anna maneuvering between them, then unlocked Mr. Mu’s phone with a fingerprint and quickly composed a message to Anna: ”Please don’t disturb my life anymore!”
