His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1668: Chapter 465: The Beginning and the End (Part 11)_4

”Indeed! Just seeing Miss Mingzhu here makes me wish you were here too! You can tell that the boss also wants you at home to keep him company!”

The aunt stood there chatting with her for quite a while before leaving.

Qin Mu couldn’t quite describe her feelings; every time she came here, her emotions were always complicated.

However, she felt a bit uneasy, or maybe she cherishes Qin Haiming like she did when she was a child, and she no longer wants to hear his words of helplessness, those words of wanting yet being unable to see her.

But she couldn’t give him that.

The end of the year marks the anniversary of her mother’s passing!

Whenever this time arrives, she is even less capable of meeting with Qin Haiming. Her heart feels like it’s been pierced by a knife, and whenever she sees Qin Haiming, that knife stabs deeper into her chest.

It was snowing the year her mother passed; she’s wondering if it’ll snow this year too.

She hopes it won’t snow again; let bygones be bygones!

Later on, Qin Mu arranged to have afternoon tea with Wen Runuan at AM, but as soon as she parked her car, she saw Anna standing at the hotel entrance. Anna seemed to have just noticed her car and remained motionless.

After Qin Mu got out of the car, she saw her; the tall Anna was standing there smiling in welcome, but Qin Mu didn’t make any special effort to smile back, just walked inside very casually.

”Blocked on WeChat, blocked on the phone, I guess I’ve really offended you! So I’ll just apologize!”

As soon as she saw Qin Mu stop beside her, she began to explain.

Qin Mu glanced at her and, since it was only an apology, nodded: ”I accept it! But from now on, I hope Miss Anna and I can stay out of each other’s way. I’m honestly not someone who’s especially good at making friends, so if I’ve offended you, please forgive me!”

After saying that, Qin Mu lowered her head again and then turned away, striding inside.

Anna didn’t chase after her, she just couldn’t help but smile slightly, not knowing if it was a mocking smile or out of sorrow.

Wen Runuan, after getting out of the car at the hotel entrance, called out in confusion: ”Anna?”

”Wen Runuan? What a coincidence?”

Anna was momentarily startled, then smiled and greeted her.

”It is quite a coincidence; I arranged to have afternoon tea with Qin Mu upstairs. What about you?”

”I’m here to meet a friend, flying out again tomorrow!”

Anna explained to her.

Wen Runuan, with her bag on her shoulder, lightly tugged the strap, glanced pleasantly at her, and smiled: ”Did you bump into Qin Mu just now?”

”There was a slight misunderstanding, but it seems she doesn’t plan to forgive me. Oh well! I’m too busy to handle... emotional matters!”

Anna hadn’t expected to mention emotions, so she paused, then nonchalantly explained to Wen Runuan.

”So you’ve finally admitted it! But you really picked the wrong person! Qin Mu is such a straightforward woman, there’s no way anything could happen between you two. And Mu Yichen, he’s lived for over thirty years, surrounded by countless women, but ask anyone if he’s ever touched another woman. Just take the second lady from the Jing Family back then, no matter how desperately she stuck to him, shamelessly pursuing him with all sorts of tricks. But look at the couple, did either of them ever betray the other?”

Wen Runuan reminded her.

Anna smiled: ”Looks like I need to shift my focus!”

”Yes, come on in!”

Wen Runuan gently patted her shoulder and walked inside first.

Wen Runuan and Qin Mu had booked a private room. Upon entering and seeing Qin Mu already brewing tea inside, she happily strode over to take a seat opposite her.

Outside the windows was a magnificent view of the city, and Wen Runuan put her bag down beside her, glanced at the surroundings, and couldn’t help but exclaim: ”I’ve been playing in AM for so many years, yet there are still places I haven’t seen. This place is so special, isn’t it?”

”As long as it’s not tacky!”

Qin Mu poured her some tea, having not called for any service inside.

”Tacky? I don’t doubt Yichen’s taste, and I’m certainly not going to doubt the taste of you, the great designer!”

Wen Runuan couldn’t help but say a bit more as she looked at her being steadily unmovable.

”If you say the hotel’s name is somewhat related to me, I might nod and acknowledge it, but if you say the interior design also involved me, that’s an honor I dare not claim.”

Qin Mu laughed, her eyes like bright stars, gently setting the teapot aside as she finished speaking to Wen Runuan.

”Oh dear! You’re always so serious, it’s hard to joke with you even a little. You ran into Anna just now, I’m guessing sparks flew?”

Wen Runuan asked her.

”Yes! I blocked her on WeChat and her phone, so we just exchanged a few words.”

Qin Mu calmly explained to her.

”No wonder she’s so downcast. It turns out she got blocked in every way by you! But it’s just as well, it’s best to make things clear!”

Wen Runuan commented while nodding, then picked up a cup of tea, bringing it to her nose for a sniff, nodding unconsciously: ”What a fragrance!”

”Try a sip, you’ll like it even more!”

Qin Mu said as she also picked up the exquisite little teacup, taking a gentle sip.

The aroma was clear and sweet, exceptionally pure, evoking a feeling of being back in nature. Wen Runuan, after tasting it, nodded in agreement.

While they were chatting, Qin Mu’s phone rang from the handbag on the chair next to her. Qin Mu gestured to Wen Runuan, then opened her bag and took out her phone.

It was Mu Yichen!
