Chapter 1465: Chapter 10: He Was Right_2

”However, General Tian’s opinion differs from ours. He insists that the enemy will deploy no less than twenty armored divisions at Sunset Mountain to launch a super offensive and completely breach the west line of Phoenix City.” Margaret lightly stroked the strands of hair by her ear and said, ”I didn’t agree with him before, but now I think he is right.”

”Wait.....” Pierre raised his hand, seemingly finding it hard to digest. He looked at Margaret incredulously: ”Putting aside whether your judgment is accurate, what is the basis for it, I just want to ask, if the enemy really attacks Sunset Mountain, according to what you just said... are you planning to take out Bellif’s main force?!”

”That’s right.” Margaret nodded, the effortlessly captivating smile on her alluring face sent a chill down Chen Fengxi and Pierre’s spines.

”That’s impossible!” Pierre tried hard to lower his voice to appear more calm: ”Margaret, I hope you can be rational. You have to know, even Marshal Hastings wouldn’t make such a decision at a time like this. We need victory, but we can’t be overly reckless......”

”No,” Margaret shook her head decisively, firmly saying, ”We have no choice.”

She walked to the center of the hall in front of the main SkyNet screen and nodded at the little kid.

Despite thinking that disguising himself as a genius child using the keyboard when he can communicate directly with the central computer was silly, the little kid’s fingers still swiftly danced on the keyboard. He must control the computer in this way while also controlling the engineers of SkyNet, letting the whole system fall under control.

A simulation assignment appeared on the main screen.

”This is General Tian’s simulation assignment,” Margaret spoke calmly with her arms crossed over her chest: ”Everyone can take a look.”

The mesmerizingly beautiful female officer wore a fitting, waist-cinching blue uniform. The hard yet fluid lines of the military attire, accentuated by the girl’s graceful figure, presented a harmonious beauty of rigidity and softness. Her light golden hair tied into a neat ponytail under the wide-brimmed military cap, her face perfectly defining the word ’beauty,’ leaving one enamored.

During the presentation of the simulation assignment, the girl’s expression was calm. However, anyone could hear the undisguised pride in Fatty in this proud daughter of heaven’s tone.

The staff looked at the screen. Soon, they were captivated by the simulation assignment displayed.

The simulation was divided into three parts: intelligence analysis, plan explanation, and simulation results. Each part was extremely detailed, so detailed that it was hard to believe a single person could produce it in just a few hours.

Everyone even suspected that before entering Leifeng Star, Fatty had already acquired more comprehensive intelligence than the command department.

As time ticked away, with the others delving deeper into the simulation assignment, the command room fell into a suffocatingly heavy silence.

Chen Fengxi lit a cigarette, sat down in a chair, and gazed at the screen without uttering a word.

The simulation assignment before them seemed to exaggerate and alarm unnecessarily.

In this simulation assignment, Fatty first analyzed dozens of past battles on the western line of Phoenix City. He believed Bellif had already dug a trap as early as two weeks before or even earlier.

This trap included both overt and covert strategies.

Bellif never intended to conceal his forces. In fact, even when fighting SkyNet to the brink of mutual destruction, he didn’t need to hide the troop deployment information, as the Fei Alliance Joint Army couldn’t completely control it.

Over the past two weeks, Bellif launched six major offensives and dozens of medium and small battles across various defense zones on the western line, continuously impacting the Resk Main Army’s defenses. Meanwhile, concealed by frequent attacks, over twenty armored divisions had boldly moved near Sunset Mountain and Frenso Town.

These units scattered within the attacking forces of various sectors. Some followed the blue arrows on the map to attack the bandit army’s defenses, some attempted to maneuver between sectors, some stationed in towns for rest, while others openly moved towards specific directions.

To hide the intention of the main offensive, Bellif broke them into pieces. Now, two weeks later, as his troops started attacking Frenso Town, these at least twenty divisions had converged into a Damocles’ sword hanging over the western line of Phoenix City.

