Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1491: Chapter 22: Blitz (5)

The Judger Force is ready to launch.

This news, like it grew wings, quickly spread throughout the entire Northern Cluster.

Whether it was the rear troops converging towards the Sunset Mountain from tributaries, or the frontline personnel at the forward positions, sweating and dust-covered, bustling back and forth, upon hearing the news, everyone widened their eyes and their faces flooded with color, shouting excitedly.

Everyone knows that these Judger Mech Knights, with their unbeatable combat power, are the most crucial part of Bellif’s battle plan for the Sunset Mountain campaign. However, no one expected these guys to arrive so quickly! Almost simultaneously with the troops’ withdrawal from Sunset Mountain, they were deployed!

In this era of mechas, such experts inherently possess extraordinary allure. Moreover, the fact that these five squads are deployed right after the forces suffered setbacks clearly carries a demonstrative and retaliatory nature.

The Fei Alliance Joint Army, cowering in their turtle shells on Sunset Mountain, will receive an unforgettable lesson. They will realize that there are always some people in this world who cannot be stopped by a defense line.

When the black Judgers, like grim reapers, wander through the shadowy forests and emerge from the black void into the view of the Feiyang Alliance Army, the entire Sunset Mountain will turn into a blood-red hell.

There is no existence in this world that can block them. Even the most elite Fei Alliance Mechanical Warriors, in front of these Black Deaths, are only meant to be slaughtered! They will be ruthlessly stripped of life, their positions will be smashed, their command posts will be destroyed, and the logistical supply lines will fall into endless panic and chaos!

When the general assault is launched an hour later, the main force of the Northern Cluster, which has been blocked for a full six hours below Sunset Mountain, will shatter through Sunset Mountain along the path led by the Judgers, like breaking dry sticks.

The campaign will end, even faster than imagined.

With the spread of the news, the entire Su Jie Alliance Army is in a state of agitation. Everyone is anticipating the moment the sharpest sword of the Western Alliance pierces Sunset Mountain. The frustration of thirteen strong assaults without any progress seems to vanish in this instant!

Langman is very satisfied with this reaction of the forces,

The news was signaled by him personally to be spread.

After being beaten black and blue at Sunset Mountain, the frontline forces’ morale would inevitably be affected. At this moment, releasing this news inspires the frontline forces far more than additional troop reinforcements.

As for the need for confidentiality, he is not worried. Given the rough nature of the information and the terrifying combat power of the Judgers, even if soldiers are captured by the Fei Alliance People and the news is leaked, it would not cause any harm. The only ones to worry about are the pitiful defenders of Sunset Mountain. It is unknown if the news would count as luck for them. If they knew, it might throw the entire Sunset Mountain Defense Line into panic and chaos!

At this moment, the Judger squad, gathering everyone’s attention, has not yet set out. The five squad leaders, dressed in neat high-collar coats, are standing around the electronic sandbox, listening to Reinhardt assign tasks.

Under Reinhardt’s arrangement, these five squads will first control the battlefield below Sunset Mountain, cover battlefield intelligence, then penetrate behind the Sunset Mountain Defense Line, while reconnoitering enemy defenses, launch unrestricted attacks. The attack targets include everything—front positions, logistical supply depots, self-propelled artillery routes, command centers, and more.

As Reinhardt’s finger repeatedly points to each path on the Sunset Mountain Defense Line, each valley, Langman’s admiration for this former Gazalin Admiral deepens layer by layer.

Everyone knows that the Judgers possess powerful combat abilities, their greatest function is breakthrough and decapitation. However, without rich experience and military acumen, a Commander cannot truly unleash their combat capabilities. In ordinary Commander’s hands, their greatest potential is used for breakthrough in frontal combat, or as enhanced reconnaissance Soldier and behind-enemy-lines Special Forces.

Yet in Reinhardt’s hands, the combat power of this force was truly unleashed.

Every time his finger points to a location on the Sunset Mountain Defense Line, Langman feels his heart skip a beat. He even wonders whether if he were the Commander of the Sunset Mountain defenders, would he surrender?

The intelligence was provided by him personally to Reinhardt. In terms of intelligence quantity, the newly arrived Reinhardt could absolutely not have more than he does. However, based on such an amount of intelligence, Reinhardt could read on the electronic sandbox the most crucial points of the Sunset Mountain battle.

His every directive pierces straight at the vital points of the Sunset Mountain Defense Line!

Take the left flank of the 152 position as an example.

In Reinhardt’s plan, a Judger squad will circle around the left rear side of the 152 position following a rugged valley, then climb up, avoiding enemy frontal fortifications, and enter a densely forested hill behind the 152 position.

Although Langman does not know what is inside that hill, he is certain it is a key area for the defenders of the 152 position. Perhaps it is a self-propelled artillery garrison, a material transfer base, a command post, or a reserve force ready to reinforce the 152 high ground front line along crisscrossed trenches.

A sudden stab at this place would be absolutely fatal for the 152 high ground.
