His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1680: Chapter 468: The Beginning and the End (14)_4

Mu Yichen lifted his eyes to look at Mu Zihao, interrupting Mu Zihao’s words before slowly uttering these words.

Mu Zihao nodded: ”Don’t overdo it! Mumu’s heart is not as strong as you think.”

After Mu Zihao left, Mu Yichen sat on the sofa, lit a cigarette, and smoked silently.

Mu Zihao is not the first to advise him this way, nor the only one advising him.

But he simply doesn’t like that Qin Mu has others on her mind. When Jian Yan has a minor ailment, Qin Mu acts as if she doesn’t care, but when a real problem arises, she becomes anxious and loses her composure. He has told himself several times not to mind, to relax, and let it pass. But every time he sees her anxiously searching for Jian Yan, he loses his calm again.

Today, he knew the reason why she went shopping, she has her way of venting, he has his.

After finishing a cigarette, he turned off the lights and went upstairs.

Qin Mu had already washed up and lay in bed. When Mu Yichen entered the room, he saw her seriously looking at her phone.

Qin Mu didn’t lift her eyes, focused on reading the comments on Weibo. She saw someone saying they saw a person resembling Jian Yan in a certain place, and she wondered if that could be Jian Yan, but no one could give her confirmed news, so she could only rule them out one by one.

Mu Yichen’s lowered eyes noticed she didn’t even glance at him. She had pretended to be close to him downstairs, giving gifts and joking, but now showed another demeanor. Mu Yichen was resentful but didn’t say a word, she didn’t even ask him about Jing Qing, and so he went to take a shower.

Qin Mu did raise her eyes to glance towards the bathroom, but lowered them again after only two seconds.

She truly couldn’t handle Mu Yichen’s moods, so she gave up.

For him to speak of letting go of her, she had no idea how much money she spent today to bury those words deep within her heart, unwilling to hear him utter more hurtful words.

When Mu Yichen emerged from the shower without wearing pajamas, Qin Mu reflexively raised her eyes and saw his tanned chest, solid enough that she involuntarily swallowed, lowering her eyes, pretending not to notice.

Mu Yichen, however, walked to the bedside wiping his hair, sitting down with his back to her.

”Since you ran into me, why didn’t you say hello?”

Mu Yichen suddenly asked.

Finally, the room had a hint of life.

”Say hello for what? Ask whose kid you’re holding?”

Qin Mu put down her phone, turned her eyes to the back of his head asking him.

Mu Yichen turned to look at her, coldly chuckled.

”Didn’t you greet Jing Qing?”

Mu Yichen frowned and asked her.

”So what?”

Qin Mu asked coldly looking at him.

”So what?”

Mu Yichen sneered, looked down at the bed, then yanked the towel off his waist and lunged forward.

Instinctively, Qin Mu dodged and flipped outwards.

With a ’thud’, she fell off the bed, her head hitting the bedside table, pain causing her to cry out instinctively, though not loudly, it was enough to show she hurt.

Mu Yichen’s face instantly turned solemn, rolled off to kneel by her side, raising his hand to take her hand that was covering her forehead.

”Let me see.”

He anxiously said, gripping Qin Mu’s hand, his eyes fixed on her reddened forehead, the skin broken.

In the dead of winter, wounds don’t heal easily, Mu Yichen helplessly looked down at her: ”I’m not a monster!”

”But I don’t want you to use my body as an outlet!”

Qin Mu raised her eyes to look at him, then pressed her forehead gently as she spoke.

”So refusing and ending up like this is fine?”

Mu Yichen gazed pained at her injury.

”What’s wrong with that? When mom and dad ask tomorrow, I’ll say you abused me!”

Qin Mu instinctively didn’t want to look at his dark eyes, lowering her head, her body surged with blood.

He, wasn’t wearing anything!

He, obviously hadn’t noticed it yet.

Qin Mu...

Mu Yichen merely found her words exasperating, knowing she wouldn’t tell mom and dad he abused her, she was just retorting, yet he had no words to counter her.

His pitch-black eyes instantly fixed on hers, then sighed helplessly: ”Have it your way, but now just stay still, I’ll get antiseptic and band-aids.”

Qin Mu thought, not move? Sitting on the floor freezing?

Mu Yichen lowered his head, then saw her, only to realize she had suddenly lowered her head, her face faintly flushed, the reason, and he had just worried about her, forgetting he was not wearing anything, he hurried to put on pajamas, then went to find the medicine.

As soon as Mu Yichen left, she ran to the bed, covered herself with the blanket, took her phone and opened the camera to look at her forehead, seeing the injured spot at the corner, she felt somewhat disheartened, during the New Year, it’s surprising to see blood.

Mu Yichen returned with antiseptic and band-aids, raising his eyes to see her comfortably on the bed, somewhat annoyed cast her a glance, then lowered his head and went over, sitting beside her.