If adopting a hindsight approach to searching for evidence from this result, everyone quickly thought of the three Western Alliance Armored Division’s eerily sudden appearance at Frenso Town and something like Jiepeng’s 1912 Armored Division at Defense Zone 130, growing larger after a month’s battle instead of shrinking.

The whole western line of Phoenix City seemed just like this.

However, it all was overshadowed by the high-frequency attacks of the Western Alliance. The Leifeng Star Army, occupied with defense, knew that the Western Alliance was desperately attempting insertions and attacks but couldn’t track these forces’ movements. They knew their opponent was replenishing troops but didn’t know how many units like Jiepeng’s 1912 Division were in the Western Alliance forces on the western line of Phoenix City, not weakened but strengthened.

Everyone only knew the Western Alliance kept launching high-frequency attacks while the Fei Alliance’s defenses appeared solid and resilient, not broken by the enemy. This phenomenon was deemed abnormal in Fatty’s simulation, yet before this, it was the reason everyone strived to maintain the current defensive posture!

After two weeks of boiling frogs in warm water, Bellif added fuel at Frenso Town.

This famed Suss General had an extremely clear strategic thought. He knew his forces were at an advantage now. Therefore, he drew out the Fei Alliance in battles. Indeed, in every previous engagement, he wasn’t in a hurry to break through the defenses. He just dragged the Fei Alliance, consuming their forces, putting the Fei Alliance in a defensive dilemma.

War isn’t only won by conspiracy. When hiding intentions, he also used momentum to suppress people, employing overt strategies!

If Frenso Town gets opened up and the Fei Alliance sends reinforcements, Bellif will deploy a small portion of his forces to hold in Frenso Town and concentrate his main forces on attacking another key point. If the Fei Alliance ignores Frenso Town, Bellif will directly assault Frenso, penetrate deep along the intercity road, and then flank both sides.

This is the most conventional tactic, but in the hands of a great general like Bellif, it possesses the power to create miracles from the mundane.

Tactics are just minor details, mere tools. His prowess lies in wielding the grand momentum of the entire battle! He utilized such momentum to the fullest.

All of this was a conclusion Fatty drew from analyzing the battle reports of dozens of operations.

And through analyzing the movement routes of Suss’s troops mentioned in the reports and the underlying motives of the Frenso Town campaign, he reached another bold conclusion that the main attack direction Bellif chose was Sunset Mountain.

Regarding the suspicion of Bellif concentrating twenty divisions, Chen Fengxi wanted to dismiss it as alarmist but couldn’t. As for questioning the main attack direction being Sunset Mountain, he desired to doubt it but found no reason to refute it.

He had never seen a simulation done so meticulously.

Just by seriously looking at the combat routes delineated on Fatty’s operation map, even a fool would know that the shortest time to gather, suitable for a concentrated assault, and most responsive to the main battlefield at Frenso Town, none other than Sunset Mountain!

Bellif chose Sunset Mountain because he had the troops to bully by force. He intended to eat the ten divisions stationed at Sunset Mountain while breakthrough. Whether it succeeded or not, taking ten divisions was a pain Fei Alliance couldn’t bear. It was a ploy of resourcefulness!

Furthermore, Sunset Mountain was the only location within three hundred kilometers of Frenso Town capable of high-speed maneuvering and sufficiently spacious to unleash the fighting power of twenty divisions. The Western Alliance gained an advantage in several battles launched here. They were familiar with the terrain and the defensive formations, and it was also the place where the Fei Alliance’s forces seemed strongest.

This was an unexpected victory.

At least a few minutes ago, neither Chen Fengxi nor Pierre could conceive that Bellif would cut here. Had Fatty not drawn out his thoughts and presented them to everyone, he nearly succeeded.

Having finished a cigarette in silence, Chen Fengxi stood up.

He looked at Pierre and asked, ”What do you think?”

Pierre’s gaze returned from the simulation screen, paused for a long time, then took a deep breath and solemnly said, ”He is right!”
