His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1654: Chapter 461: The Beginning and the End (7)_4

Mu Yichen...

His dark eyes looked at her, feeling her breath on his chest, suddenly he just lay there, as if he had lost all his strength, foolishly gazing at her.

When she was asleep, she was so tender that it drove him nearly insane, wanting to wake her up and have her passionately once more.

But thinking of how they parted so unpleasantly at noon, he decided to let it go.

After all, he was a blessed man, he had to restrain himself.

Letting her worry was fine, in just a few days she might start to suspect him, suspect why this pervert suddenly lost interest in that aspect, then he would tell her, he was moved by her blessing, it’s really not doable, she’d definitely be scared to death.

Mu Yichen held onto that thought, and quietly fell asleep in that pose, with his arm over her head, embracing her.

——

The next morning it was snowing, Qin Mu woke up a bit early.

As soon as she raised her head, she saw his sleeping face, Qin Mu paused, as if unsure whether she was dreaming or in real life. After coming to her senses, she realized she didn’t even know what time he came back last night.

But seeing him sleep so deeply, and looking at their posture and proximity, Qin Mu instinctively began to quietly back away.

Mu Yichen was asleep, completely unaware of what she did. Qin Mu quietly got out of bed, washed up, changed clothes, and went out.

Mu Yichen only woke up hearing the door closing, but didn’t open his eyes, feeling slightly annoyed, he raised his hand to feel beside him, it was a habit developed over many years, a habit to search for her presence.

But when he didn’t feel her body, only the lingering warmth where she slept, Mu Yichen reflexively opened his eyes.

She wasn’t there!

Mu Yichen had a terrible headache, so he didn’t get up to look for her, guessing she must have gone downstairs. He directly grabbed her pillow, hugged it in his arms, and continued to sleep.

Outside, the snow wasn’t heavy, but enough to make people feel its allure.

Qin Mu stood at the small window in the study, quietly watching the falling snow, her eyes filled with some melancholy and confusion.

She didn’t know how she could find her master; she always thought she knew Jian Yan well, until Jian Yan disappeared this time, she suddenly realized her understanding of him was just knowing he was a workaholic.

Where he liked to go, she thought hard but couldn’t find any clues.

And Xiao Wei was about to give birth.

If Jian Yan didn’t show up soon, he would miss the moment his child came into the world.

She didn’t want that to happen; every woman hoped that when giving birth, there would be a man she loved or who loved her by her side, and no father wanted to miss the moment their child was born.

Also, his health, Qin Mu gradually began to believe, believed he definitely wasn’t unwell, although with her belief, she still felt anxious.

If Jian Yan didn’t appear soon, then after the New Year, she would definitely have to go to Paris, Xiao Wei’s delivery couldn’t be without someone there.

By then, Mu Yichen’s side...

Qin Mu remembered his cold hope that Jian Yan would die outside and felt chilled. She wondered whether or not she should explain to him, or perhaps just buy a plane ticket and fly over after the New Year.

——

Before breakfast, Mu Yichen had not come downstairs yet. Feng Fanghua was a bit worried and said to Qin Mu, ”I see his car is home, did he leave early, or hasn’t he gotten up yet?”

Qin Mu came out with the children after washing their hands, lifted her eyes hearing Feng Fanghua’s words, and pretended to be relaxed saying, ”Oh! He’s still asleep!”

”Sleeping this late, go and call him to get up!”

Feng Fanghua frowned, murmuring a bit, and then instructed Qin Mu.

Qin Mu...

”Why are you standing there dumbfounded? Hurry up and go!”

Feng Fanghua raised her eyes seeing Qin Mu standing there stupidly, urged again, then held the hands of her grandson and granddaughter, ”Let’s go to the dining room and wait for Daddy to come down and eat together.”

The two little ones followed their grandmother, still not forgetting to turn and look at their mom worriedly, they always felt mom was a bit pitiful.

And inside, Qin Mu was indeed feeling a bit sad at the moment.

But it seemed she had no retreat, so woodenly, she turned around, frowned, and walked upstairs.

But how could Mr. Mu not have gotten up so late? Or was he already up, just waiting for her to call?

Could he have conspired with Mrs. Feng, deliberately teasing her?

Qin Mu thought of the few times she had been teased by that mother-and-son duo, but still forced by Mrs. Feng’s authority, had to walk step by step up the stairs.

Mu Yichen, oh Mu Yichen, if I suddenly die early, it must be from being angered by you.

That was how Qin Mu thought in her heart, yet she was already at the door.

As soon as she raised her eyes to see the door to her bedroom, Qin Mu seriously wondered if she had flown over here, why so fast? She had clearly deliberately slowed her pace.

Took a deep breath, then grabbed the door handle, thinking whether he was lying in bed naked or already dressed fully, she would just pass on Mrs. Feng’s words, and then immediately close the door and leave.

So once she opened the door, she hurriedly said, ”Mu Yichen, come downstairs to have breakfast!”

No response, she thought of retreating, but there was like a strong wind behind her, keeping her from stepping back.

Qin Mu instinctively lifted her eyes, reluctantly looking towards the bed.

He actually...
