His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1655: Chapter 462: The Beginning and the End (8)

Qin Mu sighed helplessly in her heart and had to move forward: ”Mu Yichen, if you don’t get up soon, you won’t be doing anything this morning!”

Mu Yichen frowned in frustration, turned over, and continued to sleep.

Seeing him hugging the pillow out of shape, Qin Mu couldn’t help but chuckle, thinking, you can’t possibly be mistaking this pillow for me, can you?

”Let go of my pillow!”

Qin Mu said, but he ignored her, so Qin Mu reached out to grab the pillow.

”Mom told you to come downstairs for breakfast!”

Qin Mu explained her intention, feeling a sense of unease.

”Not going! Head hurts! Want to sleep!”

”Mu Yichen, what time did you come back last night?”

To be this tired, he must have come back very late.

”Forgot, midnight?”

He was trying to recall.

”Mu Yichen, if you keep this up, I’m really going to lose my temper. Get up and go downstairs for breakfast, everyone is waiting for you!”

”Not eating! Just sleeping!”

”Mu Yichen!”

”Honey, don’t argue!”

His soft voice was weak, and Qin Mu’s heart tightened, realizing something was off.

Instinctively, she turned around and reached out to feel his forehead.

A bit of a fever!

Qin Mu’s emotions became chaotic, unable to be angry with him any longer; she looked at his aggrieved expression, sighed helplessly, and allowed him to hold her, turning to grab the phone next to his pillow to call Feng Fanghua.

”Mom! He has a slight fever, you all go ahead and eat!”

Feng Fanghua was wondering why they needed to call from upstairs, and realized it was because of the fever: ”Then take good care of him and don’t lose your temper with him at a time like this.”

”Got it! I’ll hang up now!”

Qin Mu agreed softly and then put down the phone.

When he’s sick, he acts like a child, both grumpy and impatient.

Qin Mu always found him pitiful like this, her heart feeling a tight squeeze.

What happened last night that he ended up with a fever early in the morning?

”Just relax and sleep, once you’re rested, get up, eat, and take your medicine!”

Mu Yichen relaxed a bit after hearing this.

Qin Mu stayed beside him, playing on his phone for a while. Surprisingly, he had games on his phone; Qin Mu opened them and played for a bit. To her, it wasn’t really playing but wasting time, she couldn’t understand it at all, couldn’t tell the characters apart, so she boringly started browsing the web.

It was past ten when he finally woke up, fully rested.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he noticed Qin Mu lying beside him, and couldn’t help but furrow his brows.

”Awake?”

Qin Mu kept her eyelids lowered, replying softly without looking at him, still staring at his phone.

”Yeah! What time is it?”

His hoarse voice couldn’t hide his indifference.

”Ten fifteen! The best time for breakfast has already passed, sleep a while longer, then you can get ready for lunch!”

Qin Mu reminded him, continuing to look at entertainment news.

Mu Yichen slowly propped himself up, rubbing his brow with one hand, then turned to look at her: ”You’ve been here with me this whole time?”

Qin Mu...

Mu Yichen stared at her, perplexed, not understanding why her eyes seemed reluctant to acknowledge him, yet, she was still there.

”Someone who doesn’t know might think you were drunk this morning! Mom and Dad are really worried about you, call them once you’re feeling better; they gave instructions before taking the kids out.”

”Phone!”

Mu Yichen observed Qin Mu’s decidedly unwilling demeanor to be close with him, his weary voice showing fatigue.

Qin Mu instinctively glanced at him, came to her senses, and handed the phone to him.

The phone was warm from her usage, showing she had played for a long time.

And she was reading entertainment news!

Mu Yichen glanced at the screen before calling Mu Zihao.

Actually, he wanted to ask Qin Mu to call, but he was too tired to bicker about a phone call; his head hurt.

”Yeah! Got it! Hanging up!”

Mu Yichen spoke firmly on the phone, reported he was okay, then hung up, tossing the phone back to her.

Qin Mu instinctively caught the phone, puzzled, watched him get up and head towards the bathroom.

She hadn’t eaten breakfast either, so twenty minutes later, they sat together at the table, eating, not sure if it was breakfast or lunch.

”Master, do you need your medicine now?”

”Half an hour after the meal!”

Qin Mu reflexively answered before Mu Yichen spoke when the aunt asked.

She preferred he not take medicine right after a meal; it’s more effective than waiting half an hour.
