His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1678: Chapter 468: The Beginning and the End (14)_2

Qin Mu lightly explained, feeling a bit nervous, carefully watching the expressions of the elders.

She wasn’t sure if she could get away with it.

It was then that Mu Yichen realized that those chaotic things over there were all bought by Qin Mu. All these years spending with Qin Mu, he indeed hadn’t seen her spend lavishly like this, so...

Her mood wasn’t much better than his!

”Sigh! You two! How old are you now? Hmm?”

The grandfather was both troubled and caring, asking them gently, but his eyes were full of doting.

When Qin Mu heard the grandfather ask such a question, she knew that he understood everything, so she lowered her eyes again.

The aroma of roasted sweet potatoes on the table kept wafting to her nose. Qin Mu wanted to eat some roasted sweet potatoes but didn’t dare to say it. She wanted to remind everyone to eat while they were hot, but feared Feng Fanghua’s scolding for being improper, so she continued sitting quietly.

Mu Yichen suddenly asked impatiently, ”When are we eating?”

”You’re hungry? Didn’t your wife buy roasted sweet potatoes? Have some first!”

Feng Fanghua raised her eyes and glared at her son angrily.

That was sarcasm, deliberately provoking him. Mu Yichen knew that Feng Fanghua thought he wouldn’t eat it.

”If we don’t eat soon, it’ll indeed turn cold!”

Mu Yichen suddenly said, having already leaned forward to open the package, picking one for himself.

Grandfather also looked over, then took the smallest one.

Qin Mu thought to herself, Mu Yichen, you actually dared to take the one I wanted to eat the most, but on the surface, she pretended not to care, waiting for everyone to finish choosing before she picked one.

For some reason, even while eating roasted sweet potatoes, it didn’t stop Mrs. Feng from criticizing them.

Mu Zihao suddenly chuckled, and Feng Fanghua, holding a piece of the roasted sweet potato she just broke off, turned to look at him, ”What are you laughing at?”

”Nothing, nothing! Continue talking!”

Mu Zihao didn’t dare to say too much, so he urged her to continue.

”Let’s eat first, I have a headache and can’t listen to this!”

Mu Yichen said as he ate, mentioning his headache.

Qin Mu was just about to eat when she heard him say headache, and turned to look at him.

”Oh! I bought you a gift!”

Qin Mu suddenly said.

The elders who were worried about their cold war all raised their eyes to look at them upon hearing this sentence.

”I don’t want it!”

But Yichen, with much style, easily declined her gift.

”Uh! Then, should I give it to dad and grandpa? But would it be inappropriate to give a watch to elders?”

”I don’t mind, my watch has been worn for a long time and the strap is bad, give it to me!”

The grandfather, upon hearing this, thought he just needed one, raised his hand to show Qin Mu his watch.

”This...”

”If you want to change, buy one yourself. Can you be a bit more sincere when giving gifts?”

Mu Yichen put the roasted sweet potato on the table, spoke to the grandfather, and then turned to remind Qin Mu.

Qin Mu...

”What kind of sincerity? We’ve been married for years, do I still need to plead with you?”

Mu Zihao couldn’t bear to see his son bullying the girl like that, unhappily questioning Mu Yichen in a low voice.

Mu Yichen...

Qin Mu kept her mouth shut, thinking to herself, Dad, you said it perfectly, I applaud you.

Feng Fanghua coldly glanced at her husband, feeling that there was something wrong with his brain, always siding with Qin Mu. She didn’t think it was too much for Qin Mu to coax her son a bit more.

”Why don’t we distribute the gifts first? If it’s not suitable, there’s still time to exchange!”

Qin Mu suddenly suggested.

What could be more delightful than distributing gifts?

Qin Mu didn’t even feel like these things were bought by herself, as if they were just picked up. Then she helped distribute them to everyone.

Because Feng Fanghua always disliked her taste, albeit just verbally, Qin Mu only bought her an overcoat, also a pair of super stylish high heels, and then the jewelry. The items didn’t seem much, but soon, Mu Zihao and grandfather were surrounded by them.

When it came to gifts, everyone seemed quite happy. The grandfather couldn’t stop smiling at one of the gifts he received, loving it so much he couldn’t bear to put it down.

Only Mu Yichen remained silent, watching from the diagonal how his mother was having his father wear a diamond necklace for her, thinking, sigh! Just now she had such a righteous look.

Qin Mu felt a sense of relief, after all, Mrs. Feng didn’t have time to criticize her and Mu Yichen anymore.

She also bought gifts for Mu Qingxin, Jiang Yan, and Zifeng, planning to give them when the family visits on the second day of the new year.
